Check out the single from Def Jam signee Kristinia DeBarge. The 19 year-old’s debut single “Goodbye” is currently on #30 on the Billboard Hot 100. DeBarge carries on the tradition of her father James DeBarge, keyboardist and founding member of beloved Motown ’80s group DeBarge.
“Goodbye” is co-produced by Babyface and The Pentagon, who assisted on the majority of the album. Her debut album is set for release on June 30th.
I like it.. She has a very Strong voice… Her family is very talented, so I’m not surprised.

I attended a showcase for this girl for work and she had a great personality and she can really sing!
She sounds like she can definitely sing, but I’m so sick and tried of this style of singing.
I heard this song a while back, and I’m not feeling it. It’s definitely a song for the younger generation. I grew up listening to DeBarge; actually I knew about them before they hit the L.A. scene via a girl in high school whose sister dated Phillip Ingram of the group, Switch (two DeBarge brothers (Bobby and Tommy) were members of the group).
Kristinia is a very pretty girl, and I’m sure she’ll go far because she has the look, but an okay voice in my opinion.

I just listened to Jessica Jarrell’s “ARMAGEDDON”, it’s sounds just like a “CORNY POP SONG”. She has a cool voice but the song was just okay. There’s obviously a formula that record execs stick to for new artist don’t go blaming it on America lol

I like her voice. She’s got crisp vocals, but the song is just aight to me. Babyface is behind her so I think her album will turn out to be be pretty good. That man is musical genius, so I’ll give her album a listen when it drops.
@17 LOL. I just knew someone was gonna bring that up. Let’s be real here, if you didn’t know her last name was DeBarge you wouldn’t even be thinking that. She doesn’t have any of the Jacksons’ features and everybody knows they have strong genes including the biracial kids (i.e. 3T ; Jermaine’s kids). I also read that she’s only 19 and during that time (’89, ’90) Janet had cranked out 7 music videos and a tour for the Rhythm Nation album so she obviously isn’t her child.
I do not like the song. She is remixing a classic to some high school bs. Why do people insist on remixing classics. I do not comment on postings but this one I just had to. Please leave the classics alone.

She can sing…the song is Ok, sounds like Britney’s “Womanizer”…some cookie cutter Pop…unfortunately, we aren’t buying enough music to make music that caters to R&B and Hip Hop…I don’t blame artists and producers for trying to attract a wider audience…otherwise, they will get dropped…I wish her the best, especially, after seeing the documentary on her family…many have paid dues for her to be on the scene…but, I still wonder…is this Janet’s daughter, she does resemble her…one never knows…

I like the song but I am the only one that thinks it sounds like Rihanna should be singing this song. It sounds like something Rihanna would do.

every pop sounding song is not something rihanna should sing. She did not come up with this type of music it’s been out since the 90′s (techno-pop) so anybody else that wants to sing it is allowed to.
anywhoo, i first heard this song months ago, and they play it on a “NIVEA” skincare commercial. It’s not bad, but I think i’m a lil too grown (22) for this to buy her album. wish her luck though!

This is hot! I love the fact that they are making her a cross-over artist from the start. They were hoping to have the same success in the 80′s with her father and his siblings, but drugs and family demons took over. I hope she takes the pop industry by storm.
