MUSIC VIDEO: MAXWELL – PRETTY WINGS + PICS FROM HIS PRESS CONFERENCE
Singer Maxwell released the video for his new song “Pretty Wings” on Tuesday and can I say that I’m soooo happy he’s back.
Maxwell, who is one of the headliners on The Essence Music Festival this year, will release part one of the highly anticipated trilogy “Black Summer’s Night” on July 7th after an eight year hiatus.

Pretty Wings is just okay! Maxwell owes his fans more than this. Where has he been and what are Pretty Wings? The song is lacking. The video is steaming, but his first return video shouldn’t be about sleeping with multiple partners. Not a good message for all the weak brothers. There’s some real issues with his camp. Somebody should be sent to Donald Trumps board room. Glad he’s back though. I know he will deliver good songs. I would love to hear him do some Marvin…! Distant Lover and I Want You for starters!

Did you listen to the lyrics? I think the song is about multiple past failed relationships and his realization he had to let go and set the women free so that they both could move on. I’m guessing the Pretty Wings are that unique sumthin sumthin the ladies had that he loved. But that’s just Faith’s take on it.

I did see an interview when he commented on this song in particular. You are right. He said he did meet the perfect mate/girl, but he wasn’t ready. So he let her go.

I did go back and listen after Faith gave me her take…! I understand now, the “Pretty Wings” message, but multiple partners on stained sheets is what I took away. I got the perception most men would get, that is…”multiple partners”. And, that Maxwell likes to spoon his women. After he’s done, the women float into space filled with bless! lol!
Not the Maxwell I remember. His voice is still great, but “Pretty Wings” is karaoke!
