For a real tribute, we’re going to need
Old School: Whitney and Mariah belting it out (with cracks and all), aretha, rachelle Ferrell, Boys II Men, Stevie Wonder, and Patti shutting it down for everyone.
New School: Monica, Beyonce, Usher, and J-Hud (even in all of her shouting glory)

Nice song…we should not focus on the crazy stunts by anyone and thank them for the solace they brought to us (my opinion)…interesting how he was the butt of our many judgments and jokes but we now see not to take inspiration for granted…
despite his troubles and trials…he brought us contentment with entertainment…escapism…that did not stop him from being human…as we see he had his trials to deal with as well….i wish we can use that to understand the world and its people..for your best friend, your worst enemy and even with the chris brown thing…
we all know that none of this mess is good…ive studied the ideas of womanism so am very anti female abuse …nonetheless I know that people have their own deamons…hell i know i have my own…and we definately cannot pardon their iniquities …however I fell it is important for us to realize that own “icons and entertainers also have issues and deamons which is more so forced when they are under a constant watch and limelight….the difference between us and them is that we dont get caught ;-)… we are all misunderstood beings socialized in an unbalanced and jacked up society..with that said..lets honor MJ by ALSO not judging anyone including ppl like chris borwn because it could be argued that the stress from the torment, ridicule and being judged even for what our skin color “represents” to some, in even the slightest way contributed to MJ’s early, unexpected and unwanted demise….WITH THAT SAID….REST IN PEACE MICHAEL JACKSON……….

I really like this song! That was really quick but what can you say we all love MJ and its just that easy for artist to write about him. They didnt need a week all they needed was a couple of hours thats how inspirational he is! I do wish that we could here more singing from the other artist in the song. but I’m glad that artist are coming together for MJ.
R.I.P michael Jackson.

This was pretty good…I heard it on the radio, but for a real hardcore tribute they need to bring out the veterans…Get Quincy Jones to produce it and get a bunch of hardcore people like he did for “Heal the World”…Whitney, MAriah, Stevie, Dionne Warwick, etc. This was a nice try though on such short notice but they need the veterans for this man.

i have to say that some people are just disgusting. @joel, this is NOT about chris and don’t act like you know what his intentions are. is it too far-fetched to believe that he genuinely wanted to pay tribute to such an amazing performer? michael has touched sooo many people and if they want to pay tribute to him, i can only welcome it. it’s a beautiful thing to watch people showing him the respect and admiration that he always deserved
r.i.p. michael. no one could ever do what you did

NO ONE out is more Michael Jackson-esque that Chris Brown. I understand the events surrounding Chris Brown as of late but : A) Seeing that his case is at the end and B) the influence/affect that MJ has had on him I feel that he is the best person to pay a tribute from the MUSIC/ENTERTAINMENT perspective.
I think everyone at the BET Awards this weekend should perform a MJ song, or routine from one of his videos b/c EVERY performer on the face of this earth owes credit to Michael Jackson for his contributions!
I like this tribute song. I know that everyone is ready willing and able to pay their respects to such a great man. With that said I think they should do another version without The Game and Diddy on it. (I’m tryna remain positive here)
I pray that everyone is able to put aside at least for now, the controversies that plagued MJ’s career and honor the many contributions he made to the world!
I still can’t process the fact that Michael isn’t comming back. I woke up this morning hoping it was a bad joke and am still waiting to wake up from this nightmare…..RIP MJ the King

Very nice.. would have been nicer without Diddy’s usual banter.. but still a touching tribute.. I am in shock. I’ve been fighting tears since I heard. Music has truly died now. Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, B.B. King are all that’s left of the true and relevant icons.
Wow, my heart is hearting right now, my dad died at 50 and it just reminds me so much of that, Bernie Mac too.. I just want to turn off my radio and bury it.

ok honestly ur telling me they couldn’t had gotten better more well established singers on this song plus this was just thrown together. They couldn’t just waiit a little while longer to make a song? people just trying to draw the attention of michael’s death onto them. wtf is chris doing on this song. he’s only been out 4 yrs! honestly i would love to hear janet write a song then collaborate with the original Jackson 5 on it and throw a twist of Mary J.Blige backgroud vocals with a little bit of a TLC beat. Thiis song ain’t nothin but trash with attention cravers on it.

That has got to be the worst impromptu mash-up of a tribute song I have ever heard!!!

