18 year-old singer Jojo recently posted her remix to Drake’s “Houstatantavegas” song on her youtube this week. According to her this was one of her favorite songs off of his “So Far Gone” mixtape, so she wanted to put her spin on it.
Earlier this month Jojo told fans via her myspace page that she will be attending Northeastern University and will continue to focus on her music career. She is currently waiting for her record label Blackground Records to finalize a new deal so she can release her new album.

I love JoJo. I have both of her CD’s as well and she can really sing. SHe;s one of the few young, positive recording artist that I like. She did a great job with her own remix of Drake’s song. Go JoJo. I’m still waiting on album number 3. She has a Ggreat attitude about getting that college education.
I am so saddened that she is not recognized by record labels and signed blah blah blah
but it’s not ONLY the record labels people, it’s the publishing, promotion, A&Rs and all them that f* true artists (like JoJo) over, and of course, the “FANS” who say, “oh, she has a good voice, I’ll buy her album” and when the girl shit comes out, it gets slept on…we gotta move people, we have that power once the artist is signed and the artist can keep the power by shoppin’ around…….IMO

JoJo is an awesome singer. She is grossly under rated! She is more talented than most of the R&B singers on the tube right now. Why won’t her record label promote her to her full potential? We could really use her musical talent right now!! An album in 2010, PLEASE!
