You would like to see her rocking some dreads or a fro? Thats not her style she’s been wearing her hair like that for years. One good thing about black women is that they can switch up their style to just about anything. But afros and dreads arent the only thing that shows our “roots”. Maybe she’d like to see you stop hating!

Oh no, she actually sung? I thought we established already that her voice is mediocore. Every time I see her, she always has on too much makeup or too much weave. She looks fake… seriously, fake eyelashes, bright barbie lipstick, a load of foundation, she needs to ease up on the makeup ( as do many female celebs) but if she did, she would look even worse. I’ve been tired of her it’s just annoying to see posts of her because she aint even relevant in the music biz anymore. It’s funny how y’all clown Cassie for sleeping with Diddy to get in the biz (which is okay) but then don’t even remember when Irv admitted that him and Ashanti fooled around when she was in the process of being signed.

Can I just say although I do not love Ashanti’s make up choices, so over the 1980s reds, pinks and sometimes that dreadful orange, she has the best weaves. Recently pictures of Kelly R-, Beyonce and others (even my girl Si Si and Venus) have surfaced and I am like your hair is a mess, so I say this with much love, you all need to look at Ashanti and get that weave tight. She is doing it right. I know that was a long way to give someone a compliment but most the time I am not feeling the artist, celebs, people of know talent etc, I am not a follower but a leader so I am not going to love people just because they are famous or hate you just cuz you famous. I love Ashanti and although no one can replace Stephanie Mill’s version, she did a great job. For all you hater’s talking about her outfit, that is her costume for “The Wiz”, not an outfit that she would regularly wear. People should really go and see it before they comment about her vocal ability. Its much better live. I have always been a fan and can admit that I was a little doubtful that she was able to pull it off, but she proved me wrong.

I can say one thing, for her to have all these hater’s, she continues to do her thing with a smile on her face and her head held high. That is what women do and she does a great job at not letting people bring her down. Her song “shine” reflects how she keeps going.

Keep going Ashanti. The Declaration was a good album and her writing skills are sick. Even haters can not question her writing abilities. I think she should write more for other artist because many people have great voices but nothing to say.
