The Clipse team with Keri Hilson for their newest track, “Eyes On Me,” a track taken from DJ Haze & Hear-It-First.net’s 7 Days of Haze: Day 3 mixtape.
The track was produced by The Neptunes, whom The Clipse made their first splash onto the scene with Lord Willin’, back in 2002. The duo is set to drop their latest album, Till the Casket Drops, set to release in September, led by the single, “I’m Good.” Props to our good friends at Nah Right!

Damn! Keri Hilson is everywhere. She is like a cousin who doesn’t know when to leave a party to me. For some reason she irritates me……but do you thing ma!
Not feeling it, and I hate how artists jump on the bandwagon. Do something different, collaborate with different artists. And the thing is they get mad when you say their not original and don’t stand out.
Brian.. Keri’s singing, much like her hairstyles, are TIRED and WACK.. please, please.. be a real true friend to her and tell her to just go back to writing and producing!
What happened to the old Clipse? Back when they had such solid wordplay and a gritty delivery. This and the other single I’ve heard have sounded so pop-ish. I think their falling off. *smh* Why’s Keri sound so un-polished, almost like they didn’t mix down her vocals?
And Keri Hilson has COMPLETELY sold out. I thought she would be completely different, almost like a female Neyo as far as songwriting to artist. But she has made it clear that collecting checks is her priority. Cant blame her though!
i lov keri, she’s a power broker on the rise because what’s she’s accomplished in such a short amount of time is astonishing, especially, during this economic crisis mode the coutnry’s going through! I like her swag, this chick has confidence and obviously, learned the game from the inside out, the top to the bottom…she’s playing her hand well against tremendous odds, many haters and delusional stans…this girl made it happen with the grace of God! She’s getting good editorial and becoming one of the signature faces magazines and webzines will use to include a black woman perspective…I’m sure one of the cosmetics companies is calling her up…her face is seriously beautiful…if she can act, she’ll get some of the roles that used go to Halle Berry…
CL is doing it, really helping to launch and further careers…becuz the white pap aren’t offered the same bounty for black celebrity images, so they don’t pursuit black artists and this is why these social communities are vital…working in conjunction with print, radio and tv media…go CL…we need all the quality and diverse black media we can get…I love black power brokers…this is how we get to own more of the infrastructure to call the shots and be true bosses!

I really don’t get the disdain for Keri Hilson and her music. I mean PLEAAAAASE lets not deny that she can SING. It’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. And sooo much better than some of the artists that people are swooning over. On top of that she can really write music and so she’s really a quality artist for me — because at least half of what she sings I know she wrote. Just because her singles never topped the charts you can’t say that Energy wasn’t a good song for example (vocally, lyrically) and of course her most recent singles are catchy….I just don’t get what so many people have against her.
Anyways, I don’t really like Eyes On Me. Not really feeling the vocal, it does sounds like it wasn’t mixed with the track. And the Clipse are sounding pretty watered down. Is it just me or does the beat remind you of Margarita by Sleepy Brown (funny enough i think pharell produced that)
RICABEE – the keyword is “me”. It’s your opinion and not everyone has to feel the same way. There is not one artist that is like by everyone, do you question the disdain for them. How well she can sing IS an opinion because not everyone is impressed with her vocals or music.
killer beat…The vocals to me sound like their the ones in the background, I heard no climax, no breakdown, no vocals playing behind other vocals, none of the things I enjoy the most. The beat was meant for that.
