Just as i predicted….This was perfect comeback for Chris Brown. His drama was quickly overshadowed once MJ died. Especially when everyone knows that the closes person who can move like MJ is Chris Brown.*smh* Polo saying in the background of the song ‘what-up Chris?’ makes me cringe… Mr. King of White Girls would say that, lol… Message=Its okay that you beat that black chick.*smh*

BTW, GOOD song! I am amazed how GOOD it is since it was made less than 24 hours! AMAZING! IT is definitely quality!

I’m still in denial, Michael has been apart of my life since i was born! I’ve never cried for a celeb before, but Michael isn’t just a celeb; he is far more than that, far more.

This song is beautiful and it came from a beautiful place with loving intentions. It is absolutely sick and disgusting to hear that some people think Chris is using the death of his IDOL/INSPIRATION to get into people’s good graces, SMH. I think that people who hate Chris are the only ones thinking that this is why he would do this. Even other people who hate Chris think differently, what does that say about you? If that whole incident hadn’t have happened I guarantee he’d still be on a MJ tribute track.

Everyone knows how much Chris loved MJ; you can see his influence in some of Chris’ videos:
- Yo (Excuse Me Miss) = The Way You Make Me Feel (following a girl up and down the street trying to holla at her)
- Gimme That = Smooth Criminal (1920’s theme, with the suits and dancing)
- Wall to Wall = Thriller (little introduction where he transforms into a monster/vampire, suppose to be scary, dance breakdown, turns out to be a dream)

If Chris is asked to be apart of the tribute, LET HIM DO IT! He is not trying to be the next Michael, he will NEVER be the next Michael, I don’t even think he comes close!! But that is not what a tribute is. Chris is very talented and MJ saw that for himself, please drop the hate. What other opportunity will he have to pay respect and tribute in loving memory of his idol. Stop making this about Chris and look at it for what it really is; a chance to express how much MJ meant to them and to everyone else.

Michael Jackson has inspired and touched the lives of practically everyone on this planet. Let people express their gratitude towards him the best way they can. Drop the hate and lets try to heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race!!

I love you Michael Joseph Jackson, so so much. May his soul rest in perfect peace. He’s with God now, on the other side. Be blessed Michael <3

I really like this song was great. I felt that it was appropriate for artists to create this song. But I do feel as though Diddy talking was not needed. Not trying to take away attention from the main purpose which is Michael’s tribute, but Diddy is always trying talk about… nothing. He always has to talk on someones songs. I can’t stand him.

But my heart hurts so badly because of MJ’s passing. I wish the media would respect his family’s privacy and leave them alone. The media is to blame for how bad his reputation was ruined. I know the constant negativity that came from them contributed to the downward spiral of Michael. Imagine if everyday people were saying things about you? That you were the rebuttal of people’s jokes. I don’t think anyone commenting could handle that. The media was so caught up in Michael’s personal life that they completely forgot what he stood for as a person and entertainer. He wasn’t a child molester or the “guy that lost his black card.” He was the greatest entertainer EVER, and every knuckle head out there today owes him for paving the way for him. You look at all of these kids like Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher.. all wanting to be someone they could NEVER amount to.

The world lost such a great talent. I don’t think people will ever heal from this. People grew up with Michael! They are his childhood! RIP Michael.

People who think CB is using this opportunity as a comeback WANT to believe and WISH that CB was using this as an opportunity for a comeback because they WANT another reason to hate him. Its real sad and quite pathetic too. The measure which you use to judge others, the same measure will be used to judge you. Look at the man in the mirror people…you are soo sad. Have you noticed that you guys are a minority now. Everyone is past that, move on already!!

God Bless Michael Jackson!!! Never will he be forgotten, NEVER!

Liked the song…the only thing -well the biggest thing- that messed it up is the use of the word NIGGER. Why? Just why? Other than that, I think it’s great that they could do something like this in such a short period of time. Love you Mike! (Oh yeah, I didn’t hear Usher either)

P.S. I reeeaaallly hope Chris Brown is part of the BET Awards. Other than Usher and Justin, who else can give justice to an MJ performance?