The chorus makes no sense… Game is over there talkin about squashin beef with 50 when that is obviously a lie… and Diddy is still goin on with that Cant Stop Wont STop bullshit!!! And the beat is kinda mediocre too…

I love this song. I respect Diddy for moving so quickly to pay homage. You know that man NEVER sleeps! I know there will be many more songs to honor Micheal from all types of artist. I don’t think Chris is using this as an opportunity. Chris is a TRUE Micheal Jackson fan. He dedicates a portion of each of his concerts to MJ and always pays respect to him when he was living. They were reportedly in talks to have Chris open for some of MJ’s shows once he started the US tour. That will never happen now, but I am sure Chris wants to honor him in death as he did in life. Haters like Joel YOU fall back! Show some respect…time out for that petty sh*t.

I don’t get why people are acting like this will be the only song that people are going to do.There’s going to be about a million more.
Just appreciate the song and it’s a pretty nice song done in less then 24 hours. If people don’t care for this one, then wait on the other million more that will be released in the next couple months.
I don’t get why people have to hate or negative about something being done in a positive way fro an Legend that these people looked up too. LET THEM BE!
We all know this wont be the only song. And others songs don’t make it more “REAL” then this one. They all are different in their own way. This was is real as the next one that will come out.
Even something be done as a tribute people still gotta be negative and mean. Just enjoy it.

Yes we did loose a legend, but that doesnt mean that we have to love every tribute that comes out.
This 1 is just ok. Not spectacular.
R they gettng $? I dont hear this on the radio, it aint 4 sale anywhere.
knowing Puffy this is prolly a remake or a sample ( like Missing You sampled Police/Sting & Puffy aint make no $ from it! Like Mo $ Mo Problems samples Diane Ross ) so he may not even be getting the $ from it.

I’m all for “FREEDOM OF SPEECH” and everything, but daaaayyyym……….even with such a HUGE TRAGIC LOSS like this, yall can’t act like yall got some sense?
Are yall serious???????
Have yall ever heard of the phrase “SOME THINGS R BETTER LEFT UNSAID!”
Talking about “the song is wack.” Even if u really feel this way, u couldn’ve just kept that 2 urself? Was it really that hard 2 keep that 2 urselves?
Does the phrase “THERE’S A TIME & A PLACE 4 EVERYTHING” mean anything to
you? I mean seriously……….and 4 the record, that song was beyond off the chain.
EVERYBODY DID GREAT!!! Chris Brown did the d*mn thing. I don’t know what the hell everybody else is talking about. It’s perfectly fine if u don’t like it, I’m not saying that u have 2 like it. I’m just saying “SHOW SOME RESPECT!” This is MJ were talking about. I know yall r 2 young & ignorant to really appreciate the ANGEL that
MICHEAL JACKSON was, but could yall please (atleast) ACT like yall

Honestly is anyone afraid like I am of what BET is putting together? To me I think they should just have someone come out and talk about Mike while they have a slideshow…Why? Because nobody can whip up something phenomenal for the awards in such notice. I’d rather BET take their time and actually have a MJ celebration special that is well thought and pays the correct homage this man deserves.
This song was simply ok..to me they should have waited and simply released statements like other artists because you can tell this was thrown together. MJ was a well thought out guy and never did any half azzed. I’m waiting for the more in depth tributes to come out.

Shame … why focus on Chris being asked to be a part of it. The child is the biggest MJ fan you could find so of course he would take part in this when asked. Every last one of his concerts have a little Mj section hell the background ideas behind his music vids are MJ related. If he wants to pay tribute who are you to tell him he cant. I don’t see why him wanting to pay homage to his idol should be seen as a ploy when he practically breathes his music.
Anyway as for the song in my opinion it could have been better but its a nice thought. I could really do without the game and add more Boyz II men but its a good record. It shows you how much Mj has influenced all kinds of different culture. I’m sure this is just the first of many to come. RIP Mj you truly will be missed.

I stopped the song when i heard The Game say “MJ was my ni**ga”. (Did not like that) MJ was such a positive person he never said so and so is or was my ni**ga in his songs. This man made Heal The World and Man in The Mirror. Both of these songs have a strong message and meaning. They relate to the maddness we see on the news each day
Go find Heal The World and Man in The Mirror videos and watch them

This is a dope tribute song. Normally, I don’t care too much for tribute songs because they don’t do the person justice, but this was incredible. And stop making this about Chris. I like the fact that he’s on the song, and it’s not about him, it’s about Michael.

