Guess who was spotted leaving an event on Friday afternoon in Beverly Hills? Hint: Her career has kinda halted since co-starring in a movie last year.
It’s actress Gabrielle Union! She was spotted leaving the Byron and Tracey party on Friday.
Even though she has a rumored TV Pilot in the works, Gabrielle hasn’t really been doing anything acting-wise since her role in Cadillac Records. Hopefully we’ll see her in some new projects this year.

It’s her own fault for signing on to do something that was beyond her acting capabilities. She REALLY overracted in clips from that movie..It was TERRIBLE hearing her natural voice interconnected with whatever sort of voice she thought she had going/planned for the character. She is really someone who should aim lower: playing typical characters in big budget chick flicks, maybe? Or taking a superficial role on tv… She’s not a great talent.
On a slightly irrelevant note, did anybody hear that she’s producing some VH1 reality show about the baby mama’s/girlfriends of rappers? lol Isn’t that so ironic?

I guess it is because they are all “mediocre” actresses and are all being hit with the same “karma” you stated Gabrielle Union is experiencing.
I will grant you talent level does vary. But I ask you to consider this; there are “few credible roles” and “very few leading roles” for black actresses to play in films and series created and funded by the big studios and tv networks. The public (that includes us) seems to be okay with that. Is it because most black actresses are less talented? That only black “karma” exists? Some success has been achieved, but there really are other forces at work here.
Thank goodness for Tyler Perry and others like him who clearly tries to fill the void by keeping some black actors/ actresses employed. BTW, mediocrity and karma hasn’t stopped some non black actors and actors from having their faces appear all over the screen or from taking their big fat paychecks to the bank. Peace.

Gabrielle has a role on a new show coming on the CW called Dime Wars which i wont be watching since i have chosen not to watch the CW anymore since they canceled The Game. I also read on another website that she is going to be executive producing a new reality show on VH1 about ex-girlfriends, ex-wifes and babymothers of famous celebrities and athletes.
People need to get over themselves and stop pinning their own mental issues on somebody else. Who the hell cares if she has color issues or not? What does that have to do with her acting abilities?
