I’m a little confused about Mario’s project. From the sounds on the last updates he gave us, he said he was going to scale down the amount of producers that he’s working with on the new album, but it seems as though there are a lot of producers he’s working with this time around. The new song, “Break Up” is produced by Bangladesh, and is written by Sean Garrett. I’m not mad at the song, it’s just that something sounds a tad unfinished about it.

Ciara’s Fantasy Ride finally has a solid release date of May 5th and it seems as though it finally has developed a definite sound too. Judging from this Darkchild production and the current single, “Love Sex Magic,” Ciara is going for a more pop/dance album, which isn’t surprising. There’s a lot of synths and electronic elements on a lot of the newer material that’s leaked. Although I’m pretty tired of the word “swag,” I can’t say that this song bothers me. Great dance track.

It’s good to see that Bryan-Michael Cox is still the mix for Day 26′s new album, Forever In A Day, which drops April 14th. I like when the guys work with B. Cox, considering that him and his team always do a great job with vocal production for the guys. Although “Anything” isn’t going to appear on the final cut of the new album, it’s good to see the boys maturing vocally. I also like the direction the song was going.

From the moment the beat on this song dropped, I was surprised. Usually I can’t tell the difference between any of the eras of Jagged Edge’s albums. For some reason, all of their songs remind me of eachother, and it just seems as though their music just sort of blurs together, because they haven’t really done anything outside of the box. But “Cloud 9″ is actually sort of refreshing. The production and vocal arrangement, to me, is different from anything they’ve done in quite some time.
What’s up with the new music. Not feeling it! Am I actually first? lol

Yes, I love it. The subliminals to people who just love to hate lol! They thought she was down for good and she’s up at #10 on the Hot 100! It’s funny because people always talking about that’st the only chart that matters and LSM makes it Ciara’s 8th Top 10 Hit on the Hot 100 and she’s only 23!
The only thing I like about Mario’s song is when the bass drops. I expected more from him. Overall, the song sucks and Brian you were right: It sounds “unfinished”.

I didn’t listen to Mario’s but everything else I heard and didn’t like. Day26 is such a talented group but their song is too slow for my taste. JE’s song sucks but I agree it’s different from their other material. Different is good BUT that song was not lol. Ciara’s song is so BOOOOOOOOOOOO! I like Ciara but her new material has not caught my attention. It’s like she’s doing what’s popular vs. what’s good for her. We’ll see…
