The show was a waste of time.
Jamie Foxx only promoted his tour the whole time and had 3 performances…and they weren’t that good.
Only highlights: Keri Hilson’s performance and win, Jay-Z’s D.O.A., the Ojay’s (minus the 3 hours speach from Don) and the Tribute with my love Tyrese and the performance by my man Maxwell…

The worst of the worst was the performance by Beyonce that was totally random, the intro that was supposed to be a tribute to the Jackson 5 but failed miserably and the whole lame-ness of Jamie Foxx as a host that greatly disappointed me.

There was no MJ tribute, it was a total shame…

I don’t care what anybody says, BET honored michael jackson well last night, they did the best they could with the short amount of time given, and unlike any of the other music channels that will honor him, it means more from BET becuase it’s from the heart.

Ving Rhames could have stayed in the audience with that mess.

Jamie Foxx- Killed the show. He was hil-fucking-arious those tight ass pants he was wearing, the dancing and the jokes were killing me.
New Edition- Should have kept their asses at home. Bobby straight looked like the uncle that embarrassed the hell out of you at the family BBQ. That was a complete and utter mess. I really hope they don’t try to make a come back.
Keri Hilson- In the words of my mother, I use to like those songs before I saw this performance. She was trying to do waaaaay too much while singing.
Ne-Yo- Did his thing, he killed that performance.
Jamie- His performance was crazy, you couldn’t sit still throughout that whole performance. Man and when Travis Barker came out, that was just crazy.
Souljaboi- I just can’t stand this little boy so it’s not fair for me to talk about his performance, he can’t be considered a real rapper but I will say that I respect his hustle for making the way he did.
Beyonce- Her voice was amazing. I really don’t care what anyone says, her vocals were so on point.
Martin & Jamie- Cracked me the hell up.
Mary Mary- Did their thing. I like the fact that they are keeping up with the times but yet they still keep it gospel all the time.
Guy- I used to love them when I was like five.
Keyshia Cole and Monica- I just wouldn’t have invited Monica, she showed that girl up. She made Keyshia’s song her own.
Jay-Z- Now that’s a rapper. He did his thing.
Don Cornelius- He struggled, God bless him.
Tyrese and Johnny Gill- They sang the hell out of that song, but Trey Songz- was just too fly for me, he didn’t even try like the other two.
Taraji and Tyrese- Were funny as hell, it was good to see them back together again.
Maxwell- Love him.
Tiny- Why is she so ghetto?
Janet- Almost broke me down.

I was really looking forward to this event…With sheer and utter DISAPPOINTMENT…They made it seem like they changed the ENTIRE SHOW for MICHAEL JACKSON, and they didn’t, yet they STILL used that as an excuse for the COMPLETE DISORGANIZATION…Ok, ummm, Beyonce did ok, though she sang AVE MARIA IN A FREAKING LEOTARD…ARE U SERIOUS?!…Jamie…SMH…He put on a good show with “Blame It”, though he didn’t sound to hot, but I did enjoy his last performance…The Ojays were cool, as was Maxwelll…Everyone else…SMH

The BET Awards made me so mad. As a young black female who was very reserved and classy but stereotyped in high school by “upper class” white boys and girls because of the color of my skin, because of sh*t like this, I was just so embarassed and disgusted! I thought that Jamie Foxx’s performance was extremely funny and entertaining, but just about everything else was horrible.

Ciara has a very, very, weak voice! Her performance was extremely boring and irrelevant.

Beyonce looked like a damn fool! Why was she singing that song? It wasn’t one of her songs or had anything to do with Michael. It was supposed to be a tribute to him so therefore she should’ve busted out a glove or at least sung one of his slow songs.

