THE LEGENDARY Michael Jackson has passed away at the age of 50. The King of Pop suffered cardiac arrest early Thursday afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. According to reports, when the paramedics arrived to his home Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family at this terrible time.

Wow this is soooo sad!!!!
@SUZIEBLUE
And to think we were talking about him the other day in that post…
@ 187 mojo
…..also MTV, at that time would not play black music videos. Michael opened that door, they had no choice, Michael was so hot and popular they had to play his videos.
This has got to be the saddest day ever we lost two famous celeberties Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson may you guys rest in peace.
So unreal. He inspired anyone who is a Singer.Dancer or Writer… Especially me…
He inspired anyone regardless of the ethnicity, age or background…
Whether your 10,20 or 60. Indian,black,hispanic. Hindu or White…
here will on be one MJ… You are not alone…
God Bless. MJ and Family x
the news people are cruel and are exacerbating the situation, each time they mention child molester, I get so upset, he was found not guilty folks let him be in peace. The radio station in my area jokingly said that he died because he wasn’t able to go to the children’s hospital. Can you believe that? Such cruelty in this world!!!!
R.I.P. Michael Jackson. No one could ever compare to your influence of music. From black to white, from the U.S. to Asia, from young to old, your music is listened to by all. The King of Music, who music will forever remain timeless.
I’m tryna stop cryin…this is unbelievable…the king of pop NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
RIP MJ…u will NEVER be forgotten!
I LOVE YOU MIKE….REAST IN PEACE……………

I can’t believe this.
Love you Michael Jackson, you wilL be truly missed.
LOVE YOU , LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU
THE KING OF POP
Michael Jackson, A REAL ICON, has passed. You know we now define anyone as an icon simply because their relevant now, but Jackson, a true icon, was able to make himself irrelevant while remaining relevant. He did not have to perform in 20 different states because his legacy spoke for itself. He could literally not make a track for 20 to 30 years, and still remain in the public’s thoughts. This is why I continually combat our quickness to assign current entertainers the title, “Icon,” instead of letting them truly become one. Jackson’s home has just be called the new Graceland, he had something else that a REAL ICON has, a defining moment. When I hear young people call some of these current entertainers icons it bothers me because they do not have a defining moment. Jackson had MULTIPLE. He had his era with the Jackson 5, but most importantly, he had “Thriller.” “Thriller,” even by today’s standards is unbeatable. When these young people, have defining moments such as these, then, and only then will they be ICONS. In the mean time, stop doing history an injustice by simply giving the title those who are relevant for just this time only.
It is such a sad day. May you rest in PEACE. They can’t harm you no more. See how the press circling like a pack of wolves already. Thoughts are with the family.
R.I.P
i’m really feelin some type of way about all this, i promise u all, i was off of work today runnin errands listening to michael jackson on my ipod in my car. i played damn near every song he made today and blasted it with the windows down. i kid u not, my ipod battery died around 6 or so and i had to turn on the radio, all i heard were michael jackson songs so i’m thinkin damn they groovin with me, but then they cut the music to announce the confirmation of his death. i’m so hurt right now it’s beyond my being. i’m not a stan or anything but i’m talkin since age 3 back in 84, all i knew was michael jackson and apple juice. to this day , it’s the same thing, lol. i hope and pray to God that michael has accepted christ as his lord and savior and that his soul is at peace. i pray for his family as well.
that man will ALWAYS be imitated but NEVER duplicated….
I knew when this day came I would be sad, but I never thought I’d be this crushed. I had to change my screen name out of respect for this post. One of last real American Icon has gone home. He literally change the musical landscape forever with just 3 albums. For my generation (80s babies) there is none higher. I love him and he will be missed.
whilst i’m watching the news, i keep on hoping that someone is gonna say ‘false alarm’. i’m really shocked and unbelievably saddened. there can only be one michael jackson. Rest In Peace Michael. You will be missed
I was born in the year he released Thriller. I still remember my cousin playing that cd back to back. He is the greatest artist of all time. Inasmuch as people want to focus on the negative media, MJ was a meek and sincere person. Amost all the artists posted on CL wouldnt be who they are if it weren’t for him. He was truely talented and had an enormous impact on our culture and music.
RT: MJ died the 25th , Aaliyah died the 25th, Static Major died the 25th, Left Eye the 25th too, James Brown 12/25 ..WOW!
