My goodness she doesn’t look fat, she looks like a normal woman who isn’t slim. She looks like any average woman walking down the street, I wonder how some of the people on this site look like, particularly those criticising her weight.
This woman will forever be sexy! She still looks better than a NUMBER of 43 year olds. Gaining weight is so much easier for us short people, but I like that she is embracing her 40′s and not trying to be like Madonna looking all gristle like.

SMH…ok Janet gains and loses weight over and over again, we have known this for years, but i’m more interested in some of the mindsets of some of the commentators here claiming that she’s just “thick” when clearly she is overweight. Many black people are comforted by family and friends who say they look “fine” when in fact they are overweight/obese, and they are willing to forgo their health over the desire to be “thick”, when they should be concerned about not getting diabetes and hypertension at a young age. If Janet and other overweight people were to eat healthily (most of the time) and exercise (most of the time), thus making healthy living a lifestyle, not a quick-fix diet/fitness bootcamp, then we would have a decrease in the number of black people dying early or being incapacitated from “preventable causes”. And for those who say that she looks like the average woman–she may but that doesn’t make it right or make her less likely to suffer ill health effects just because “everyone’s doing it”. 60% of Americans are also overweight or obese. Again just stating my observation on society’s culture of unhealthy living, Janet is very talented and has had a career spanning over two decades, so no one is doubting that.