Soulja Boy, why is he still even around. Very uneducated and a bad example of our bad youth! He needs to go back to school

Dont get me wrong….Beyonce’s performance was flawless put it was not appropriate for the BET awards show. That performance is for her concert, where her fans can be in awe of her in a wedding dress as they sing along to song or whatever. But at an award show? It was just weird!! Other than, ‘If I were a boy’, Beyonce has been slacking with the ballads! Those ballads are not for the Black audience….so when she sang ballads that most have not heard of and than sings in Spanish were almost everyone didnt know what she was singing about…it just was not GOOD for the audience taste. I mean, she barely got an appaulse from that! Jaime was hyping it up way too much!! But I was more disappointed that she did not perform a MJ. I thought she would have at least added a MJ ballad into mix. But she didnt…I was just turned off!! I thought she was suppose to? I know she could have done since she is BEYONCE! I read your “commentary” on the BET awards show via Twitter, and it was is almost 100% negative, and downright rude. In fact, it wasn’t commentary at all. It was hate. I know the show COULD have been better, but damn, with all things considered don’t you think everyone did a lot in 3 days after hearing the news about Michael Jackson’s death? Of course it wasn’t perfect, but my goodness, you would think that you all had some personal vendetta against the show (and network) from the very beginning. You sat there, typing away and picking apart every small detail that you saw wrong with the show and even at one point called it a failure, among other things. The show was not as good as it could have been but you have to take into account the amount of work it took to change the entire production at the LAST MINUTE.
One of you even audaciously wrote that the show was “coonery” and then in another sentence claimed that BET was perpetuating stereotypical attitudes of African Americans. WOW. And by using such derogatory language, what the hell are you doing? You don’t even have to like BET, but it’s sort of sad how you, and many other African Americans drag each other down during a time where everyone should have been celebrating. The show was supposed to be a fun, and commemorative but from reading your “commentary” it was as if BET had a sole responsibility to cater to your own preferences. WOW. All I’m saying is that while it is fine to dislike this year’s show, you all went about it in such a mean spirited way. Michael Jackson died. For a tribute planned in 3 days, I feel that at the very least, it was a great effort. If you don’t like the show, then fine but don’t go on about how it is “coonery” and “trash” because someone like me reading it, if I was white I would be calling you the same names for even writing that. I agree Caren…The whole Knowles and Carter tribe are just nasty…They try to use their status as a weapon to get what they want. They did it to LeToya and they did it to Chris Brown…I don’t endorse his behavior either but he’s clearly remorseful and I feel like he truly regrets his actions. The show was messy and so was the politics behind it.

The show was disappointing, but I can never remember it ever being that good…maybe the first time Mo’Nique hosted and when Will and Jada hosted were prolly the best two shows IMO.

I just think Jaimie’s monologue in the beginning was more insulting than humorous and he spent the rest of the show trying to compensate since he knew he tried it but it never really worked. Had he kept the jokes about Michael’s appearance out I think it would’ve been okay. I think the tribute aspects to Michael were poorly done and planned minus the very end with Janet and Jaime/Ne-Yo singing which was the most moving tribute of them all (not to mention Ne-Yo’s other tribute performance). How you gonna have a tribute to Michael without any dance is my thing…I’m sure they could’ve pulled something together in 2-3 days.

Performances, all of Jaimie’s and Ne-Yo’s were on point. Jay-Z was typical, but good. The O’Jays tribute with Johnny, Trey, and Tyrese was everything, even Tevin was good. Maxwell was good. Queen Latifah saved the Mary Mary performance. Ciara sounded decent and let you know that she can hold a note even if she’s not the greatest singer. Of all the songs Beyonce could’ve recycled from the I AM… tour I have NO idea what went through her head in deciding to do the Ave Marie/Angel performance when Halo would’ve been so perfect and she could’ve had images of Michael on the screens. Keri Hilson is not a dancer, and I couldn’t tell if she was giving props to Michael or Janelle Monae when she was at the mic. Soulja Boy was awful, seemed very pre-show performance in my eyes. Felt indifferent about the New Jack Swing tribute and New Edition’s opening. The Drake/Young Money performance was terrible.

