Growing up as a military brat in Hawai’i was a life-altering experience for me, so Kanye West’s new video for the song “Amazing,” (featuring Young Jeezy) reminds me of how beautiful the 808 state still is.
The star premiered “Amazing” on 106th & Park on Thursday and it features aerial and landscape shots of the Oahu island. Oh yeah, the talented Hype Williams directed it.

I love how the video was both simple AND complex at the same time. Say what you will about his ego, but everything the man does, you can tell he puts his heart and soul into it. It doesn’t seem to be just a job for him, like, just shoot a video and go home and don’t worry about the end results. You can tell he considers it an art. So I can say the video was beautiful, as most of his videos are in their own way.
And might I say, where did this new sexiness come from with Jeezy? It’s something about him now that’s really hot.

This is one of my favorite songs on the album minus jeezy. Unfortunately the video was kinda boring. I’m glad it’s not the typical rap video… the scenery was amazing-I GUESS THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT. Anyhoo I love me some Kanye, Chicago represent!