That Lady From H-Town

Saturday, June 27, 2009 /

To start I did like the song, at first I thought it was gonna be corny because of the array of different artists; but in the end it was nice. Now for those that have something negative to say about Chris Brown being on this song are wrong. That young man emulated MJ in all his work. If anyone should being doing a tribute to Michael Jackson it should be Usher, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo; all three of these artists have all stated how Michael influenced their career. To add more fuel to the fire Ciara as well because she was influenced by Janet for them to put together a montage of his songs and do what they do best would be fire. Chris and Ciara doin scream (mike and janet), Ne-Yo to do Billie Jean, Usher The way you make me feel, Chris Smooth Criminal and all of them to do Thriller.

Michael was about dance and energy, he had his reflecting moments but for those 80’s babies that grew up to his work (myself) seen the pure energy he gave his fans. Now maybe for the slower cuts yes then let Mariah scream her way through them, but other than that he was about dance, pop and ENERGY.

LASTLY to #13 and #16 bet you wasn’t hate’n Chris Brown before this incident and you were bump’n his cd’s. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion but this young man was and is a TRUE fan and he’s paying his respects to his IDOL. #20 AND #23 THANK YOU for realizing the real reason for this song.

H-TOWN ITS GET’N HOT!!

No one can quite capitalize on a death more gracefully that Sean P. Diddy Combs. I respect the gesture but I truly question the motives of the key organizer Diddy Bopper. The only reputable artist he has on the single is Usher and maybe the Game.

These are my opinions and they are based on past behaviors of Mr. Combs also known as the devil!!!

Mike, that’s what I call him. In my family he was a distant relative to us. He is the world’s grleatest and he will be missed. My mother is sad as if she lost a child of her own but we know that he’s in a better place. Even though I was born is 84′, I always knew in my heart that I would marry Mike. He is a legend and will never be forgotten. His family and friends are in my prayers and I ask God to keep them safe from all the drama that is to come. God bless them.

Mike you are my number one, I love you!

SORRY this is nothing but exploitation

Chris Brown PLEASE you are not even Jermaine Jackson at this point and you will NEVER be Michael. Chris is just trying to get a new image but sorry NO.

There are some people a little too quick to forgive this FELON.
Michael came from a pure place unlike Chris Brown.

And the GAME and Diddy? LMAO

People who knew Michael and his music are not about this type of thing.
We have Michael’s music to remember him best that speaks for Michael not JUNK like this. Diddy is nothing but a exploiter just like BROWN.

This is special to see many who he’s influenced drop everything to pay homage to the man that contributed greatly to their love for music. I like Chris on the song, everyone knows how big of a MJ fan Chris was and who would pass up the opportunity to do something great in his honor. In actuality, Chris doesn’t need something like to this revive his career because believe it or not, he still has hundreds of thousands adoring fans that will follow his every move. So can we stop the speculation and let this act of humility carry on the spirit of the world’s greatest entertainer. Chris did what he was supposed to do, he gave the man his flowers while he was with us AND is honoring him in his departure. Take it for what it is and stop trying to taint a humble gesture.

People who call this “song” great only expose the fact that 1. They don’t know a thing about REAL music and 2. They know even less about Michael Jackson.

Michael did not have an agenda when he made music. His talent spoke for him and that transcended all types of barriers that these 3 idiots could not begin to penetrate.

This song is less about Michael and more about narcissist who need to ride on Michel’s coat tails and attempt to be linked to his legacy.
Sorry that will NEVER happen.

Michael was a musical genius. Chris “the FELON” Brown is just not worthy to even speak Michael’s name. Chris is not even half the dancer Michael was. Imitation is not talent sorry. And Chris will never be the type of STAR that Michael is and that was LONG before he became a known FELON.
Michael was better than Elvis Chris is not even better than Usher that says it all FOLKS.