BET (EBT) network was a coon show last night to say the least. Although they had 2-3 days to redo the show, they should have trimmed the unnecessary fat also know as Drake, Young Money, Lil’ Wayne, and Souljah Boy aka the Coon Klan. BET should have done it right or not at all. I would have been satisfied with a tribute at the end and/or at the beginning of the show. However, they stated the entire show was a tribute, and they failed. Making inappropriate jokes and using “nigger” constantly, It was a coon show and they let us down abysmally.

The show was full of NI99A moments! THey basically proved The Boondocks right! I hope Aaron McGruder dedicates an entire episode on the award show,lol…LMAO, Just thinking of it cracks me up!

I knew it! Though the show had good moments which included: Ne-yo “Lady In My Life”, BBD,The O’Jay’s tribute & The O’Jay’s, Janet, and Maxwell, plus other moments some might forget like Keke Palmer singing before giving out an award and Mary Mary, who were basically shown no love when they asked for some crowd participation by saying the words “It’s the God In Me” which the crowd were too lazy to do or stand, that is until Queen Latifah came out, receiving a standing ‘o.’

To me the show was just, I don’t want to say a fail, but it wasn’t good. I know that they had to switch so much around at the last minute, but no one said they had to do that. They could’ve easily shown a montage, and still had a family member come speak. Or give him a segment like they did the O’Jay’s, and have artist come up and sing his music then, to hold us over until the actual 2-hour tribute dedicated to just Michael is done at a later date, after some great planning. Sadly, The O’Jay’s tribute stepped all over MJ’s and they only had two acts paying them tribute. It just wasn’t done well, and someone stated that the tribute was good, and mean so much more and was with love, because it was done by BET from the heart. To me it just seemed like it would’ve been done better, or you wait until you can put on an actual tribute solely just about Michael.

Still can’t believe Chaka was there, and all they had her do was hand out some awards. Shame.

Also, does award shows just go to the it people for performances. Why not choose songs everyone is dancing and singing to like Hurricane Chris–Halle Berry (big hit), And why didn’t Keri Hison sing Knock U Down (did she not want to share the stage).

And also, The Dream & Kanye –Walking on the Moon would have been good (for the show and as a tribute to Michael).

The show seemed like it was a lot fun to be at. The audience seemed to be dancing the whole time and the energy seemed fun. Most of the performances were excellent! The ones that were just okay would propably be New Edition, Keith Sweat and Guy only for the singing aspect, they danced their butts off but the singing wasn’t as tight as it could be but it was nice to see them. Only thing I would say that was a negative was the timing and the censors. Jamie wasn’t being told when he was on the air and the cursing wasn’t censored very well. Eddie Levert was too comfortable. Lol!!! I Enjoyed the show and I think the mistakes will be edited out. I think BET did a great job and worked very hard to make a great show and Honor Micheal Jackson.

Shaking my head at most of these comments. Are you close minded are what??? Then again there is that saying “everyone is entitled to their opinion”.

