I think Drake is actually a talented guy…even though a lot of his music sounds like other rappers out now (mostly Lil’ Wayne.) I liked his music back in ‘07 when he was mostly doing work with Trey Songz and artists like that. I think he was more original back then, but that’s usually the case when no one knows you. haha.

And as far as his looks go, I don’t think he’s a bad looking dude, he used to be worse on Degrassi in the earlier years!

I’ma have to say that he has definitely put some interest back into hip/hop as a new and upcoming artist, but he is not the answer by far. He sings in auto-tune, though he can carry a note, it’s always the same pitch I wonder what he really sounds like without using it. His flow is not extraordinary, puts me in the mind of Wayne and/or Kanye on some of the songs. It’s nice to have an artist who can switch between both since we haven’t had one male anyways (unless you want to count Mos Def which I don’t really) since the days of Lauryn Hill, and possibly Queen Latifah. I’m anxious to hear what the album will sound like, but I saw some of his live performances on YouTube and they were seriously lacking.

I first heard this dude on this very website a few years back when he was featured on lloyld’s track…I thought he was average at best…I think he had another song that concreteloop posted but i still wasnt impressed..I just remember him as some actor turned rapper…..NOW it seems everybody is screaming his name, without even hearing is music…wow the power of the corporate machine…I wish him much success…!

I agree that the man has a certain level of talent, if that’s actually him writing, but yes this media blitz makes things very suspicious. Whenever an “artist” is publicized to this degree before he/she has made money for anyone, it is because they are receiving backing. Their sponsors have big plans for the artist and big agendas to propagate through the artist. This is why I call them witches, which is what they are, because they are used to cast spells. He may be Boule, I doubt it though. If anything he may be just a vessel to be used to get the “goyim” (the gentiles) to be more wicked. I saw a video in which he claimed his “Jewishness” very hard, even bragging about his knowledge of the Torah and that he was Bar Mitzvahed. Many people do not understand that the reason why the so-called Jews run the entertainment industry is because they use it to destroy the societies of the other races through getting them to accept immorality as morality. In this way, they feel as if they can maintain a “leg up” over the other races, which is also related to the issue in Iran that # 17 mentioned. This is why the record execs tell the rappers what they can rap about and what they can’t, what the track listings are, who their “demographics” are, etc. This music is used to encourage whoredom amongst the black woman, gangsterism amongst the black man, and a worship of money amongst both (which they also happen to print and control through the Federal Reserve).

I’ve actually been listening to Drake since around early 2007, and I think he’s incredibly humble and talented. To everyone who is saying “He came out of no where” or “his music sucks”
you all do not follow this artist like others do. His earlier mixtapes went unnoticeable && they were much better than the commercial stuff being played on the radio. Now he’s getting the recognition he deserves && everyone has their comments. His first mixtape came out in 2006, so the ‘coming out of no where’ thing, obviously is not valid. The comments saying ‘what’s all the hype’ 1.) He’s Canadian. Even though that’s pretty close to the U.S. it’s hard getting your music played hear when you are a citizen. 2.) He is unsigned && making collaborations with Lil Wanye, one of the most sought after rappers in the business now && it’s just been announced that Kanye West will be directing the video for his single “Best I Ever Had”. To make this much noise without having an official label && to not have an album out, is amazing. If you can’t grasp that, you clearly don’t keep up much