I am still in shock… I guess I never thought about Michael Jackson dying but we all will go one day. I’m conforted in knowing that his pain and sorrow is over….

I thought the song was nice, definately could have been done without the N*word but everyone knows this may be the first tribute song, but will not be the last. But its good for a song made so quickly. Im just hoping like one of the other people said, that BET puts together a great tribute to this LEGEND. Im sure it’s gonna be hard to pull off in such short notice, but Michael Jackson is more than worth the effort it will take them!

Michael, we love and miss you greatly!!!

@ 177– stfu u just sound stupid as hell.. Who are YOU to say who can’t be in a Tribute song. You Laugh Your Ass Off becuz Diddy & The Game are in it? If they feel something in them to do a song about someone they love so BE it!! Your Trash.. And Hellooo did u watch the MTV awards in 07, or the World Music Awards in 06.. BOTH times CHRIS paid homage to MJ.. And also Michael Jackson SAID out of his OWN MOUTH that he loved Chris Brown and was very Happy and proud that he made such a great influence in his life. He went on to say that Chris Brown is also a influence to him, and also Thanked Chris Brown for making what he crafted live on. SOOOOO what u gotta say about that?!?! dumb bitch..

Saturday, June 27, 2009 /

people on here really do need to humble themselves. Why can’t this song just be an honest effort by these men to pay tribute? Chris Brown was a genuine MJ fan, and that was evident in every performance he gave. Chris Brown is one of the best dancers of our time and tried to pay homage to Mike even when he was living, unlike some people who all of a sudden want to look past MJ’s troubles and honor him in his death. I enjoy this song because it expresses how they truly feel.

And the younger generation (ie the ones on this song) are the ones who are truly capable of giving MJ the tribute he deserves because MJ always loved young people. If michael jackson could hear this im sure he would be in tears, just like i am writing this.

Michael Jacksons influence on our world was amazing. He changed music, fashion, and philantropy forever and he was so young. And people on here want to trash talk his celebrity fans then want to say but RIP MIKE. All of the haters on here are the ones not being genuine, this is not the time nor place to hate on someone or their fans.

“Some people are entertainers and some people are great entertainers. Some people are followers and some people make the paths and are pioneers.” - Michael Jackson

Rest in Peace Michael Jackson, your legacy lives on through your family and fans.

I’m mad some of you are making this a Chris Brown thing. Michael has influenced him just like any other artist out today. If he wants to be on a song to pay his respects then he can do that. Why does it have to be about him “saving” his career? Have some respect. We’ve all heard him talk about and imitate MJ over the years. Chris made a mistake just like any one of us as humans do. He’s been punished, case closed. Why are you dwelling on it? Let the boy live. I love the song. Michael will forever be remembered. RIP to the undisputed King of Pop. We love and miss you MJ!

Michael was not just the guy - whom brought forward the ”MOONWALK” but making songs like

”Earth”
”You are not alone”
Black or White
Heal
i will be there

He helped many. He had songs that had a meaning to them. He didnt make songs that had no substance behind them.

Thats why their will forever and always only be one MJ. No one will be better than him not black. It doesnt matter. But that N word wasnt necessary. They can never be on his level. He was in his own league. I am still in disbelief.

I ask myself ? why but you can’t and should never question god.

It was michaels time. The people that had negativegossip to say about him are right now appreciating him.Very unfortunate that he had to die for them to appreciate him. He is ”Better on the side”. Sad so soon though. The artists that met him and collaborated with him are very lucky.

197.

PLEASE!

Saturday, June 27, 2009 /

I love that everyone mentions “how quickly” this garbage song was made. And you know what?? You can tell by the rather poor quality.

BET is not giving the definitive Michael Jackson tribute that will be done by more reputable institutions.
And Chris Brown is not heir to the Jackson Legacy you people need to stop being so funny!

