Gotta Love Fantasia…really talented…her tribute to Patti LaBelle was indeed one of her hottest performances…she will only get better with time…regardless of the numbers, as an IDOL winner she hasn’t done the numbers as Kelly, Carrie and Clay….but, white people buy more music than we do, they support their fans and want to see them succeed. We are a very fickle buying public and selling to us ain’t easy, especially, since we either find the music or artist boring and some of it is or not feeling it or sizing up the artist based on looks…the record companies don’t put out the most talented artists and the ones with talent oozing don’t get the promotional dollars, radio play or editorial as the handful that just happed to breakout, marginal or exceptionally talented.

Fantasia is a survivor, she’s manage to last this long in a business where fame is quite fleeting. Because she gives a powerful stage show, she’ll always have fans and her gospel CD will be the bizness I’m sure. Gospel people buy music and support the music and artists they like.

I think fantasia is a great singer. I do want to give her some financial advice though:

You have done a lot to help your family and that is a blessing. Please don’t allow them to make you go broke trying to help EVERYONE. You are not obligated to let all of your people mooch off of you just because you are making money now. All those people living in your house still need to have JOBS. Just look at people like MC Hammer who went broke trying to put everyone on. Invest in your future and save. It’s all for the sake of your daughter. I wish you the best.
