♫ THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW ♫

♫ Ciara - When I (full) - listen
“When I” is the iTunes bonus track for Ciara’s Fantasy Ride album, which drops May 5th! I’m actually not exactly sure why they decided to leave this track off the actual physical copy of the album, considering that it’s just as up to par with the other material that’s included on the album. It stays in the same pop/dance lane that Ciara’s material reflects on the album. It is actual more fresh than some of that older material that she has on the album.
♫ Dj Class ft. Kanye West & Estelle - I’m The Shit (full) - listen
DJ Class teamed up with Kanye for the club banger, “I’m the Shit” sometime last year. And if you’ve been to a club since then, you’ve probably heard this track during the Baltimore club mix set. But Estelle thought the song was so hot she had to jump on it. She sent this track to Concrete Loop via her Twitter page.
♫ Clipse feat. Kanye West & Bun B. - Kinda Like A Big Deal (Remix) (full) - listen
Here’s a version of The Clipse’s new single, “Kinda Like A Big Deal,” featuring Kanye West and Bun B., which is serving as a “remix” or a “part 2?” Ain’t nothing wrong with this track to me. I’ve loved The Clipse since Lord Willin’, Kanye is always dope and Bun B. offers up some of the best delivery to me. “Kinda Like A Big Deal” is the lead single from The Clipse’s upcoming third album, Till the Casket Drops.
♫ Sean Kingston - I Could Picture Us (full) - listen
I laughed a little bit when the song came on and I heard Sean Kingston with Michael Jackson’s “Annie, are you okay?” from “Smooth Criminal.” Admittedly, I have never been a huge fan of Mr. Kingston, but I’m not gonna knock his hustle. Not only that, but Akon always comes with a solid hook and really infectious melodies, so I can see myself getting caught up by this song if played enough. Sean’s sophomore album, “Tomorrow” will be in stores in August.

The Ciara song is good, but it is repetitive. It makes it a mediocre album track, but a great bonus track. But why are yall leaking her whole album? Folks wanna complain that her album is full of year old songs yet they the main ones leaking it to the mainstream consumer.

can someone from baltimore explain why you consider your music to be so different? sounds like a regular dance track to me. am i missing something?
anyway it’s a good track to dance to but i couldn’t listen to it aside from that. too repetitive
cici’s song sounds better than most of her cd material and she put it on as a bonus lol

@VEE. Good question and I’m sure other ppl would like to know as well, so allow this Baltimore native to explain why our music is, in fact, “different.”
• The Baltimore club beat: fast, bass knocking you off your feet.
• The lyrics: very simplistic, storytelling–but something that you can accompany with some type of movement or dance. You said it best when you said that our songs are also “repetitive.” Baltimore club music is repetitive on purpose because of the type of dancing that you do to the music.
• The dances: If you’ve never seen a person FROM BALTIMORE dance to Baltimore club music than this may be difficult to imagine. So, think of a cook out or wedding when everyone is dancing to the Electric Slide in unison—but then when you look closely each individual has their own swag to it. That’s the essence of Baltimore Club music/dances. You got that good ole beat, the basic lyrics and dance moves for days—but everybody puts their own swag to it.
Come to Bmore VEE, and check it out. You have to see it in order to truly understand why we so hype about it.
~With that BMORE Love

Poor Ciara can’t sing. I really want to like her, but there’s nothing to offer. Did anybody see her on Regis & Kelly this mo’nin? That performance was flat and pathetic.

Ciara’s song is nice banger. Dj Class feat. K. West & Estelle - nice banger. Clipse feat. K. West & Bun B. - excellent banger. I really like the Clipse, they’re definitely underrated. Couldn’t hear the Sean Kingston track because it won’t play at all.

Didn’[t bother to listen. The only way she is going to get another hit is to release the track with Kanye. Poor thang can’t get a hit on her own anymore. Well, that is what happens when you can’t actually sing.
Chrisette Michele tomorrow in stores. Now that is someone, I don’t mind giving my $9.99 to. Good night fools!