Chris is so not an important artist in any stretch that is like saying Ciara is like Diana Ross that is how foolish you people sound. CB never sold anything close to the numbers Michael has sold and people don’t even know Chris Brown in many parts of this nation. Chris is in the league of BOW WOW, Soulja Boy, Omarion and other marginal artist buffoon artists. And then add his new notoriety. Sorry This is the Obama generation and people are far more educated on issues like domestic abuse and real talent and FELONS like Chris and TI are not the same type of entertainers that people like Michael Jackson.
Sorry. Chris Brown is very “of the moment” to a small R&B audience (the same audience that thinks Birthday Sex is a “GREAT” song) and his moment has long past. And this is about MICHAEL JACKSON a LEGEND not about little Chris Breezy “the FELON” Brown the woman beater.
BET celebrates all the wrong things and this is just another example of exploitation for ratings.

198.

Its not about Chris. For those that are dwelling on Chris and claiming that this is his attempt for a comeback, you sure are paying him a lot of “undeserved attention” don’tcha think? Everyone knows that Chris was a devout MJ fan, and Chris has stated publicly that he wouldn’t be who he is or do what he does if it weren’t for Michael. He simply sang a tribute song. If you don’t like it, MOVE ON TO THE NEXT TRACK. But please, no bashing…you’re doing a horrible job of preserving Michael’s memory. This is an ignorant waste of time and energy. Get over yourself, or better yet make your own tribute record and blow Chris out the water. Frankly, if you’re not doing anything better shut it down….just stop talking.

I like this song. But as i am and will always be a chris fan. Love his chorus. Game that was disrespectful to say the N word.

this the type of song were the anges cry
look up in the sky
why you had to go
i know it better on the other side
chosen from the star
never gonna let you go

It had meaning. This is about michael tribute. Not chris personal issue. Like michael had his fair share of negative media press. (I’m not going to c those people, who tried to ruin MJ career). But only god can judge chris. Leave him be Let it go. He knows who he was inspired by.He isnt using this as a opprturnity. At his concert he always payed homage to him. Dancing etc. His 18 birthday was inspired by ”Offf The Wall”.I’m from London. In every city. People do know him. Birmingham.London.Liverpool,Manchester,Nottingham etc. This is about michael. Leave chris alone. He has sais himself who inspired him Unlike the people who chose not to admit it.

I dont want to say chris was nearer to MJ talent. But i can see bits of him. Like chris said ”His the great, no one will ever better”. He knows who he was inspired by.I hope he does a tribute at BET AWARDS. Chris is the one that coild get near to it.

Mj wasnt just a legend, but more than that. It wasnt just his music. He helped out people. He paved the way.He had a large fan base regardless of their age, ethnicity and background.Been listening to his music all day yesterday and today. He was human. But did exceptional things. I’m a singer/songwriter aswell. Im definately on it. Writing a tribute for MJ. Everyone loved him. Rest in peace MJ. His in a better place.

its sad that all ppl can say is why is chris brown on this track…just b/c he did some bad things doesnt make him a bad person for life

but i do agree the N word was unnecessary

other than that this is a good tribute from the younger generation of artists

RIP Michael Jackson, you were truly a BEAUTIFUL SOUL of a person, caring, kind, & so often MISUNDERSTOOD. The LIGHT in this TRAGIC situation is that your SOUL is finally FREE from this CRUEL, CRUEL, SOCIETY & COLD, COLD WORLD.

May your SOUL REST in ETERNAL PEACE.

@204

I know that’s right. I’m not a Rihanna fan either but Chris was wrong and it makes me even madder that people don’t believe he deserves punishment. Like women are worth nothing and they need to be beat. That’s the message everyone is putting out.

And IDC if anyone gets mad that I am discussing this on this post. Oh well he in the song and we can talk about whomever we want and our opinions on this songs. After listening to this song for the 3rd time it really does suck! It could be better. The N word makes me angry every time I listen to this it. The Game is ignorant for that. “Mike was my ni99a”. This boy needs his a$$ whipped. I was always disgusted with Diddy talkin plz STFU. And I never did hear Usher. SMH at this whole song.

