This past weekend, I got a chance to kick it in the studio with Cassie down here in Atlanta. She came to town with Diddy and played some of her new tracks for producer Dallas Austin at his studio. She was also accompanied by singer/songwriter Kalenna (pictured below), who was so much fun to be around.
Cassie’s new album is shaping up to be quite an interesting project with some really great sounds. We sat around, talking about music, life and just had a great time. Cassie and Diddy made us feel right at home. Check out the pics and stay tuned for some new music from Cassie…

Sanaa Lathan loves lovely in red as she sits on a rooftop at an event in New York City on Sunday. The actress attended the celebration for the 30th anniversary of the Independent Filmmaker Project at the Cooper Square Hotel.
In related news, Sanaa currently has two upcoming movie projects in the works and is co-starring in the new cartoon The Cleveland Show, which is expected to premiere on Fox in September.

One of my favorite actors, Idris Elba is pictured attending the BAFTA Television Awards 2009 held at The Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre on Sunday, April 26th in London, England.
Idris co-starred in the popular HBO series, The Wire from ‘02-’04 and was being honored at the event. Not to mention, he is probably pretty happy that his new movie Obsessed is now the #1 movie in America. Check out more pics below.

Actress Holly Robinson-Peete and husband, former USC and NFL quarterback Rodney Peete and their 4 children (Robinson, Roman and Twins Ryan and Rodney, Jr.) speak to the crowd during the ‘Autism Speaks Walk Now’ event this past weekend in Pasadena, California.
Holly and Rodney have been dedicated spokespersons for Autism since their son, Rodney Jr. was diagnosed with the brain developmental disorder at age 3.
Holly and her daughter Ryan also co-authored a book about their story, entitled My Brother Charlie and it’s slated for publication next spring to coincide with Autism Awareness Month. Continue Reading »