I love you Michael!
No matter what people say about him, he was the best!
RIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP King of Pop
Can’t believe it, the death of a legend. MJ you will be missed! There will never be another like you, EVER! No one can compare. Luv u Michael xx
I LAUGHED AND TOLD MY SISTER IT WASN’T FUNNY WHEN SHE CALLED ME AND GAVE ME THE NEWS EARLIER. THAT’S HOW MUCH I DIDN’T BELIEVE THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED.
I AM 20 YEARS OLD AND I KNOW HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT THAT MICHAEL HAS HAD ON THE WORLD, FANS (SO MUCH THAT YOU LITERALLY COULDN’T FIND 12 PEOPLE IN THE WORLD WHO WOULD TESTIFY AGAINST THE MAN IN COURT), AND EVEN THE BIGGEST SUPERSTARS OF OUR TIME (CIARA, CHRIS BROWN, USHER, ETC.), SO I COULDN’T EVEN START TO IMAGINE WHAT WORDS COULD COME OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF MY PARENTS TO DESCRIBE HOW MUCH MICHAEL JACKSON IMPACTED THE WORLD.
THIS TRULY HAS TO BE THE BIGGEST LOSS TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY PERIOD.
hes telling JESUS all about it…. R.I.P. love you….
Thanks Angel I know everyone is entitled to their own opionion but he/her was way outta line! Just tacky!
Still cant believe this….RIP Michael Jackson. Prayers to his family.
Was he on pills!! I keep hearing that on TV……..Really loved you man RIP
Micheal Jackson was the best ever!!!!!!!! RIP.
In my childhood, Michael was my favorite entertainer and I remember trying to copy his moves while I learned how to dance. His music was that which not only entertained oneself but also inspired the soul. He was definitely admired by everyone worldwide and his musical inspiration can be heard in just about every genre of music worldwide.
He was not without his faults and I do not think that we, as the public, should let it be used to tatter his image. I believe that the people who accused him of all sorts of salacious activities were most likely users and posers from the fact that Michael seemed childlike in his demeanor and they had the opportunity to make money from tearing down his image. I think it is unfortunate that they have most likely gotten away with such false accusations and we, as the public, have not been given the opportunity for Michael or someone in his camp/family to repudiate these false accusations. To be honest, I am not even sure how guilty or innocent Michael is obviously from the fact that I and also we never knew him personally. Yet, I just do not feel as if he was all the way guilty.
His own personal self loathing was evident by the way he dramatically altered his appearances over the years. Exactly what type of image Michael edified completely beats me and I feel empathy for him for that because people/comics/entertainer used it to pass jokes and degrade Michael’s image. I do or would like to believe that he had vitiligo which would account for the reason he bleached his skin. Whereas the obvious routine plastic surgeries, I would account that as a Hollywood trend because the vast majority of celebrities have done it, even those celebrities whose surgeries might seem subtle to you and you would not have expected to have had plastic surgery. Yet I would not fault him for that.
As for his children, I feel sorry that they lost their father at such a young age even though they are financially set for life. Regarding whether or not they are Michael’s biological children, it is obvious that they are not. This would not change the relationship that Michael had with his children because at the end of the day Michael is the man cared for them as their father and we should let it be as such. From a technical point, they are not Michael’s children by examining two important factors which include their hair and noses. These are big give away clues as to the races of these children. The children seem to have very fine straight hair and much, much narrower noses. Mixed raced children/people where one parent has greater Negro features would at least have curly not very fine black hair, medium to narrow sized noses and even permanent tanned like skin tones.
At the end of the day, Michael will be remembered for his contribution to music and his effort to spread the language of peace around the world. I do not think we would see another entertainer with such talent. My hope is that children/people out there somewhere will be inspired by Michael’s message of peace and try to bring peace to our world.
25 is bad number
Aaliyah, left eye, Beatrice Arthur, James Brown and Michael Jackson all died on the 25th day of the month.
Im shocked by this tragic news.
RIP Michael Jackon
We love you Micheal! Rip
C’est trop triste !!
Le Roi de la pop est mort !! R.I.P
R.I.P Michael forever will be missed and never forgotten!
Not my own opinion copied from elsewhere

Michael Jackson was a tragically sad individual.
