Queen Latifah – Chainzzz (full) – listen
Check out this new track from Queen Latifah! I wasn’t expecting this from her, considering that her last two albums have been jazz albums. The new track, “Chainzzz” is taking a more pop direction, which I’m surprised by. I’m sure some fans were looking to hear Queen rapping again, but she’s still singing on “Chainzzz.” The track is the lead single from her forthcoming seventh studio album, Persona, due out July 7th. I’m interested to see what the rest of this material sounds like.
Jennifer Lopez – What Is Love (full) – listen
J. Lo was supposed to come out with a Greatest Hits album, and if I remember correctly, this track, “What Is Love,” which was originally tagged as being produced by Darkchild, was originally recorded and written by Wynter Gordon? In any event, I really liked the track when I heard the Wynter Gordon version, and Jennifer Lopez doesn’t sound half bad on the D’Mile-produced track either. Hopefully, this is the lead single from her Greatest Hits album.
Melanie Fiona – Sad Songs (full) – listen
Honestly, with all these Melanie Fiona tracks leaking lately, I have to admit that I’m slightly disappointed in the material that I’ve heard. The first single, “Give It To Me Right,” had me really excited about her project, The Bridge, but I’ve been underwhelmed with these new leaks (“Island Boy” and “Sad Songs”). Hopefully these are just from sessions, and not tracks that will be on the final cut of the album. “Sad Songs” gets pretty repetitive and boring.
Johnta Austin feat. Ludacris – Can’t Live Without You (full) – listen
Singer/songwriter Johnta Austin is still on the move, pumping out tracks. “Can’t Live Without You” is the newest of material to leak from the crew that consists of CL friend and supporter Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Johnta and Adonis. I always like Johnta’s material, I love the rawness and intensity in his voice. I actually am digging the production on this song as well.

I miss the U-N-I-T-Y Latifah cuz I wasnt feeling this from her nor was the JLo track really good. I havent heard Melanie til now and I really vibe with that song. Johnta track was pretty good.
Island boy & Sad Songs were exclusive releases to the UK with her other song Somebody Come Get Me for an EP to preface the album. You should listen to her myspace to hear more of her music from her album “The Bridge”.

Yes tha Queen is back!! Female rappers are fallen off, I hope I hear more of the rap than the pop ish.
Firstly, I believe that Melanie Fiona song is hot!!! But I would strongly encourage those who have not heard any of her material to look her up on youtube or her myspace account, and check out her other material in addition to live performances (my favorites: her cover of Kanye West’s “Heartless”, her performance of “Give It to Me Right” on the staircase with two other artists) – which in my opinion, are better than the recorded songs. But moreover, her upcoming album is a collection of different music genres – ranging from rock, hip-hop, reggae, etc. So please do not be led astray by one song (despite the fact that “Sad Songs” is definitely one of my favorite songs out right now), because it is a part of collective project, which I believe in total, will probably one the best albums of the year.
The JLo song is hot. Wynter is an amazing writer. I liked Wynter’s version better tho

She sings completely falseto out of her throat and at this point they synthisized her voice and it sounds weird, (hint to record company, sign a real singer and you can save the money on trying to make someone sound like they can sing) Just a thought. Melonie song sounds good to me though.

Lol @ #19. Nobody takes J.Low seriously in the music industry. Everything about her is a gimmick, and she haven’t got an ounce of musical talent. She was only brought up, to compete with Mariah. That is the only reason why Tommy M. signed her. And an icon??? People really need to look up the word, because when it comes down to being an icon, Low doesn’t even fit the bill.

Okay so Jlo may not have the best singing voice but she has gotten better. Lets face it she hustled her way to the top from being a back up dancer for Janet Jackson to making history as being the first Leading Actress in a film in 30 years since Rita Hayworth left the film industry in the 70s, and she also made History by being the first Hispanic atress to get amilli for a film in 1997, since then she has become the highest paid latina actress in Hollywood history along with one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. Mariah is Latina(Venezuelan Father) & White(Mother) and cant speak spanish to save her life and coodnt record a spanish album to save her life. another Point Mariah cant break in the Film industry because she would be paid chump change to Jlos $12-17million dollar per film salary, clothing line lopez is a woman with swagga n finesse u kno it and i do 2 and u kno damn well Mariah be lookin like trsh . It aint like u lookin in magazine and see mariah in best dressed list.all the more reason lopez is marketable and has a succesful clothing and is in 8 perfumes deep to mariahs 2 fragrances!

Queen Latifah-OMG what is she doing? This song is not for her. It’s not a bad song, it just does not fit her.
Jennifer Lopez-This is a nice track that reminds me of the summer. It just has that feel good vibe to it. LOL@the debate about J Lo. Yeah she may be over rated, but you can’t deny the fact that she seized opportunities to make her self into brand and a fortune within just a few years. That’s called being a smart businesswoman.
Melanie-This song is pretty good to me. I’m really becoming a more and more of a fan of Melanie. Her sound is very refreshing, versatile, and it stands like out like my other favorite artists Kelis and Amerie.