Missing U by Diana Ross. Dizzy thank you for bringing up a TRUE Tribute Song. People don’t get it. I’m 25 and I know quality Music. This os pure TRASH. The Game is offensive. Diddy a vulture. Chris Brown…Desperate. Jackson is beyond Garbage like this.
Quincy will hopefull make a real song more reflective of Michael’s talent and stature.
This is NOT it!

and stop talkin about Chris, all that shit is unneccessary. Regardless of the nonsense, everyone knows that boy idolized Michael.

We can talk about Chris Brown for the simple reason that the “tribute” song is the subject of the post and we can give our opinions of the song just like anyone else. Missing U by Diana Ross that is quality. That is an excellent song written from a personal perspective on a musical great Marvin Gaye. Michael Jackson would not be supportive of Chris Brown or anyone beating women (fan or no fan). Michael comes from a home where his own father abused him and his mother and look at the damage it caused him and the entire Jackson family. I’m looking at the wallpaper of this cite and it’s shocking what Michael did to himself because of that pain. And for anyone to just overlook that and include Brown is irresponsible. Diddy is really one of the most opportunistic, disgusting people in the music business. He is no Quincy Jones or Berry Gordy. And the Game using the N-Word will only make this song more marginal than it already is. Michael was an artist in every sense and it’s amazing he was this creative with all of this personal pain in his life. Michael was not perfect but when you weigh his musical contributions alone he stands taller than some of the biggest most talented people in the industry. And no artist has sold more than Michael or made a more impact with a single record and I’m talking about the Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, the GREATS. Not buffoons like Chris Brown, Diddy and “The Game.”
This song is pure TRASH pure and simple.

I’m glad they did this. I hope there is more to come. Something upbeat that we can dance to and celebrate his legacy of music. I think Michael would appreciate a more uptempto song.

get off of chris, some of people act like you never made a mistake in your life, these are these same people who be getting abortions, which is basically killing your baby, watching pornos, lying, stealing, cheating on their mates and so forth, everyone on this panel sins, so if you no longer like Chris, then include yourself in the pot also
God said , Forgive those who sin, so that your sins will be forgiven” and believe me you will make a mistake before your life is over

I love the Song. I love that Chris Brown was on it. You know the killing part about all of this, most of the people relying their comments,( escpecially Chris Brown) were the same ones dogging Michael Jackson when he was alive. It’s side that people have no forgivness in their hearts unless they are the ones that need forgiveness. Move on people, Rhianna was hitting Chris Brown 1st ( Which is beside the point). If you like the song fine, stop bringing up Chris Brown’s past trangressions unless you are willing to be transparent & bring up yours…..Now that is realism 4 U!!!

Chris should not be on this song. He needs to prove he is sorry for what he did. To be forgiven he has to show he is sorry. Chris has NOT done that at all. And until he does that he will not be forgiven. Pretending like he is innocent until he had no choice but to confess to avoid jail and the DETAILS coming out. @PLEASE! You speak the truth. We have people talking about “abortion” anything to excuse Chris. SAD! Jackson rest in pace. These Vultures can’t touch you.

Dear Michael,

I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I do remember three songs that you inspired me by which are “Bad”, “Smooth Criminal” and “Butterflies”. You definitely inspired my dancing, my grind within the industry, and I can not begin to express my gratitude towards who you are as a person. You are definitely transcended throughout the world and beyond, and now I hope you rest graciously in the glorious kingdom of heaven. We as musicians love you so much, We will miss you. Rest In Love.

Who died & made “people” the judge of anyones life?? It doesn’t matter what” Kid Fresh” says or anyone else. It’s not for you to decide. There are a lot of immature grown folks …. there is no one sin bigger than the other & I do remember he said he was sorry, besides the main people who are commenting on Chris are the main ones who were dissing Mike Jackson & agreed with Katt Williams comments when he was alive & now that he is dead everyone is all gongho? Grow up!