Say what you want, the man was severely abused as a child, and went on to retreat completely into his fantasy world, where he’d never have to grow up or face what happened to him. His wealth allowed him to surround himself with yes-people who never questioned him, and never encouraged him to seek help. He alienated the people who truly cared about him, because they reminded him of his hurtful, negative past.
The real tragedy came when he went on to perpetuate the cycle of abuse with other children, whom he did truly, truly love … but not in an age-appropriate manner. He really saw himself as a child, and wanted so desperately to be one again, that he fell in love with everything about young children.
I’m not defending pedophilia, I find what he did to be wrong and not at all appropriate … but the only thing I can find myself feeling about his whole situation is sadness.
He was an extraordinarily talented individual, and it’s sad that all of the allegations and atrocities that came out of the 90′s will eclipse all of that. He gave us some industry-changing music, some of the best pop-music of all time.
This whole situation is just really, really awful.
“A willow deeply scarred, / Somebody’s broken heart, / And a washed-out dream. / They follow the pattern of / The wind, you see, / Cause they’ve got no place / To be / That’s why I’m starting with me …” — “Man In The Mirror”
He was one of the biggest inspirations of our lives. We will never forget him. There will never be a man like Michael Jackson. I know alot of friends that tell me that are inspired by him 100%. I am inspired by him alot. So I am crying alot already. Michael has been the greatest musician of all time. There will never be another musician like him. Thank you God for giving us Michael Jackson.
Oh my heart goes out to his kids. M.J. I hope you were at peace with your Savior before you passed. We will miss you
I’m still crying; I CANT BELIEVE THIS;
there will never be another michael jackson.i thank you god that i got to grow up on his music.you will be missed mike
Rest in Peace, Michael! Your music and your memory will live on forever!!!!
I can’t believe how much I am crying right now!! It’s as if I lost a family member! RIP Michael. I love you and will miss you greatly!
A really sad day I hope he rests in peace now… Gosh I have been crying… I never thought he would die…
I hope the useless media and some of the haters that tore him down are happy with themselves…
Rest in Peace.
Rest In Peace to the Legendary Michael Jackson. My thoughts and prayers most definitely go out to all of his loved ones.
I’m still in shock its like I don’t really believe it, but I know its true?? I just have no words I’m not like a casual fan I am obsessed with michael. My mum was just reming me the othe day that when I was 3yrs old I said 2 my nursery teacher “I’m going to marry michael jackson” and she said “by the time your old enough to get married he’ll be an old man” it makes me smile 2 think about it, honestly it hasn’t sunk in it will take me a few days maybe til his funeral but I just don’t believe it. I actually just pinched myseld 2 make sure I wasn’t sleeping, I still feel like I’m in a trance.
I used to say this all the time and I’ll say it again, I hate the press for what they did to him and are still doing to him in death. I’m watching the news and it sickens me that they keep mentioning those charges which he was aquitted of.
*deep breath* I’m in denial, his poor babies they adored him
Rest In Peace Micheal!!!
You will ALWAYS be the BEST!!!!
It’s almost like the music industry and world alike has lost a superhero of sorts. He was a flawed man but to deny his presence and his talent would be a disservice. It’s Unfortunate that his comeback will never be seen but his legacy will certainly live on for years to come. I’m 16 and I know one of the very first albums I ever bought was a MJ album and I have it to this day. Very sad three pop culture icons have passed within a week.
RIP MJ, Farrah, and Ed McMahon
the historically secular entertainer this earth has birthed.
We shouldn’t be sad that he’s gone , we should be happy he lived!
RIP MJ.
BROKENHEARTED! TEARS ROLLING DOWN MY FACE! I LOVE YOU ALWAYS MICHAEL! R.I.P. PRAYERS TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
The last great entertainer has passed away. No one can take his place and no will ever take his place. The only thing people can do now is gather inspiration from him. This sad day in music is a wake up call to all artists in the music field. Now that Mike is gone Artist are forced to become real entertainers and original since they have no one to copy. I’m only 24 but I doubt I will see anyone in my life time that will compare to Micheal Jackson. My heart goes out to the whole Jackson family and the rest of the world that is effected by this. I live in the I.E. and I’m traveling to L.A. w/ my best friend to pay my respects to the last true artist/ entertainer. My his soul RIP w/ the likes of James Brown, The Temptations and all the other great artist that has left the earth before MJ!
