I like Solange. I think she is different because she’s human, not because she is “trying to be different”. I think we have a problem letting her be herself. That said, if I had a choice of being Solange or Beyonce – I’d choose Solange. I’ve been saying this for ages! Solange is technically a much better vocalist (with a solid 3 octave range) than her sister yet people are so blinded by Beyonce that they refuse to realise that her sister is equally and maybe even more talented than, her B.
I’m not a stan of any artist period, but props where props are due- Solange can really sing and she’s doing something different and exciting with her music, I wish her well.

SOL-ANGEL she ROCKS without a doubt. She is definitely talented and totally underated! Everyone, tipically speaking, wants to compare her to Beyonce. Yes they’re sisters, but they have 2 different looks, personalities, and styles. Solange has brought back a unique style of singing that the R&B/POP/HIP-HOP game has lost for a long time. She is not a wannabe Star who can’t sing a lick that uses her looks to get by. She has come into her own and I think her success in the music game will have a long run! Keep doing what you do Boo! LOVES YOU SOLANGE!!!!

I like Solange, I just do not like whatever she has done plastic surgery. Her nose was fine, but her profile and initial features have been stripped away. I am not sure what is going on…At first I did not believe it was her, because she has clearly done something with her nose.

I am in no way getting away from the fact that the young lady definately has her own style, voice and is trying to do her own thing. I actually admired Solange for taking her son, raising in Idaho of all places (I lived there and it is a hell hole) when she was married and focused on being a typical normal mother/wife. There are a lot of redeeeming qualities I like about Solange personally and as an artist, more than I can actually say for her sister…Solange has character and she can hold her own with out a massive media team, big giant video budgets and being over exposed like her sister…she is Solange.

However, I cannot regress and get over the fact that too many Black women are making their features more caucinoid and taking the plastic surgery too far……Lil Kim, Vivica Fox, Kelly Rowland even Beyonce and now Solange. I honestly liked her the way she was….I am no way again making judgement on Solange, but simply stating a point that as Black women, we have to stop doing this to ourselves. There are too many people out there that are not Black, that are trying to get the features and physical aspects we have naturally.

I wish Solange well with her efforts and luck on opening for Michael Jackson in Europe. This would definately be a big career boost for her to revive her last album and her future.