That show was entertaining because it showed how low black music has sunken. Most of those people are not even talented anymore. They’re just their because of their affiliations. It looked like a junior high school talent show where all the students play dress up in commemoration of one person and do terrible renditions of that person’s music. Pathetic, lol. The reason why Beyonce sang “Ave Maria” is because that was a ritualistic ode to the Queen of Heaven a.k.a. Ishstar, Venus, Diana, Isis, etc….the moon goddess basically, who is also the goddess of the worship of the female, and feminism. This is why Beyonce calls herself a “diva”, which is Latin for “goddess”. She played the moon goddess, who is of course, the wife and consort of the sun god, Osiris/Ra. Jay-Z represents Osiris/Ra, which is why he throws up the “roc sign”, which is the pyramid with the eye of Osiris/Ra “shining” through. That was the point of her performance. She is praising her own “godesshood” as a physical manifestation of Isis. The marriage of Jay-Z and Beyonce is, in my view, figurative and representative, not literal. Michael Ealy is in the video to run interference for the being that she is really praising, which is Lucifer. That is why the sun also plays a prominent character in the video. the show was ok given the time they had to put it together. the sad thing is you know MTV will have a tribute show that will be banggin! They will have Usher and possibly Chris Brown. Not sure about Chris because the “public” may not be ready. But mark my word MTV is going to do it up big. That show was definitely NOT the best. I liked all the tributes to Michael Jackson and what-not but overall the show was lame. They didn’t even announce that Ciara was going to perform or anything. Beyonce did great as usual but she should’ve chose a single she came out with. Drake was great (sexy too lol) but if he hadn’t torn his ACL, trust that performance would’ve been hotter. I did like when Bell Biv Devoe came out. Keyshia Cole did okay and Monica did so well. Jamie & T-Pain did okay. Anything else was just blah. They need to just re-work the whole show especially for next year since it’s going to be the ten-year anniversary of the BET Awards. They need to get old hosts back and the performances need to be even crazier.

The snippets of Ne-Yo and Ciara singing some of Michael’s greatest ballad’s were GREAT! and New Editions intro reminded us of what the Jackson family has done for Black America, but why is it that all the members of New Edition are young than many in the Jackson five yet they were dancing and singing like they were older?? lol

Keri Hilson, I am a fan of her cd however she is not a performer and should never get on stage again. She was trying way to hard.

This show was kinda dry but it did have some parts to it.

Maxwell- Loved his performance
Keyshia and Monica- Awesome job, but its no secret that Monica is a better vocalist

Okay, Jamie as a host was a bad idea…although he is an extremely talented he went a little over board w/ the jokes and was pushing he CD and tour waay to much. I think a MJ tribute should have been a whole other show as opposed to being mixed in w/ the BET awards. BET needs to do better!! I enjoyed the pre show more than the actually show, which is sad seeing as though Hurricane Chris performed that dumb ass song. What a waste, and an all around failure on BET behalf. Its totally understandable why MJ didn’t do too much w/ BET. The award winners are always predictable and the same foul language is always permitted. I think I’m ganna roll w/ “The Boondocks” and call BET, ETV (Evil [entertainment] Television).

The BET awards was decent considering they had so little time to change everything. It wasn’t half as bad as I expected it to be.

Side Bar: Why do artist perform the dirty or explicit versions of their songs when they know they are on National TV. I am on the West Coast so by the time everything aired here half the songs were bleeped out. It’s so tacky! And I am going to assume Lil Wayne’s song was explicit since I only heard about 4 or 5 words the whole time he was on stage, what was the point of having children in the background dancing. My sister watched it at her friends house who has direct Tv and she said the song was not appropriate for children.

Unfortunately this is the state of the music industry right now. Good idea to salute the great MJ but the talent today just doesn’t measure up. The standout moments were Neyo, Maxwell, Tyrese and the great O’jays. Lastnite’s show should’ve featured ALL Michael Jackson music. If they could’nt pull off the right talent they should’ve canceled the show . Why use Tevin Campbell to sing a Ojay’s song when he could’ve sang his hit song “Tomorrow” as a tribute to Michael.

