I love all the FLASH and glitter he used to have. I love how he literally dressed up as the KING of pop with all those tops. He was REALLY HOT too, its a shame because you can see how much he wanted to be lighter. Putting on heavy foundation to lighten his skin then he eventually bleaches…..honestly though he still looked hot during the BAD era with the white skin and even with the first nose job. When he kept working on his nose it got worse.

But yeah, I just recently started noticing how fashionable he was!

People MJ had a skin condition called Vitiligo which is when the body attacks the black pigments of the skin, Michael had universal Vitiligo which is widespread.. Only treatment option in the 80’s was dipigmentation…

Type Michael Jackson and Vitiligo on youtube and you would see evidence of it.. It started right after the Thriller album… Im surprised the media kept this all a secret from people they got the black people thinking MJ was a self-hating black man…..

people are acting really weird since MJ passed. We all know he wasn’t himself those last 5 years. His early career and those thriller days were when he was setting those dope trends. Towards the end he was wearing pajamas and looking crazy. KEEP IT REAL. He will always be a legend, but people need to stop acting like he was 100% perfect ALL THE TIME!

and i didn’t comment on that who rock’d it best post but i’m saying now that michael had great style. from what i’ve heard, decarnin (the guy who designs for balmain now) used michael as inspiration which is why the clothes look so michael-esque. wasn’t an accident. i was watching the “bad” video and i love the buckles on the pants. he was fly and he rarely got it wrong. the “beat it” outfit, the “smooth criminal” outfit, hot. i’ll admit that i never noticed his clothing b4 b/c i was a fan for the music first and foremost but looking back on his videos and performances, i realize that he could be pretty stylish

Michael Jackson was larger than life and a part of my childhood. He touched the world. When he was going through it in and out of court for false allegations the US media condemned him and where was the Black Community for Michael at that time? For a minute Michael had to leave this country to go live elsewhere. I remember when I was working on the social marketing Thriller 2008 project A LOT of the urban bloggers were smashing MJ and as well A LOT of their viewers. I am sure some folks feel stupid or bad now realizing this man was loved around the world and he gave soooooooooooo much and leaving some much more in his death.. He was powerful man and humanitarian and rolled with power players in all walks of life all over the world. I found a link today where in other countries they have Michael Jackson stamps.. If you go on twitter they are tweeting about Michael around the clock in EVERY language. The knowledge of this death almost shut down twitter, and google.. WTF.. when have you ever heard of that?.. Who shakes GOOGLE!???

I agree 100%. Michael is not here to defend himself and the media will try to dig up any and everything they can to try to make a mockery of him. He is a legend and should be respected as such. I hope CL continues to post things like this..Positive things about Michael so that some of the younger readers who didn’t get to experience him the way we did will get to see some of what he contributed. Other media will continue to try to destroy his good name and tear down his legacy. It’s up to his real fans to not let that happen.

I always loved Mike, never believed the bull the media said about him. My dad made sure I was introduced to this man for his talent, and the wonderful heart he had. About him getting lighter, like number 31 said..he had the disease and he has admitted to getting surgery to cover it up..but it got worst. OMG…I love michael SOOOOO much he and his video’s are in my earliest memories of a child. I was born at the beginning of the 90’s so by the time i came out Mike was a fully fledged Legend. I’ve always loved him and so has my mum (hence the exposure to his music at such an early age. I just hope (i would have said pray as it sounds better but REALITY is i probably won’t pray for this, nothing against mike just i honestly don’t pray as much as i should due to laziness and forgetfulness) he doesn’t have any form of cancer. this disesase is no joke. we’ve just found out a family has this and this our very first experience with cancer as NOBODY else in our family that we know of has ever had it. Either way we were never promised to stay here long. I’m only 19 (and only just turned last month) but since this birthday i have a feeling that somethings coming ( i don’t want to get into specifics as tbh this IS a celebrity gossip site notchurch or wherever else!) I just want to make things right with God because you never know when your time is up…

I liked him best when he would simplify is clothes. I’ll always remember him in black pants and penny loafers, white socks a v-neck t-shirt and a plain white button down shirt. Its like he made a bet with someone that he could wear the plainest most basic clothes and still rock the house. He did indeed.

We live in a world where difference separates us. Most people who travel their own path are not accepted. Michael Jackson was proof positive that true genius will never be denied. I loved his fashion sense but he meant a lot more than that to me. He showed me and a lot of people in my generation that anything was possible. That you did not have to picket, march, or beg to be accepted, just be the best at what you do, and nobody can deny you.

I was a teenager in the 80’s when he was so popular. I know I am probably a bit older than most of the people making comments on here. When Thriller came out, MTV was not playing black videos. I don’t think younger people can feel how recent that was. It is 27 years later. I went to a high school that was mixed, but when we had dances the black kids danced to our songs and the white kids danced to theirs… Everybody danced to Michael’s music. All the girls had his poster on their wall, white, black, whatever. I fell in love with dance because of this man and still dance professionally today. I have had the opportunity to travel the world. Around the world they rock this man’s music. Worldwide, people storm the dance floor when “Don’t stop til you get enough” is played. Some of the hardest guys I know get that twinkle in their eyes when they hear Mike’s music and you can just look at them and know they used to dance in front of the TV when Billie Jean came on.
It takes a very special individual to touch so many. RIP Michael, there’s always gonna be a white glove in my purse to remind me of you.