Some of you people, like you Joel & Queen, really need to grow up! Chris Brown ain’t trying to use this as an opportunity to get back in the spotlight! We haven’t heard two f*** from him since the last hearing! He, just like every other artist on this track, is trying to pay tribute to an icon! He was probabaly asked to be on the track! WTF is wrong wit you people! This ain’t got shit to do with him & Rihanna & you know damn well if what happened between them hadn’t happened, ya’ll wouldn’t have a damn thing to say about CB being on the track! And Newsflash: Michael Jackson said he was a big fan of CB, he probably is honored right now! A legend just died and they are paying tribute! These artist got together in less than 24 hours and went into the studio with raw emotion and came up with a very decent tribute song! I’m sure it won’t hardly be the only one! There will be dozens more to come! Get off CB dick! And you lame ass haters stop using this tragedy as a a chance to bash CB! Show some effing respect! Lame ass Mofo’s got me hot!

NO, NO, NO!!!! Really? I’m sorry at a time like this we need NOT to use the N* word in a song that is SUPPOSED to commemorate the life of a Legend and musical genius. Say what you wanna say about Michael Jackson but his legacy deserves a greater degree of respect, and I believe that what really killed this song for me was the use of the N* word. Anything else after that didn’t even matter. R.I.P MJ

Furthermore, I normally don’t comment on peoples responses but I’m seeing a trend of people on this post that said this song was “dope” or even “hot” and I know you are entiled to your opinion, BUT really? Dope? Does “dope” really describe this song are are some of you a little jaded with hot beats and mainstream artists to the point where they can do no wrong, say no wrong…etc. This was admirable and in great intent, but I feel a bit premature and not well thought out. Think of this song years from now and then think about your children, would you use this song as a tool in teaching them about Michael Jackson’s legacy and what he meant to the world? Are you really going to play this song? Think about it folks and please WAKE UP! We have get higher and in order to do so we must use our minds and work together on things that empower people not disguise offensive lyrical content as a true body of art in musical history. A tribute should always inspire and not confuse or divide.

The song , isn’t on MJJ level, and if he was alive he would probably change the song around to make it nice, but we have to understand there is only one King of Pop, these young artists aren’t MJJ, and they did the best they could, considering the fact that they are grieving. Unlike MJJ, not too many people can take pain and put it into words and beats. MJJ was a genius.

One question?……Who is “The Young Mike Jackson?”
That person is the best person to pay tribute to MJ and did. I look forward to seeing him on stage doing his tributes as he has since coming into the game. Game did his thing too. No one will ever match MJ, ever. All we have now are fans of MJ. Whoever comes out with an album (new artist) now should have AMJ on the label somewhere for After Michael Jackson because if you didn’t see this man perform while he was alive, you missed a wonderful display of genius. Tapes won’t do it. Just think soon we’ll have artist (10-15 yrs) with albums that never saw the man (or James Brown). Also remember for all those that remember Motown 25, Marvin Gaye performed as well. Our greatest treasures, gone too soon.

I ACTUALLY LIKE THE SONG. I THINK EVERYONE HAD THEIR HEARTS IN THE RIGHT PLACE. THEY JUST WANTED TO SHOW LOVE TO THE MAN. IT’S JUST ONE OF MANY TRIBUTES TO COME. THIS ONE WAS THE YOUNGER ARTISTS. I’M SURE THE OTHER LEGENDARY OLD SCHOOL ARTISTS WILL COME OUT AND PAY TRIBUTE AS WELL.
(I DO AGREE THAT THE GAME SHOULDN’T HAVE REFERRED TO MJ AS HIS N*GGA. ANYONE WHO KNOWS MJ KNOWS HOW MUCH HE HATED THAT WORD! HE NEVER USED IT IN ONE SINGLE SONG EVER!) BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A NICE SONG. I HAVE BEEN ON OTHER SITES WHERE PEOPLE ARE SAYING HORRIBLE DISGUSTING THINGS ABOUT MJ. SO I SAY IF SOMEONE IS SHOWING HIM LOVE (EVEN CHRIS BROWN) SO BE IT! THE MORE LOVE THE BETTER! KEEP IT COMING! IT WILL HELP BALANCE OUT SOME OF THE HATE OTHER PEOPLE WILL BE SPEWING ABOUT MJ. IT’S ALL ABOUT MICHAEL. DON’T MAKE IT ABOUT ANYTHING OR ANYONE ELSE!

