Concrete Loop was exclusively given a listen to to the girls of Electrik Red’s debut album, How to Be A Lady: Volume 1. So, we’ve got a couple of exclusive from the Binkie, Naomi, Leslie and Sarah.
The album was written and produced by The Dream and Tricky Stewart in its entirety, and they are signed to his Radio Killa Records imprint. The girls are set to release their debut next Tuesday, May 26th.

Why must people continue to compare them to groups they’re not like? First off they weren’t generically manufactured like 90% of other groups! They’ve been in the game for years prior to creating their own success, and their material talks about everyday issues grown women deal with and go through! And like Black-N-Mild said, there are plenty of artists who can “really sing” but you don’t support them, therefore they end up fading into the background!! Expand your horizons and buy the album May 26th!

NO THANKS!!! I’l pass on this group, or at least this song. I’m STILL playing Danity Kane’s last (and final) effort. This song does not make me want to make love to it, clean up to it, take a road trip to it, cook to it, study/work to it, dance to it, vibe/chill to it, be uplifted by it or anything else that music moves/encourages you to do. In fact I felt kind of depressed halfway through the song! Hopefully they have better material on their album. If being compared to Vanity 6 is such a good thing then why can’t I remember what was Vanity 6′s follow-up release??? I agree with some of the others…Electric Red is shaping up to be a flash in the pan, one-hit/one-album wonder!

Although I love love love love love ERED, I feel you on how the cd makes, or rather doens’t make you feel. I wasn’t a DK fan AT ALL but I could see how their songs could bump a little harder than ERED’s. But with ERED their songs are more grown up and not so commercial or bubble-gummy. I feel like I’m back in the 80′s listening to my mom’s old Vanity records, getting in trouble for listening to Nasty Girl lol
