With the news that the CW comedy “Everybody Hates Chris” wasn’t picked up for a fifth season, show creator Chris Rock is planning to give the show a proper finale.
In Rock’s real life, he dropped out of high school to start working in stand-up comedy. “Our Chris is now a sophomore in high school, so the timing is lining up pretty well,” says Terry Crews, who plays Rock’s dad in the series. “Once he becomes a comedian, the show’s over.”
The story line of the final episode, which is currently scheduled for May 8th, will mirror Rock’s real-life decision to drop out of school in the 10th grade to pursue his career in comedy.
16-year-old Tyler James Williams, who plays Chris on the show, told TV Guide that the character will complete a high-school equivalency test.
“An envelope arrives,” Williams said. “But before we find out the results, we fade to black. If it ends here, we ended it the right way.”
FANTASIA REALITY SHOW PICKED UP BY VH1
Fantasia Barrino was introduced to the world via a very popular reality competition (American Idol) and it has been recently confirmed that she will now join the long list of celebrities who have their own reality shows.

BRANDY MAKING A COMEBACK TO T.V.
Singer and former Moesha star Brandy has jumped on board ABC’s forthcoming series “This Little Piggy.”
The show is centered around a family man who’s forced to take in his younger brother and sister when times get tough, “This Little Piggy” will feature Brandy as the “high maintenance wife” of the younger brother played by Jeff Davis.
Planned for pilot presentation during the 2009-2010 season, “This Little Piggy” comes from writers Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley (Mad TV). “Piggy” marks Brandy’s first scripted television role since an appearance on the UPN show “One On One”.
Brandy recently tweeted about landing a TV pilot role saying:

Oxygen said Wednesday that it’s developing a reality show about actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and her live-in boyfriend, Atlanta area entrepreneur Kaseem Penn. It will explore what it’s like being young, rich, single and co-habitating. No air date is set for the show, titled “Keshia and Kaseem.” [SOURCE]

Props to Brandy for following through on her standard of sticking to scripted television shows. She said on an MTV article last December that reality television is just not for her, and that it has taken over. I cosign with everyone above who’s just sick of reality television. I hope the pilot gets picked up, if it’s any good, they’ll have my viewership!

She graduated from Spelman and has stayed positively afloat. Yet, this show legitimatizes “live in boyfriends and girlfriends”. Many times I read posts from CL readers on their angst about Kimora and Halle for being unwed and having children. What is the difference with Keisha?! I am realy upset that Everybody Hates Chris is being cancled. The last episode with Chris talking back to his mother was really funny from beginning to end. They could of extend it alittle longer. I hope they do not do the same to the Game.