Wow, grew up listening to MJ all my life. Nice song, Chris made the song in my book. The only problem I had was the rapper using the word my nigger. Go head with that. I would not buy it for that. But, hearing Chris let me know he did not deserve jail time. Hope he gets the help he needs to conquer the abuse he saw in his childhood. Alot of our people are reacting to abuse, verbal/emotional/domestic violence, sexual, etc. Jail is not always the solution in some situations, not all now. The song was a tear jerker esp with Boys II Men ad lib. Can’t wait to see the tributes on TV, I got my kleenex ready.

I’m still in denial, Michael has been apart of my life since i was born! I’ve never cried for a celeb before, but Michael isn’t just a celeb; he is far more than that, far more.
This song is beautiful and it came from a beautiful place with loving intentions. It is absolutely sick and disgusting to hear that some people think Chris is using the death of his IDOL/INSPIRATION to get into people’s good graces, SMH. I think that people who hate Chris are the only ones thinking that this is why he would do this. Even other people who hate Chris think differently, what does that say about you? If that whole incident hadn’t have happened I guarantee he’d still be on a MJ tribute track.
Everyone knows how much Chris loved MJ; you can see his influence in some of Chris’ videos:
- Yo (Excuse Me Miss) = The Way You Make Me Feel (following a girl up and down the street trying to holla at her)
- Gimme That = Smooth Criminal (1920’s theme, with the suits and dancing)
- Wall to Wall = Thriller (little introduction where he transforms into a monster/vampire, suppose to be scary, dance breakdown, turns out to be a dream)
If Chris is asked to be apart of the tribute, LET HIM DO IT! He is not trying to be the next Michael, he will NEVER be the next Michael, I don’t even think he comes close!! But that is not what a tribute is. Chris is very talented and MJ saw that for himself, please drop the hate. What other opportunity will he have to pay respect and tribute in loving memory of his idol. Stop making this about Chris and look at it for what it really is; a chance to express how much MJ meant to them and to everyone else.
Michael Jackson has inspired and touched the lives of practically everyone on this planet. Let people express their gratitude towards him the best way they can. Drop the hate and lets try to heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race!!
I love you Michael Joseph Jackson, so so much. May his soul rest in perfect peace. He’s with God now, on the other side. Be blessed Michael <3

I really like this song was great. I felt that it was appropriate for artists to create this song. But I do feel as though Diddy talking was not needed. Not trying to take away attention from the main purpose which is Michael’s tribute, but Diddy is always trying talk about… nothing. He always has to talk on someones songs. I can’t stand him.
But my heart hurts so badly because of MJ’s passing. I wish the media would respect his family’s privacy and leave them alone. The media is to blame for how bad his reputation was ruined. I know the constant negativity that came from them contributed to the downward spiral of Michael. Imagine if everyday people were saying things about you? That you were the rebuttal of people’s jokes. I don’t think anyone commenting could handle that. The media was so caught up in Michael’s personal life that they completely forgot what he stood for as a person and entertainer. He wasn’t a child molester or the “guy that lost his black card.” He was the greatest entertainer EVER, and every knuckle head out there today owes him for paving the way for him. You look at all of these kids like Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher.. all wanting to be someone they could NEVER amount to.
The world lost such a great talent. I don’t think people will ever heal from this. People grew up with Michael! They are his childhood! RIP Michael.

People who think CB is using this opportunity as a comeback WANT to believe and WISH that CB was using this as an opportunity for a comeback because they WANT another reason to hate him. Its real sad and quite pathetic too. The measure which you use to judge others, the same measure will be used to judge you. Look at the man in the mirror people…you are soo sad. Have you noticed that you guys are a minority now. Everyone is past that, move on already!!

Liked the song…the only thing -well the biggest thing- that messed it up is the use of the word NIGGER. Why? Just why? Other than that, I think it’s great that they could do something like this in such a short period of time. Love you Mike! (Oh yeah, I didn’t hear Usher either)
P.S. I reeeaaallly hope Chris Brown is part of the BET Awards. Other than Usher and Justin, who else can give justice to an MJ performance?