I said it once and I will say it again, BET messed up several times last night and you can tell who BET let persuade them one way or the other. For instance, why was the Best Female R&B Artist category clip shown when all others weren’t (surprise Beyonce won). Secondly, Jamie Foxx escorted her off the stage so she can see Jay Z perform??? Why is that a big deal? Who really cares about the Carters at this point? NOBODY and how did BET allow Beyonce and Jay Z that much control? Jay Z stopped Chris Brown from performing and Matthew stopped Le Toya Luckett from performing on the same stage as Beyonce WTF? That’s why Beyonce almost slipped and fell at the end of her performance, God don’t like ugly. And their performance and songs had nothing to do with Michael Jackson’s tribute. Also, I was disappointed in Lil Wayne who allowed those little girls on the stage to dance to a song disrespecting women (?). Some comments Jamie Foxx made were inappropriate; although he kept the show going and performed greatly; why did he perform 3 or 4 times? Somebody else could have performed a Michael Jackson song. I think the artist should have stuck with Michael Jackson’s songs all night. The show seemed rushed and not well put together. BET could have come out better doing a second show for Michael and his family. I hate Janet had to show up to some mess but it was great to see her representing for her family, nonetheless. Love the Jacksons, true class through and through… Although I saw Beyonce ignoring Joe Jackson like the plague. I guess he reminded her of their (Solange and Kelly, yes Kelly, nobody can tell me any differently) dad Matthew Knowles (lol). Nice try BET you did make strides with New Edition, BBD, the O’ Jay’s tribute, Jamie Foxx as the host, The 90’s Acts, and the King of Pop tributes (what happened to Usher, Chris Brown, Kanye, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Jennifer Hudson, Brandy, Patti LaBelle, Aretha, Whitney Houston and etc…?)… Did you use all of your sources? Please make this up to the community by doing another Michael Jackson Tribute show; in an appropriate time when his family can come to participate.

Awsome show from rehearsels till show day!I luv everybody for trying and paying their respects and changing the show up at the last minute! Monica killed everything,she sings so effortlessly, and I realized it even more,she doesnt SELL or SHOW out! SHe is the living legandary truth! I turned the show off after a while because I couldn’t take Jamie Foxx. Sorry but he wasn’t funny. I usually like Beyonce performance but what was she thinking? That wasn’t a good look for her on the show. She should have kept that on her stage at her concerts. Don’t know what Keri was doing. Look like she was rocking Elvis moves towards the end. I didn’t bother watching C-error’s performance.

I think Jamie Foxx did a great job as did Neyo. Maxwell is back! That’s all I have to say about that. I think that the men of my era did a great job paying homage to the O’jays a group in my mother’s era, as did the O’jays singing their own songs they looked & sounded great. I almost forgot it was Keyshia’s song because Monica sang the heck out of it as if it were her own its def time for her to come back. So disappointed in Ciara’s performance out of all the times not to do what you’re known for which is dancing she decides to sing totally clueless about that. Now I love my girl Bey but what the Hell did she have on? I thought her outfit was totally inappropriate for that song. I’m still sitting here wondering where the hell was the MJ tribute? I enjoyed watching Neyo perform but MJ deserved way more than that. BET is going to let the other station award shows give him a proper send off and I’m disgusted with them. I understand it was only 4 days but the artists that were present could have done a tribute. I mean when Ginuwine 1st came out he swore he was Michael not to mention he was on MJ’s label why wasn’t he apart of the tribute?
Where was Usher, Chris Brown, Omarion, for that matter Justin Timberlake? I would’ve rather them show footage of him throughout the show & allow the people to share their moments last night & then give him a proper tribute in the weeks to come.

Overall I think the show was ok for having a few days to rearrange things which if you’ve ever worked in productioin can be a freaking mess. So props to BET for trying.

I have to agree with most everyone that although they (BET) had to change the show on short notice, most of it was awful and an embarrassment to the legacy of Michael Jackson. It was so random and silly when it came to some of the performances. For me Neyo was good, Tevin Cambell was wonderful , Keke Palmer was good (who new), Maxwell, Monica rocked it, beautiful voices, Janet had great strength to come out and speak, the rest of it, what the hell!!!!!!!! One more thing, why was Joe Jackson promoting record company and new acts when Michael hasn’t even been funeralized yet, I’m beginning to believe the horror stories about him, lawd BET, get it together, you have been aroung too long to present a mess like you did last night.

My sis made a very good point. Ppl were saying Bey couldn’t sing so this was ALLLLL about her proving that she could sing. Is this song on her new CD? It was ALL about her and this was a show/tribute to MJ. And I wasn’t impressed with the singing. And the looks on the audience faces showed they weren’t impressed either. And Keri & Keyshia were cheated out of awards.

