Oprah Winfrey with school children at her Leadership Academy in South Africa where Thandie Newton is to teach acting to a female class.
Newton spoke to the media on Friday afternoon:
“I am really looking forward to it as its such a great scheme and its nice to give something back,” said Newton.
The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls near Johannesburg was established in 2007 after the TV host answered a plea from Nelson Mandela. The school aims to discover, teach and inspire young South African girls to become a new generation of leaders.

Wow…this is so touching…the smile on Oprah’s face says it all, as well as the others…what a great opportunity to serve and give back…it’s amazing with all the poverty and violations that kids in Africa endure that they want an education and how it’s a prviledge to attend school and have a uniform.
I know we need help here, too, but we have so much and many more opportunities…when I see images like this…so much frivilous pales, even celebrity gossip and hot topics…when it’s really about humanity and giving someone a helping hand. I’m glad CL reminds us what’s important in the mix of stan rivialry…The Graduates, Venus and Serena…we are such a diverse and wonderful people…

The reason why Forbes would’ve said that Angelina Jolie has more power than Oprah is because Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are members of the Council of Foreign Relations. It is THEIR JOB to go around the world and act as if they’re doing “good things” for people. It is not sincere. Getting back to my original point though, Jolie has the backing of the elites, Oprah does not, she is just a pawn who is used to defile the minds of women through American television. Angelina Jolie is bloodline through her father.

Wow Oprah’s smile on that first pic just speaks volumes of her good intentions and the personal interest she has in the girls. I say this as a South African, who has differed at points with th emodel of the school. I love also that for once, African children are not pictured looking raggedy, hungry and diseased. This is not who we are, we may want for a lot, but we are clean, beautiful happy people, happier than those who have a lot. And with little we have, we keep clean. This is our culture.

Oprah is my idol! She is such a smart business woman and she really gives back. From hurricane Katrina victims to South African students. She is a great role model. I don’t care what anyone says about her. I do wish she would have some kids though. She needs some heirs to carry on her legacy. We don’t have enough wealthy black families that pass on their wealth to future generations. We always hear about all of the wealthy white families and their heirs.
