—I know!! He was here a few months ago and sold out instantly! Hopefully as successful as the shows were he will squeeze us in!!

Wish he was coming to Dallas. I love him. Still listen to his first album.

ABout the tour dates; this is just the ’secondary’ type of market..He will be on tour for 3 years straight,so starting in September he’s gonna do arena only shows! You can stay up to date on him through his twitter ; http://www.twitter.com/_Maxwell_ since his official site isn’t showing much at the moment.

Wish he was gonna be a little closer to my locale! Darn it!! I would love to see him live!

Not sure if my first comment got though but about the questions of missing places; this is only the so-called ’secondary” market tour..Starting from September he’s gonna do arena only shows..So he will definitely hit up all the other (bigger) city’s

Kanyeezy- I agree. NOT his best work. I saw him in concert and he should have released one of his other two songs. They rhythms were typical Maxwell and much better for dancing (or whatever.)
Pretty wings is a song about a “whor-ish man.” No way do I want to see him in the bed with four women and I definitely am not about to have this tune running around in my head. He says on his website - the video was every mans “wet dream.” I expected more finesse from a thirtyfive year old brotha.
We compare him to Marvin Gaye. I’d love to see him do something new like “What’s Goin On” or a Curtis Mayfield Classic. “Ho” chasin’ men is played out. Let’s see how many positive comments would be made if Beyonce was in the bed with four men!

I read an article that said he is leaving his sexy image behind. He looks sexier now than he did with all that hair (which was scary to me). What, no ATL dates. Now he’s wrong for that!!

I think like any great artist there are going to be so many haters! I know Maxwell is getting a lot of backlash because of his video with him being in bed with four different women. To me its not like that…If you listen to the words of the song…It’s clearly about a relationship that didn’t work out. So to me, the video is just a portrayal of the different relationships that we were once a part that ultimately failed. I personally think it was a great concept and really captures what the song is about. In no way does it imply that Maxwell is a “man-whore.”

I believe that Maxwell is an AMAZING artist who doesn’t need any gimmicks to sell his music. His raw, natural talent is enough, and what today’s music really needs! I personally CANNOT WAIT until his album is released. I’m sure his supporters will show up and show out in great numbers to support him! I really do wish him all the best! He deserves it.

Max is not a man whore? WTF he says all the time that he’s wants to settle down and pretty wings is about the girl that ge felt got away…the different women in the video is simply used as symbolism. Max has respect for all women..pls dont take it for something its not. He’s a great artist and Im glad to see him back!

If you check out Max’s site, the stills of the vid He says shooting the vid was like a “wet dream.” It’ a pretty, dreamy video but ladies- if a man says one thing and shows you another-BELIEVE him! If this were a woman spooning, rubbing, and sticking her hand between some guys legs, folks would be callin’ for a “ho down!” He’s attractive, smooth and has a nice voice, but that video sends out a horrible message. It tells guys I can sleep with four women, say some smooth stuff like- Baby , “I can’t love you like you need to be”- all of this AFTER her gets your draws- then sets you free.
Same playa line just wrapped in a prettier package!
He could have said the same message with one woman-and please let’s not talk about -his love for all types of women. I don’t believe it because his popularity was there when he had the dark skin chicks in his vid. It’s just a not so subtle “playa” across all ethnicities!
Maxwell could have done a WHOLE lot better!

Also have you read the statements put out by his handlers (Sony and Billboard) and this video? They say the video is about four women whom Maxwell’s character had relationships with, were having trouble sleeping. So Maxwell’s character-a ghost- lays with them- and disapears as these women sleep more soundly. It’s at this point the women float into the air. Okay so what is a “ghost” who sleeps with women, rubs, spoons and puts his hands between their legs?!
As I said before if this were Beyonce with her hands between some dudes legs….

I respect your opinion and in no way do I intend to engage in a discussion about this video. You were simply expressing your feelings as was everyone else….HOWEVER I do really believe you are giving this video waaay too much credit…LoL…if women fall for that….well let’s just say there are more serious issues present…a video/song does not have that kind of power (unless you allow it to).

I saw the comment you spoke about, with him making the “wet dream” comment…I don’t think he meant it like that. I just took it as a joke abt him shooting a video with 4 women. Wat straight man wouldn’t love that? Lol

But anywho…Like I said, I respect your opinion….as I hope you respect mine. We are all entitled to them, and have the right to express them how we choose.

We all have to be Maxwell fan’s to even take the time to comment on this post…so let’s all try and focus on all the positives Maxwell embodies…and move on….