Good effort.I think they did okay considering they only had a few days to redo the who show. I believe New Edition should have sung another MJ song or use their natural voice. Ne-Yo, Jamie Foxx and Janet saved the tribute.

These awards were a trashy mess. Aint no other way to put it. Everyone on the radio this morning agreed. Why are impressionable people saying most aren’t familiar with “Ave Maria?” Are you kidding me? Before people started tripping about religion in school, it was a standard in public school music programs! Elementary school programs, people! SMH! And how many times have we heard that songs in documentaries, in movies, in sitcoms? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The problem with Beyonce’s performance was that she sounded BAD, it was self-indulgent and ODD and so uncomfortable, seeing her trying to sing in Spanish when she can’t even speak English. “Oiiiivvvvvaaaaeee Maaaeedddddddddrrhheeeeaaa” Really? lol

To say the least, I was disappointed by the show. It was not a tribute to Michael Jackson, it was a tribute to what is wrong in Black Entertainment! To have lil’ wayne,et al… up there singing a song that was sooooooo disrespectful, and having young women up there dancing to it, was a disgrace! Just a lesson to the execs at BET….if you have to bleep out more than 5 words from a song, please, please do not let that artist perform on your show!!! Either do a radio friendly version, or none at all!

Secondly, Jaime…I love ya, but you were doing the most! I don’t know if the writers, teleprompters, assistants, or the persons in charge did not relay cues to you when you were live, inform you of who was coming up next, or if you needed to stretch, but you seemed ill prepared. The fact that you had to sing 3 songs, when the show added an half hour, was too much! If there weren’t other options or talented acts available, maybe you should have dropped the “Blame it on the Alcohol” considering the occassion. P.S. Mike belonged to the world, not just Black people! I was embarrassed by that comment.

Also, New Edition….I’m going to ask you to work on your vocals more. Heck, that can go for Aaron Hall, BBD, Keri Hilson, and Ciara. If Ciara wanted to be a part of the tribute, why not let her dance? That is what she does best! Sitting on a stool singing a song she can not sing, it only exposes her. Let her shine and also do a tribute by celebrating his DANCE!!!!! He was the best at it! Pay homage to that! Why wasn’t there a real dance tribute??

And lastly…..why pay tribute to a horrible movie!!! Baby Boy is not a movie even worth watching again, yet alone giving it juice! I can only hope the little representation of other Blacks who are successful without a mic, a ball, or a “big a** chain” are highlighted more by our community. I must say that the BET Awards this year was VERY enjoyable to watch for a laugh because some of the stuff that took place throughout the night was VERY off the wall but as far as a “tribute” goes to the King of Pop…WOW!!! DEFINATELY could have been better…for one instead of them rushing and scrambling for SO many different performers to perform they should of just kept it simple and started off with a tribute to MJ in the begging, a little something something in the middle a prestigious award for Honor to the Jackson family on MJ’s behalf and then a GRAND finale at the end of the show. Now as far as the performances go i was BORED because this year it just seemed to be SO dry in that area. NO ONE caught my attention like they did in previous years BUT i do give props to Beyonce for doing a remade version of the old church-opera song Ave Marie because it showed that she can be VERY versatile and different when it comes to performing and it showed the other artist in the room that if they ever want to be on MJ’s level someday that they need variety and i give her props for that especially for her doing it in a different language and i DONT even like Beyonce!! but overall on her performance was a FAIL especially with the crazy wedding dress like WTF beyonce? This aint ya wedding!! But anywho i think the awards werent THAT bad BUT it DEFINATELY could be better as black people today i feel we are looked at and assumed to act like ghetto, mindless fools but we ARE SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT are we not?? It was really Disappointing that Chris brown didn’t perform…

The show was really Boring…

I only saw today con Youtube that the Old guy (Don Cornelius) that was talking realllyyyy slow was the man that interviewed and introduced the Jackson 5 whenever they appeared on Soul Train…

That tomfoolery was a waste of about 3 hours and 25, cause I’m gonna give ‘em 20 minutes of good television. To me, it would have been more respectful to just show a montage of MJ footage as tribute with the Ne-Yo performance during the awards and then have a separate show as a tribute later, when you could get more worthy artists to perform. New Edition was horrible and Bobby Brown, in particular, was so inappropriate with all that gyrating and tongue wagging!

