wow this kelis and nas news make no sense. They looked so happy together, kelis is always smiling and glowing. This is kind of discouraging, they seemed like such a strong team, and they have a baby on the way!! i guess people try to smile the hardest when something is wrong, but they don’t want you to know something is wrong. i hope they possibly reconcile!

@ EL I know the reasons for them filing divorce goes deeper than “he cheated” or “was verbally abusive”. Those are just manifestations of insecurities Nas has about himself. I think when most people get married, they’re in it for the long haul but eveyone has a breaking point. In the midst of infidelity, some women may stay in the relationship for the children, some may stay in it because they’ve forgiven their partner, and other stay married for reasons that may be only known to them. What ever reason Kelis chose is good enough for her and that is all that matters. When I hear, “well what about the baby growing up with no Father” I think ok that doesn’t mean Nas is not going to be a Father to this child and really do you want the child to grow up in a home thinking verbal abuse and infidelity is ok…I didn’t think so.

I think CL posted this just as a little FYI in the celebrity news sphere, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with their bloggers. Some bloggers may get deep with the post and others may give their two cents and move on…we all have lives to live.

Any lawyer, regardless of it being a celebrity case can get delays and work on plea bargins if they know how to play the “game” and find the loop holes. Thats what Mark Geragos does and thats why he’s so in demand and only celebrities and such can afford him. And actually this would all be over and done if CB wasn’t a celebrity. The average man gets a slap on the wrist for assault and battery. Everyday pooce so up at homes for actual domestic assualt and these men if even arrested, are back home in a week with a warning, or probabtion. Do you know of many ppl. male or female serving four years for hitting a female. They’re going hard because CB is a celebrity. They’d be better off, and it would probably lead to a better outcome if the sent his ass home to his Momma on probation or something and require him to attend courses.
