I’m a little confused about Mario’s project. From the sounds on the last updates he gave us, he said he was going to scale down the amount of producers that he’s working with on the new album, but it seems as though there are a lot of producers he’s working with this time around. The new song, “Break Up” is produced by Bangladesh, and is written by Sean Garrett. I’m not mad at the song, it’s just that something sounds a tad unfinished about it.

Ciara’s Fantasy Ride finally has a solid release date of May 5th and it seems as though it finally has developed a definite sound too. Judging from this Darkchild production and the current single, “Love Sex Magic,” Ciara is going for a more pop/dance album, which isn’t surprising. There’s a lot of synths and electronic elements on a lot of the newer material that’s leaked. Although I’m pretty tired of the word “swag,” I can’t say that this song bothers me. Great dance track.

It’s good to see that Bryan-Michael Cox is still the mix for Day 26′s new album, Forever In A Day, which drops April 14th. I like when the guys work with B. Cox, considering that him and his team always do a great job with vocal production for the guys. Although “Anything” isn’t going to appear on the final cut of the new album, it’s good to see the boys maturing vocally. I also like the direction the song was going.

From the moment the beat on this song dropped, I was surprised. Usually I can’t tell the difference between any of the eras of Jagged Edge’s albums. For some reason, all of their songs remind me of eachother, and it just seems as though their music just sort of blurs together, because they haven’t really done anything outside of the box. But “Cloud 9″ is actually sort of refreshing. The production and vocal arrangement, to me, is different from anything they’ve done in quite some time.
What the hell kind of music do you listen to Brian? That Jagged Edge song is horrible. This sounds like a bad psychedelic trip… And I agree with the poster above me.. definitely sounds like a freestyle.

Looks like Keri WHO might win this battle over Ciara….Her album is #4 on the charts and if you thing debuting @ #10 is big ups for a singer who has been out FOREVER Rihanna has more hits then Ciara who came out WAAAAAAY after Ci. Poor thang…Only if she could headline he OWN tour and quit being opening acts then MAYBE she can tell folks to kiss her swagg! SMH
Ciara’s song was a nice, danceable track, but it made me think of “The Way I Are” by Timbaland, Keri Hilson and D.O.E. The Jagged Edge song was just OK. The Mario song was nice, but needs to get rid of Gucci Mane. The Day 26 tack was nice.

Ciara always been pop but Beyonce and Rihanna is more pop then her and so what the big deal. This song is so HOOTTTT HEavy and MAJOR! Just goes to show Ciara is back and coming for heads and im sure its HOTTER material on the album May 5th people!
The Day 26 track (instrumentals) really reminds me of Brandy’s ‘When You Touch Me’ from her Full Moon album. My favorite track on that album btw.

Only listened to Ciara’s song twice….first time around I was like…hmmmm…..so gave it another try and I was actually singing along…..nice upbeat song to listen to when you are on the way to a club or social event….Pucker up! (KISS MY SWAG)~!