I did enjoy Maxwell, The O’Jays (and the tribute part of their segment w/ Tyrese, Trey Songz, and Johnny Gill). The Martin & Jamie Foxx “movie” trailer was funny. Janet Jackson made me emotional. Other than that the show was WHACK! Jamie Foxx was self promoting and kind of annoying (especially with so many performances– when he’s not that great a singer!). Jay-Z was okay, but they made way too big a deal about him being about to perfom. They need to re-vamp the show (better award categories and nominees and better performances).

BET needs to step out of their teeny bopper box. The same folks perfom every year. Why couldn’t we get Jazmine Sullivan, Chrisette Michelle, Musiq Soulchild or something on the show. I’m sick of seeing Lil Wayne’s a$$, both literally and figuratively!

To call that show a tribute to the greatest entertainer of my lifetime was horrendous! Hope someone else does a better one soon!

The BET Awards was an incredible disappointment. I feel as if I had hours of my life robbed from me in the hopes that SOMEBODY, ANYBODY qould do MJ right.. I personally feel that Jamie Foxx’s used this as a platform to plug his upcoming tour and that was totally the wrong place or the time for all that. It seemed even at one point that he didnt even know that thee cameras were on and that this was live.

Monica can singer better than both of them to me, but her performance didn’t move me that much either. Beyonce is a very good singer (great tone), but she’s nothing great to me. She’s no J.Hud or Christina Aguilera that’s for sure.

Seeing all of these comments about how stupid and irrelevant Beyonce’s performance was shows how alot of African Americans aren’t exposed to different cultures and music. Just as something that is done outside of the “norm”, it is deemed boring or a horrible performance.

It’s ridiculous how she has more comments than Michael Jackson and his legacy.

BTW, BET isnt the only music channel that depicts minorities in a horrible light. MTV and VH1 does the same thing. Flavor of Love? Gotti’s Way? Making the Band? All of these shows gives a horrible depiction of how black people act. I would even say these channels are worse for the black community than BET because these channels have a steady flow of naive, young viewers, particularly white ones, who actually believe that all black people act the way as the do in these “reality” tv shows. Even if BET changed it’s whole format to a more positive way, these other channels will still be an issue.

Beyonce - For what the performance was she sounded amazing but I’m use 2 see’n Sasha on stage at the BET Awards which is why I’m mad at the tribute cuz guaranteed if Michael didn’t die she wudda did Ego or Single Ladies!!!

Keyshia Cole and Monica - Monica outdid Keyshia point blank!!!!

Keri Hilson - Horrible performer cuz she cant sing when she dances so she sounded horrible!

Drake - Did good by himself on “Best I Ever Had” but it was very wrong to have those lil girls on stage during “Every Girl”

KeKe Palmer - Always could sing, I bought her 2007 album “So Uncool”

Ciara - I loooooove her but not a very good performance. She shudda danced for Michael but surprisingly her vocals were stronger den I expected! LOL!

YOU DID NOT PAY HIM ANY RESPECTS WHEN HE WAS ALIIVE AND GIVE HIM A TRIBUTE DURING THE LAST EIGHT YEARS YOU HAVE BROADCASTED THE SHOW SO WHY DO SOMETHING THAT IS NOT OF COMPLETE EXCELLENCE?

HOWEVER, I did not think the show was great, but it did not suck completely.

Ne-yo was excellent and I am not that much of a fan, he has a few good songs, and i loved his 1st album, Lady In My Life was beautifully done, he should record that on his next album.
