18 year-old singer Jojo recently posted her remix to Drake’s “Houstatantavegas” song on her youtube this week. According to her this was one of her favorite songs off of his “So Far Gone” mixtape, so she wanted to put her spin on it.
Earlier this month Jojo told fans via her myspace page that she will be attending Northeastern University and will continue to focus on her music career. She is currently waiting for her record label Blackground Records to finalize a new deal so she can release her new album.

yeah i think it’s best that she gets her education everyone needs an education to fall back on. after she gets her degree she should try to come back out. i love her voice but since she came out so young, she couldn’t appeal to the 18 and older crowd as much

Very underrated artist SMH. I saw her ‘rant’ on YouTube and hollered (about the hold up of a distribution deal). Looks like it ain’t happening and I expect this to be shelved. She is like what the only person on Blackground (didn’t Toni, Tank leave)?

JOJO is the TRUTH! I would love to hear JoJo/Drake duets in the future. I hope her new deal and album include more R&B/Hip Hop tracks as singles. She’s had some hot tracks on her albums before but they release the most pop-sounding songs as singles instead of letting her crossover. A crossover would broaden her audience and bring more record/tour ticket sales!
Although I’m not a fan of drake and am not crazy on the song the vocals are nice, soft but not sickly sweet.
Jojo and Stacie Orrico are two talented girls who are both really slept on and I want both to release albums. Its sad that there is talent like theirs out there but the industry doesn’t care eventhough these artists are really marketable.

Jojos defiantely been underated i think her third album will show her growth cause she has an amazing voice. Hopefully blackground records will finalize the distribution deal soon and her album can drop 4th quarter this year. They need to really promote her this time around cause i know she got some major hits that are ready to be heard.

JoJo is not tryna sound black she is singing with the voice that God gave her. Her voice is soulful aint nothing wrong with that. She did a really good job with this song, i luv her can’t wait til her cd debuts.

Yes knoeledge is power. I am 20. I want to have the best of both worlds.. I work a part time job & study through Open University. I am in my second year of BA Marketing… In this economy – if you got a job stick to it. I have seen plenty of friends who have graduated from Cambridge university. With computer science degrees,law degrees etc. They actually cannot get on to salary of £30.000 annually. I use to work for a sales company. My boss had a masters in marketing.The guy couldnt even get a salary of £30.000 or over with his masters. Yes education is very imporant. But so is surviving. You cannot expect a normal person to go uni full and live off lones. But you dont always have to follow like a flock of sheep.

I think Jojo is soooo underrated. She has one on the most versatile, strong, pleasant voices in her age group right now. I think only Jordin Sparks could compete with this girl’s vocal. I can’t think of any1 else at the moment…
