♫ Brandy – Love Me the Most (full) – listen
Here’s a new track that was leaked from Brandy’s Human sessions. It’s supposedly produced by Bryan-Michael Cox, who was initially supposed to be executive produce Brandy’s latest effort. The song is similar to the last cut on Brandy’s album, “Fall.” In any event, I always think that Brandy’s voice sounds amazing on any track that she touches, but I’m not sure whether or not it fit in with the overall feel of the album. Brandy, however, is already in the studio working on new material with Tricky Stewart. Should be interesting.
♫ Teairra Mari – Deja Vu (full) – [removed]
Teairra Mari is still on the promo trail for her sophomore album. I was hoping that she would be getting a little more promo with her new songs, but it seems as though it’s not taking off as quickly as I had hope. I’m not sure what’s going on with her project, At That Point, but new music is leaking. “Deja Vu” is not the best of the new material, but it’s produced by The Movement and still carries that pop/R&B sound that Teairra has been going for this go ’round.

Another artist who has been laying low. Disturbing Tha Peace’s Jarvis dropped a single last summer, but we never heard anything else from him. Here’s the new track, “Superman,” which takes from the popular Souljaboy song “Crank Dat.” The song was produced by Jazze Pha, and you can definitely hear him on the background vocals during the chorus. I’m hoping that DTP decided to put the time and energy (and money) into his project, because they haven’t been making much noise with any of their artists, aside from Ludacris…
♫ Johnta Austin – I’m A Mess (full) – listen
I think that Johnta Austin is a very talented songwriter — probably one of the most successful in the game, but it seems as though he just can’t break into the industry as an artist. And with all these writers and producers putting out albums (Keri Hilson, The Dream on his second, Ryan Leslie, etc.), Austin has to feel some kind of way with suffering from Sean Garrett syndrome. Ocean Drive has songs leaking left and right, but seems as though it will never see the light of day. His material isn’t bad, and his voice isn’t half bad either… so why can’t Johnta catch on?

@36 Beyonce DID NOT come out about two years after brandy she came out in the late 90′s and Brandy has been in the game since 93, Had her own sitcom for 6 seasons, played the first African American Cinderella which was the highest rating CBS has had ever in the history of television, Never Say Never went four times platinum and so did her debut album. Brandy is the closest voice compared to the GREAT Whitney Houston. Get your facts straight. Listen to Brandy’s older stuff she has that same soulful raspy tone as Whitney. IE: Sunny Day, Always on My Mind, Baby. Brandy is a TRUE artist and can’t be compared to any other artist out now. What’s sad is that her music is timeless and some people just don’t realize that. She is the definition of true music and Real R&B. She is talented with a GOD given gift and I support her in everything she does.
Brandy is a vocal genius. She slays every track with her tone,runs,harmonies, melodies and PURE emotion and Talent. She does no wrong in my eyes.
Go Brandy show these “SO CALLED” R&B singers how to record an amazing song. I totally agree with 61!

And Beyonce’s career is no where near the lenght of brandys. brandy been in the game since the early 90′s. nobody knew about beyonce till 1998. brandy is a veteran in the music game. Shes been in it for 16 years now. And we all know who the true artist is and who has a better voice.

Johnta is a nice, funny guy and all but his voice is sort of weak sounding to me. Maybe he’s just missing something. Didn’t quite like the song either.
I agree No 10, the Brandy joint sounds like Chris Breezy’s ‘Hard To Say Goodbye, I think cuz both songs were produced by B. Cox, not really feeling it though.
The Jarvis song is for Tweens.
I think Johnta can sing but I dont like him on that song, I think the song would be more suited for someone like Trey Songz. I like Johnta’s vocals on Bow Wow’s song ”You Can Get It All”

I’m not sure why but Brandy’s song reminded of rihanna’s We Ride. Brandy is definitely overlooked and underrated. That woman is in her own league. It’s one thing to not like an artist, but it’s another to continuously try to discredit them just to hype your favorite. It doesn’t take away anthing to give credit where credit is due. People need to grow up.
