Yea, um no. Sorry but this sounds like a Justin Timberlake throw away. Sounds like something Tim made for Justin. I like that Ginuwine is trying new things and trying to sound current, you can acheive both of those without losing your core sound: R&B. This is straight pop, and Ginuwine has never been pop. Secondly, the song isn’t authentic for him. He’s not old by any means, but this song has teeny bop written all over (Chris Brown could’ve done this song). And he looks off in the video clip. The choreography is just a no-no.
Last Chance is his lane, and he should ride that til the wheels fall off. If these artists keep at it, real R&B will be dead, for real for real.

Every wanna be producer, singer, and writer who HATES on this board day after day as a alter ego, but really works in a cubicle and hates their job was influenced and copied, and loved this treyo music. They changed the way R&B music, was sung, sounded and produced. The Bachelor record, Alliyah’s second record and Missy’s first record CHANGED MUSIC FOR EVER. If it wasn’t for these three, we’d still be suffering through Babyfaces sell the same song over and over again style. Timbo is king, Missy changed the way vocal cadences sounded and Ginuwine did his thing. Keri Hilson, Shawn Garret, and all of these people who are hot right now are CHILDREN of Tim and Missy.

I want to like this song sooooo bad, because I love all three of them as artists, but this song just isn’t really moving me on first listen. However, I didn’t like Last Chance on first listen either but it did grow on me, so maybe this one will.

i’m really trying to like this song. It still hasn’t caught me yet. Im so mad after watching a interview with Ginuwine the other day. He said that he and timbo did 3 tracks together and they where only able to afford one of em! wtf??! And thats with tim droping the price a bit!!! You would think that it would mean more to tim to have more tracks on his new lp than money. I mean, he is set for life just off of the stuff he’s done for Justin and Jay-z. I hope the other two leak so we can all hear them. I was really hoping to hear something that had the same chemistry as 100% or The Bachelor. I’m not saying i want to hear carbon copies of that stuff but I wanted to hear something that had that same type of vibe. Get Involved sounds forced to me. I’m still going to buy the lp. And just because someone gives their honest opinion doesn’t mean that they are hating. Well…. one tim track is more than we have heard on a G record in a long time so at least thats something.