That Lady From H-Town
Saturday, June 27, 2009 /
To start I did like the song, at first I thought it was gonna be corny because of the array of different artists; but in the end it was nice. Now for those that have something negative to say about Chris Brown being on this song are wrong. That young man emulated MJ in all his work. If anyone should being doing a tribute to Michael Jackson it should be Usher, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo; all three of these artists have all stated how Michael influenced their career. To add more fuel to the fire Ciara as well because she was influenced by Janet for them to put together a montage of his songs and do what they do best would be fire. Chris and Ciara doin scream (mike and janet), Ne-Yo to do Billie Jean, Usher The way you make me feel, Chris Smooth Criminal and all of them to do Thriller.
Michael was about dance and energy, he had his reflecting moments but for those 80’s babies that grew up to his work (myself) seen the pure energy he gave his fans. Now maybe for the slower cuts yes then let Mariah scream her way through them, but other than that he was about dance, pop and ENERGY.
LASTLY to #13 and #16 bet you wasn’t hate’n Chris Brown before this incident and you were bump’n his cd’s. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion but this young man was and is a TRUE fan and he’s paying his respects to his IDOL. #20 AND #23 THANK YOU for realizing the real reason for this song.

No one can quite capitalize on a death more gracefully that Sean P. Diddy Combs. I respect the gesture but I truly question the motives of the key organizer Diddy Bopper. The only reputable artist he has on the single is Usher and maybe the Game.
These are my opinions and they are based on past behaviors of Mr. Combs also known as the devil!!!

Mike, that’s what I call him. In my family he was a distant relative to us. He is the world’s grleatest and he will be missed. My mother is sad as if she lost a child of her own but we know that he’s in a better place. Even though I was born is 84′, I always knew in my heart that I would marry Mike. He is a legend and will never be forgotten. His family and friends are in my prayers and I ask God to keep them safe from all the drama that is to come. God bless them.

This is special to see many who he’s influenced drop everything to pay homage to the man that contributed greatly to their love for music. I like Chris on the song, everyone knows how big of a MJ fan Chris was and who would pass up the opportunity to do something great in his honor. In actuality, Chris doesn’t need something like to this revive his career because believe it or not, he still has hundreds of thousands adoring fans that will follow his every move. So can we stop the speculation and let this act of humility carry on the spirit of the world’s greatest entertainer. Chris did what he was supposed to do, he gave the man his flowers while he was with us AND is honoring him in his departure. Take it for what it is and stop trying to taint a humble gesture.

People who call this “song” great only expose the fact that 1. They don’t know a thing about REAL music and 2. They know even less about Michael Jackson.
Michael did not have an agenda when he made music. His talent spoke for him and that transcended all types of barriers that these 3 idiots could not begin to penetrate.
This song is less about Michael and more about narcissist who need to ride on Michel’s coat tails and attempt to be linked to his legacy.
Sorry that will NEVER happen.
Michael was a musical genius. Chris “the FELON” Brown is just not worthy to even speak Michael’s name. Chris is not even half the dancer Michael was. Imitation is not talent sorry. And Chris will never be the type of STAR that Michael is and that was LONG before he became a known FELON.
Michael was better than Elvis Chris is not even better than Usher that says it all FOLKS.

I thought the song was nice, definately could have been done without the N*word but everyone knows this may be the first tribute song, but will not be the last. But its good for a song made so quickly. Im just hoping like one of the other people said, that BET puts together a great tribute to this LEGEND. If they feel something in them to do a song about someone they love so BE it!! Your Trash.. And Hellooo did u watch the MTV awards in 07, or the World Music Awards in 06.. BOTH times CHRIS paid homage to MJ.. And also Michael Jackson SAID out of his OWN MOUTH that he loved Chris Brown and was very Happy and proud that he made such a great influence in his life. He went on to say that Chris Brown is also a influence to him, and also Thanked Chris Brown for making what he crafted live on. SOOOOO what u gotta say about that?!?! dumb bitch..

people on here really do need to humble themselves. Why can’t this song just be an honest effort by these men to pay tribute? Chris Brown was a genuine MJ fan, and that was evident in every performance he gave. Chris Brown is one of the best dancers of our time and tried to pay homage to Mike even when he was living, unlike some people who all of a sudden want to look past MJ’s troubles and honor him in his death. I enjoy this song because it expresses how they truly feel.
And the younger generation (ie the ones on this song) are the ones who are truly capable of giving MJ the tribute he deserves because MJ always loved young people. If michael jackson could hear this im sure he would be in tears, just like i am writing this.
Michael Jacksons influence on our world was amazing. He changed music, fashion, and philantropy forever and he was so young. And people on here want to trash talk his celebrity fans then want to say but RIP MIKE. All of the haters on here are the ones not being genuine, this is not the time nor place to hate on someone or their fans.
“Some people are entertainers and some people are great entertainers. Some people are followers and some people make the paths and are pioneers.” - Michael Jackson
Rest in Peace Michael Jackson, your legacy lives on through your family and fans.