@ KAthy, that is the day we celebrate the birth of Christ! This has me thinking. I know all of them are in a much better place then here on Earth with so much hatred and evil! Micheal Jakson was a legend and the other were also great entertainers as well. God is taking his people! RIP Micheal!
I’m 48 years old. I’ve been to ONLY 1 concert in my life. Micheal and the Jackson at Comisky Field in Chicago in 1984. A legend, trailblazer etc….today’s young musicans like Justin timberlake, Usher, Ginuwine, Omarion, Chris Brown, Usher, Bow-wow, Back street Boys, etc…….. owe Micheal Big time. Thanks to Micheal……RIP
Michael Jackson is OUR Elvis. Before Mariah, before madonna, before usher, before neyo, before chris brown, before Beyonce.
Michael Jackson is Incredible. I will Miss him. I love him, I don’t care what Negative thangs they say. Elvis and Jerry Lee lewis did their dirt. But people realize the Beauty of their music. JANET JACKSON WE LOVE U
Michael Lives on. Forever. I loved his music, I got to meet him, and he was and INCREDIBLE ENTERTAINER.
BET: please give him the tribute he deserves. Usher, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Neyo. please.
RIP MICHAEL. YOU ARE THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER. I LOVE YOU.
I am so mad, there will never be another Michael Jackson…..there will never be another artist to sell 109 million copies of one album.
Yeah, funny how everybody acting so heartbroken, yet when the man was alive, he was the butt of endless jokes, by not only others, but BLACK FOLKS…no loyalty like i said….Michael and Janet are legends, but look how yall treat them. Talk about them like they aint shyt on these blogs, don’t go out and buy their music, etc. White people don’t dog out elvis, they impersonate him and still call him the king. But not black people, can’t appreciate people until something like this happens. Now everybody want to cry over him, but any other day, if he were posted here, he’d be the butt of everybody’s jokes. It always takes a loss for people to appreciate someone, when he should have been appreciated when he was here. Glad i never bought into that bull….i stayed faithful to my legend Michael Jackson..
No one can, and ever will replace him….I feel the same way about Janet….Janet and Michael were pioneers in this industry….yet everyday, some of yall dumb black azzes be on here talking all type of shyt about them, not supporting their music, easily replacing them with these bullshyt artists of today.
I might be very emotional right now when i say this, but for all those on here who made jokes about him, i hope your azz feel guilty as phuck. No real love for these people and no loyalty…black people are rarely loyal, easily led away and impressed by the newest, shiniest, richest, thing…..for all those who mades jokes about mike, please kiss my azz…And for those who might say this isn’t the time or place for this comment, it’s exactly the time and place…beause this is where you guys endlessly, brutally, malign this man, making jokes and talking a bunch of crap…it’s the right time because you should think about how you treated a person when they were alive, and hopefully you can adjust your actions to appreciate those in your life now, realize people are human and have feelings. I feel Michael Jackson, for all he accomplished in this lifetime of 50 years, deserved way more loyalty and respect that he got from BLACK PEOPLE…it was expected of others races, cause they were jealous of him anyway, looking for a flaw.
Love you Mike, RIP! You were the best male entertainer on this planet. None of your many copycats out today can, or ever will surpass you.
RIP Michael. You will me missed…This just seems unreal. I pray for his family and his children.
Micheal did what he was suppose to do here on earth. He know longer has to deal with all the drama that he had to deal with over the last 10 plus years…be joyful that now he is in peace and harmony.
I, along with other across our globe, and shocked at the sudden death of an American icon, Michael Jackson. There is and never will be such a brilliant. talented, and genius entertainer like him. I thank God that I grew up with him and his family’s music, watching them on shows such as Carol Burnett, Ed Sullivan, and American Bandstand. They also had a cartoon named after them. Michael brought the real meaning to entertainment and talent – not like the pseudo mess you hear today.
MJ, you will be so missed brother. RIP, and may his children, family and friends find peace during this time.
@@@@@jscene
I totally agree with you, only two weeks ago we had a Micheal Jackson post and some of these same posters were posting negative things about the man funny how it takes the death of a person to appreciate them…
I have always defended Micheal and I hope this is a lesson to us black folks we should not tear ourselves down to make ourselves feel better…
