The World Health Organization said Friday that the number of confirmed H1N1 cases stood at 365 worldwide, including 141 in the United States and 156 in Mexico. Thirteen countries have confirmed cases, the organization said.

However, I overheard some students talking about someone they knew in Mexico, and they said that the media over-hyped this.They said the people who were really dying were kids, old people, and people with weak immune systems. I feel bad for the Mexican economy… Their main resource is tourism and they are losing it like crazy because of the “swine” flu. How do we know it started in Mexico in the first place. People come in and out of there ALL the time, for vacations weddings etc. What if it was brought over ….and in mexico their healthcare isnt as good as ours and im sure they dont get the influenza shots on the regular like we all do so they mght be more susceptible. ….im just sayin…..It all seems a bit sensationalized to me. I understand you but what you need to realise is that these people are making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. Over 30,000 people die in the US alone from the common cold/flu and they say only one “person” has died from it in the US. But get this, they failed to mention that it was a baby that didn’t even reach 1 years old.
So basically, it is an issue that should be taken seriously but let people live their life. It is not necesarry to be dodging air, and walking with a bucket and soap. You have more chances of catching the common flu than this.
This IS a manmade virus. The hope from the government is that we will become fearful ENOUGH so that masses of us will gladly accept the flu vaccine which they’re “developing” (*hint: has been waiting in warehouses for quite some time*).
I say wear your masks (if you can still find them), wash your hands and don’t go out & vaccinate yourself or your kids. The vaccinations that are created are usually developed from earlier strains-so they wouldn’t be that affective anyway, & could also cause the very disease it’s trying to cure.
I hope you all take care of yourselves, pray, and don’t ONLY listen to what mainstream media has to say on this issue or any others. Start by going on youtube and doing a search on Alex Jones. That will give another perspective on this issue.

Q: What can I do to prevent myself from catching swine flu?
