he should have started the song with the chorus first, it would catch people’s attention more. it’s aiight, but anybody could have made this song. CL is cool for giving people shine who wouldn’t normally get it though.

Quite a few rappers are college educated but keep it quiet as if its some sort of shame its sad really.
Deontre is okay but nothing to write home about, the song sounded like NERD. He needs to do something majorly interesting if he wants to get signed by a major label. And I must add that getting signed by a big label isn’t always as great as people think, he should focus more on growing his fanbase which is imo phase 1 of becoming a successful artist.
And I’m glad CL are giving everyone a chance to submit their music, hoping to hear quality stuff in the future

The chorus needs more words or something. The verse’s are good but the chorus… needs to sound bigger, yeah BIGGER it’s a combination of the writing the production and the mixing. A song like that I need to be able to recite that in the club. But the way the words lay in the song, doesn’t seem like it would work….. But has potential! Definately That!

Umm, was I the only one thrown off a little bit in the beginning of the song? Like, i didnt know when the scattered beats would end and his 1st verse begins…whatever, I dig the song, it enough to bop your head to..he’s a cutie tho. And i think it’s dope that he went to college and actually graduated, best of luck to him!

Sounds very Joe Budden-ish…I can hear them playin this in the club or a radio single but that’s about it. I just have had a problem with rap over the past couple of years because it’s become so less about lyricism and so much more about being commercial and just coming out with something hot. I mean, he’s talking about shoes I mean chile…
This kid is NICE! It takes being confident in one’s self to pursue an education as well as build your craft and stick to it…i dig this track–it has crazy energy, nice hook, and great lyrics..Overall, its A-typical, not that ish I’m tired of hearin’ on the MF’in’ RADIO!! If u don’t dig this–do urself a favor and jump outta buildin’! EASY!!