I’m mad some of you are making this a Chris Brown thing. Michael has influenced him just like any other artist out today. If he wants to be on a song to pay his respects then he can do that. Why does it have to be about him “saving” his career? Have some respect. We’ve all heard him talk about and imitate MJ over the years. Chris made a mistake just like any one of us as humans do. He’s been punished, case closed. Why are you dwelling on it? Let the boy live. I love the song. Michael will forever be remembered. RIP to the undisputed King of Pop. We love and miss you MJ!

Michael was not just the guy - whom brought forward the ”MOONWALK” but making songs like
”Earth”
”You are not alone”
Black or White
Heal
i will be there
He helped many. He had songs that had a meaning to them. He didnt make songs that had no substance behind them.
Thats why their will forever and always only be one MJ. No one will be better than him not black. It doesnt matter. But that N word wasnt necessary. They can never be on his level. He was in his own league. I am still in disbelief.
I ask myself ? why but you can’t and should never question god.
It was michaels time. The people that had negativegossip to say about him are right now appreciating him.Very unfortunate that he had to die for them to appreciate him. He is ”Better on the side”. Sad so soon though. The artists that met him and collaborated with him are very lucky.

I love that everyone mentions “how quickly” this garbage song was made. And you know what?? You can tell by the rather poor quality.
BET is not giving the definitive Michael Jackson tribute that will be done by more reputable institutions.
And Chris Brown is not heir to the Jackson Legacy you people need to stop being so funny!
Chris is so not an important artist in any stretch that is like saying Ciara is like Diana Ross that is how foolish you people sound. CB never sold anything close to the numbers Michael has sold and people don’t even know Chris Brown in many parts of this nation. Chris is in the league of BOW WOW, Soulja Boy, Omarion and other marginal artist buffoon artists. And then add his new notoriety. Sorry This is the Obama generation and people are far more educated on issues like domestic abuse and real talent and FELONS like Chris and TI are not the same type of entertainers that people like Michael Jackson.
Sorry. Chris Brown is very “of the moment” to a small R&B audience (the same audience that thinks Birthday Sex is a “GREAT” song) and his moment has long past. And this is about MICHAEL JACKSON a LEGEND not about little Chris Breezy “the FELON” Brown the woman beater.
BET celebrates all the wrong things and this is just another example of exploitation for ratings.

Its not about Chris. For those that are dwelling on Chris and claiming that this is his attempt for a comeback, you sure are paying him a lot of “undeserved attention” don’tcha think? Everyone knows that Chris was a devout MJ fan, and Chris has stated publicly that he wouldn’t be who he is or do what he does if it weren’t for Michael. He simply sang a tribute song. If you don’t like it, MOVE ON TO THE NEXT TRACK. But please, no bashing…you’re doing a horrible job of preserving Michael’s memory. This is an ignorant waste of time and energy. Get over yourself, or better yet make your own tribute record and blow Chris out the water. Frankly, if you’re not doing anything better shut it down….just stop talking.

