With the news that the CW comedy “Everybody Hates Chris” wasn’t picked up for a fifth season, show creator Chris Rock is planning to give the show a proper finale.
In Rock’s real life, he dropped out of high school to start working in stand-up comedy. “Our Chris is now a sophomore in high school, so the timing is lining up pretty well,” says Terry Crews, who plays Rock’s dad in the series. “Once he becomes a comedian, the show’s over.”
The story line of the final episode, which is currently scheduled for May 8th, will mirror Rock’s real-life decision to drop out of school in the 10th grade to pursue his career in comedy.
16-year-old Tyler James Williams, who plays Chris on the show, told TV Guide that the character will complete a high-school equivalency test.
“An envelope arrives,” Williams said. “But before we find out the results, we fade to black. If it ends here, we ended it the right way.”
FANTASIA REALITY SHOW PICKED UP BY VH1
Fantasia Barrino was introduced to the world via a very popular reality competition (American Idol) and it has been recently confirmed that she will now join the long list of celebrities who have their own reality shows.
Read what Jeff Olde Executive VP of Original Programming for VH1 had to say:
Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to American Idol.
Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world. So many people wanted to work with her on this, but Fantasia is now part of the VH1 family, and we’re so happy to have her.
The show is set to start airing in 2010. Sounds like a must see to me.
BRANDY MAKING A COMEBACK TO T.V.
Singer and former Moesha star Brandy has jumped on board ABC’s forthcoming series “This Little Piggy.”
The show is centered around a family man who’s forced to take in his younger brother and sister when times get tough, “This Little Piggy” will feature Brandy as the “high maintenance wife” of the younger brother played by Jeff Davis.
Planned for pilot presentation during the 2009-2010 season, “This Little Piggy” comes from writers Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley (Mad TV). “Piggy” marks Brandy’s first scripted television role since an appearance on the UPN show “One On One”.
Brandy recently tweeted about landing a TV pilot role saying:
I got the role
YIKES!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know what to do with myself.. tv here I come.. thank you for the support and the kind words. It’s for a television pilot. Please pray that it gets picked up. [SOURCE]
KEISHA KNIGHT-PULLIAM TO STAR IN SHOW TOO

Rudy from “The Cosby Show” has grown up, and she’s about to show off her life on cable TV.
Check out what the Oxygen Network just announced this week.
Oxygen said Wednesday that it’s developing a reality show about actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and her live-in boyfriend, Atlanta area entrepreneur Kaseem Penn. It will explore what it’s like being young, rich, single and co-habitating. No air date is set for the show, titled “Keshia and Kaseem.” [SOURCE]

BTW, reality hows for Keshia and Fantasia are a step back. Tasia needs to get back in the studio, her last album was hot! Keshia I can sort of understand since there are so few roles out there for black actors,in the mainstream.
EDIT: *shows*
BTW I think #24 was trying to do that Charles Barkley thing…He is ALWAYS saying that a living person is turning over in their grave about something!
KEISHA IS A SILVER DOLLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL MAMI!!!!
Hope Brandy show does well. It will be great to see Fantasia back on the screen. Come on Rudy, Keshia you graduated from Spelman, things have been going so well for you. The tyler perry gig was a ok but a reality show with you shacken up you may as well try to get one with you where your degree didnt workout you in your man had to get on welfare cause you got pregnant and you was taken your food stamps to the liquor store buying you a forty and some pall mall cigarettes and your man was on the corner selling your government cheese to buy some paper towels for your baby cause you could afford pampers for the baby. And don’t forget to send Spelman a thank you letter. lmfao
I’m sick of the CW dropping good shows, fourtnately this time around the timing is perfect…..all that other “clear” people mess that comes on there stay around forever in a day…just a shame.
I am one on FANTASIA biggist supporters and fans.I am so happy that I Will be able to see her once a week on TV.I will not miss one episode.I know it’s going to be the biggist…..Congrets FANTAISIA…..

i am so happy for brandy, and at least everybody hates chris is getting a season finale.it was one of the rare shows i actually liked.it was so funny.i hope fantasia ain’t ghetto on her show lol because i love me some tasia

Ugh. I really don’t like reality TV much but it would be nice to see Brandy on TV again. I used to watch her show when she was pregnant w/her daughter and Moesha was my show!!
Damn. CW just throwing the good shows out the window, will there be any black shows left? Not trying to make it about race, but I’m just saying.
LMAO @ 2! I was thinking the same thing when I saw that picture.
am i the only one that thinks everybody hates chris is WACK as hell?? The acting is terrible especially from the father. WHO in the WORLD casted his ass?
Chris Rock and Bernie Mac shows did show blacks in a different light for television but still were shitty shows and CORNY!!!
I can’t wait for Brandy’s show and hope it airs. She usually does well with TV and brings in the viewers believe it or not. I am so excited for her to be on a popular network like ABC!! and not CW or BET!
The picture of Fantasia is the best I have ever seen her look. Rudy seems like a bore.
At least Tyler Perry is trying to move up the ranks. Other than him and “The Game” EHC was all we had. We can’t have anything!
That’s why our kids look up to Hanah Montana and Zac and Cody and all the others. Even though I like Zac and Cody, the rest I’ll pass. Our kids have no black children on tv to look up to.
I miss Martin, Living Color, Living Single, Half and Half, A Different World, Girlfriends, Moesha, Sister Sister, What’s Happening, Good times, Different Strokes…need I go on???
Yeah, we watch re-runs all day, but it is not the same. I bet if we boycotted these tv stations our voices would be heard, but no, we gotta watch something, so it will just keep going on. So sad.
TO ALL THOSE IDIOTS MAKING FUN OF Kaseem Penn YOU GUYS ARE IGNORANT. FOR YOUR INFORMATION WHEN WAS 3 YEARS OLD HE, HIS MOM, SISTER, AND BROTHER WERE SEVERELY BURNED IN A HOUSE FIRE. SO MANY YOU GUYS SHOULD THINK, RESEARCH AND KNOW A PERSON BEFORE YOU SPEAK
