Brandy would make a lot more money if she actually wrote her own songs. And the duet with Ray J is a no no, surely she could collaborate with someone who had talent. Nonetheless I normally like her albums, they’re always solid.

I dont think Brandy is washed up. She needs to leave them lame ass producers (THE DREAM) alone. And Pharrell is hit and miss when he works with female artists. She needs to beat Bryan Cox over the head and tell him to make her some hits and stop giving them to Mary J. and Mariah.

Brandys new album should be a lot more fun, i think she realised that she didnt tap into the fun side on the human album or that the label wanted to focus on her vunerbale side, as she was being humble about her ressurection into da industry but im sure this time shes eager for the fun.. she kept goin on about ‘first in luv’ being her third single off da human album and that track was fun. SICK beat !/SICK vocals?!! MADD adlibs?!! Just hope that her next effort gets a stronger promotion, and that the tracks for the new album are carefully selected, and the right singles are released. As for Ray.. i think they should save that for there collabo album,, but who knows. Brandy Getd NUFF love for me either way!!!

E. Badu: I’ll point-blank buy anything she makes…I don’t even have to listen to it. “Soldier” is my fav song off of her current album. I was riding with my mother a few weeks ago and that was song playing. And my mama was listening to the lyrics and summed up her feelings about the song nicely: “It sure is nice to listen to music that actually says something”.

There’s only so many songs about booties, break-ups and clubs that a person can take.

Brandy is the truth as has been since she hopped on the scene in the early 90’s and she still going strong. All the chicks who are out here Beyonce, Rihanna, Ciara she has already done what they have and done it by being herself and not by taking off her clothes, She did it with raw talent. She paved the way for all the girls. Brandy was the first chick to be able to have a successful music career, tv, movie, and put up #1 singles and sell millions of albums. She will make a true comeback cause talent rises above everything. I hope she is able to get the recognition that she truly deserves. Do your thing BROCKA I love ya and can’t wait for the new album.

i liked her last effort. yeah it was further than her usual left of center self, but if you really listen to it, there is truth laced through every track. no wonder it got so many accolades as “album of the year” or “top 10 albums of ‘08.” sista is the truth.