this the type of song were the anges cry

It had meaning. This is about michael tribute. Not chris personal issue. Like michael had his fair share of negative media press. (I’m not going to c those people, who tried to ruin MJ career). But only god can judge chris. Leave him be Let it go. He knows who he was inspired by.He isnt using this as a opprturnity. At his concert he always payed homage to him. And IDC if anyone gets mad that I am discussing this on this post. Oh well he in the song and we can talk about whomever we want and our opinions on this songs. After listening to this song for the 3rd time it really does suck! It could be better. The N word makes me angry every time I listen to this it. The Game is ignorant for that. “Mike was my ni99a”. We can talk about Chris Brown for the simple reason that the “tribute” song is the subject of the post and we can give our opinions of the song just like anyone else. Missing U by Diana Ross that is quality. That is an excellent song written from a personal perspective on a musical great Marvin Gaye. Michael Jackson would not be supportive of Chris Brown or anyone beating women (fan or no fan). Michael comes from a home where his own father abused him and his mother and look at the damage it caused him and the entire Jackson family. I’m looking at the wallpaper of this cite and it’s shocking what Michael did to himself because of that pain. And for anyone to just overlook that and include Brown is irresponsible. Diddy is really one of the most opportunistic, disgusting people in the music business. He is no Quincy Jones or Berry Gordy. And the Game using the N-Word will only make this song more marginal than it already is. Michael was an artist in every sense and it’s amazing he was this creative with all of this personal pain in his life. Michael was not perfect but when you weigh his musical contributions alone he stands taller than some of the biggest most talented people in the industry. And no artist has sold more than Michael or made a more impact with a single record and I’m talking about the Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, the GREATS. Not buffoons like Chris Brown, Diddy and “The Game.”
This song is pure TRASH pure and simple.

I love the Song. I love that Chris Brown was on it. You know the killing part about all of this, most of the people relying their comments,( escpecially Chris Brown) were the same ones dogging Michael Jackson when he was alive. It’s side that people have no forgivness in their hearts unless they are the ones that need forgiveness. Move on people, Rhianna was hitting Chris Brown 1st ( Which is beside the point). If you like the song fine, stop bringing up Chris Brown’s past trangressions unless you are willing to be transparent & bring up yours…..Now that is realism 4 U!!!

Chris should not be on this song. He needs to prove he is sorry for what he did. To be forgiven he has to show he is sorry. Chris has NOT done that at all. And until he does that he will not be forgiven. Pretending like he is innocent until he had no choice but to confess to avoid jail and the DETAILS coming out. @PLEASE! You speak the truth. We have people talking about “abortion” anything to excuse Chris. SAD! Jackson rest in pace. These Vultures can’t touch you.

Dear Michael,
I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I do remember three songs that you inspired me by which are “Bad”, “Smooth Criminal” and “Butterflies”. You definitely inspired my dancing, my grind within the industry, and I can not begin to express my gratitude towards who you are as a person. You are definitely transcended throughout the world and beyond, and now I hope you rest graciously in the glorious kingdom of heaven. We as musicians love you so much, We will miss you. Rest In Love.

Who died & made “people” the judge of anyones life?? It doesn’t matter what” Kid Fresh” says or anyone else. It’s not for you to decide. There are a lot of immature grown folks …. there is no one sin bigger than the other & I do remember he said he was sorry, besides the main people who are commenting on Chris are the main ones who were dissing Mike Jackson & agreed with Katt Williams comments when he was alive & now that he is dead everyone is all gongho? Grow up!

i only read the first page of comments and everybody is bashing chris brown…idt it matters if he is on the song or not..88.8 percent of the people who replied to this loves the song with or without him and the only that should matter right now is michael jackson..NOT how much you all dislike chris brown..

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS…….AS I STATED B4, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS SONG…….NOTHING……..YEAH I SAID IT!!!!!!!!
ACTUALLY, THERE ARE ONLY 2 FLAWS IN THIS SONG, & NEITHER FLAW HAS 2 DO WITH CB. THE 2 FLAWS WERE THE GAME USING THE N WORD & MENTIONING HIS BEEF WITH 50. THOSE ARE THE ONLY 2 FLAWS IN THE SONG. BESIDES THAT, WHAT’S THE PROBLEM? THERE’S OBVIOUSLY GONNA
BE MORE TRIBUTES IN THE FUTURE……DUUUH!!! HELLLLOOOO, THIS IS MJ WE’RE TALKING ABOUT, OR HAVE YALL ALREADY 4GOTTEN WHO WE’RE MOURNING HERE……GODDDDD…….SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!
IF U LOVE THE SONG, FINE, & IF NOT, SHUT UP & KILL YOURSELVES,

THAT WAS NICE OF THEM TO DO THAT FOR MJ.
Chris isn’t using this as a comeback. PAUSE @ all you bitter hypocrites who think so. Have you forgotten that Michael was not only the KING of Pop, but King of controversy as well. He’s been accused of the worst things everrrrrrrrrr, and was loved through it all. Mike loved Chris and picked him for performances and how about that personal call to Chris on his 18th birthday….. you haters WISHHHHHHH…and now it’ll never happen, so stay hatin on Chris, while he shines above it all and continues to fulfill his dreams!

I remember waking up every saturday and my mom would pop in the Off The Wall album and that ENTIRE DAY we would listen to MJ and just be soooo excited… INVINCIBLE….
I never got the chance to meet him, that was one of my life’s dreams was to just be able to sit with him and ask him about certain things that he has been through in this industry. MIKE WE LOVE YOU..
For the amazing production input, remarkable spontaneity of your personality that showed through your moves, the hypnotizing dynamics of your mastermind vocal and video arrangements… THERE WILL NEVER BE ANY OTHER ARTIST THAT COULD EVER TAKE YOUR PLACE…. Now, we are charged to PICK UP TH SLACK and RESOLVE THE MESS OF A MUSIC INDUSTRY WE HAVE NOW…
thanks for letting US see the MAN IN TH MIRROR!

Yes you right this is Michael Jackson……NOT IKE TURNER. So Chris shouldn’t be on here. The last highlight of his career was him beating a woman, he chose to tribute Ike Turner back in February. We don’t need anymore tributes from CB.

Alright song for a rap tribute but on the real this shit was depressing. I think MJ would have wanted a more happy upbeat tribute song. Besides I’m waiting for a r&b tribute track.one more thing why didn’t concreteloop post 50’s two songs shouting out mj, which he released the same day he died. For some weird reason it seems like this site is anti-50.
RIP Michael jackson/Forever King of Pop

Michael would not “love” this Song. He never used the N word and he sure never did a song with any of these clowns.
I wish people would stop trying to degrade Michael Memory with these types of contrary songs.
Michael touched everyone and just because he touched you does not mean you Rush out Garbage. Michael was a PERFECTIONIST.
This is not perfection.

@236 I understand Michael’s work ethic as a perfectionist but everyone is not the same and I do not believe anyone is degrading his memory in making their own personal tributes to him. Neither you or I can speak for Michael as to what he would and not “love”. However, Michael was also a very grateful person, and I think he would be very thankful for all the outpouring of love he is receiving. My only wish is that his last days were filled with this kind of support from the people he loved.

@ WESTEND
It’s cool to want to give Michael props. But the question here is the quality of said “tribute” and using the N Word and having a woman beater on the track is not exactly something Michael would endorse given his own personal story and standards. I’m sure he would love that people respected his memory he has earned all of that love. But again we are talking about what is appropriate and what is in good taste. While these are subjective matters It’s fair to state the facts in this case. Chris Brown is offensive and so are Diddy and The Game. And this is counter to how Michael was as an artist and how most of us will remember him. If you can see past the vulgarity of Chris and these others god bless you because they are highly distracting for some. But then I refocus on Michael and this song is put into perspective. It’s a rather sloppy song and really has nothing to do with Michael Jackson’s Legacy.
246.
I LOVE U MICHAEL

i LOVE this song but i WISH Diddy gay ass wasn’t on it like 4real….he always find a way to be SO overbearing on a song and NEVER says anything special BUT i guess this isn’t about him, MJ right? But anwayz i really am going to miss Mike dearly like i wasnt a BIG BIG fan before but i did like him and always gave him support even if i was having doubts about if he was crazy or not he STILL and STILL is the King to me and to others out there in the world that doubt the notion F*CK OFF!! because you know the truth is in the music…and to those actin like ya’ll support Chris and how he is now so called “innoncent” SHUT THE FUCK UP! because half of ya’ll wasn’t supportin him anymore before Mike’s death so don’t try and sugarcoat to support now but he DOES sound REALLY good on the chorus and i honestly think this shoulda been a song wit just him and Boyz 2 Men because most don’t know that Mike helped Boyz 2 Men behind the scenes…he was SUCH a good guy yo i swear! RIP to the idol, the legend, the REAL superstar, the king of EVERYTHING…Michael Jackson…Love you homie….may you rest in paradise

This was an ok song I must say (minus the reference to Michael as “my ni**er”) I think they should have performed this on BET last night. As far as the negative comments about Chris Brown, they are insignificant because Michael was Chris’ idol as Chris has voiced this many times and Michael responded that he was glad that he had a positive influence on Chris. Chris always incorporated Michaels dances into his routines. If Chris would have performed last night, it would have been without a doubt, the best performance of the night because he would’ve put his all into it! I will wait for the tribute with real singers that were close to him
