In these handout photos provided by AEG/Concerts West, Michael Jackson and choreographer/director Kenny Ortega rehearse for the ‘This Is It’ tour on May 6th in Burbank, California.
Michael was working hard on his “This Is It” comeback tour, which was set to begin next month, before his unexpected death.
Ticket Promoters are now deciding what to do with these dates. Some are speculating that they will have celebrities do a memorial tour for those concert dates in MJ’s honor.

#60- LMAO
I think in the amount of time they had, they did OK. It could’ve been a lot better and I really hope they put together a real tribute. Neyo was amazing, though.
I’m still in shock and partly in denial over this whole situation. I hope the media (real media) continues to honor MJ’s legacy and respect him for the true icon and genius he really IS. Because we all know sh!t is about to get really ugly. We can’t let them tear MJ down.
Angel-Love the background!!
Did yall notice Micheal died 25th of June, Aaliyah da 25 of August, Left Eye the 25th of April, and James Brown 25th, of December… :0 Um, i think famous black entertainers need to beware of the 25th…
Thats weird. RIP to them all
Michael Jackson We miss you and love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just want to see if my new pic shows up.
I love you Michael!!!!!!!
I Love You Mike!
all I have to say is WHO IN THE HELL TOLD CIARA TO SING!
M.J. you will be miss…..God open his arms and you enter…. with a song in your heart.
@XIII: It is not you alone sweetheart. Michael was not suppose to die. I mean yes we are all going to go, but Gone To Soon. I miss him sooooooooooo much. The world stood still when the tragic news got out. I will NEVER stop missing him, his genius, his ICON his legend.
Michael: I wish you could be here to see how YOU brought the world to its knees.
LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! MISSING YOU FOREVER!
I HAVE BEEN SAD AND CRYING ALL WEEKEND BUT ONCE I STARTED WATCHING THE MEDIA COVERAGE AND HOW THEY ARE REALLY TRYING TO DRAG HIS NAME THROUGH THE MUD..I STARTED TO FEEL SOMEWHAT GLAD THAT HE WAS TAKEN AWAY FROM ALL OF THIS BULLSH!T. NO MORE PEOPLE TO LEECH OFF OF HIM FOR MONEY, NO MORE PEOPLE WITH FRIVOLOUS LAW SUITS, NO MORE PEOPLE STILL CALLING HIM A PEDOPHILE, NO MORE PEOPLE CALLING HIM A SELLOUT OR WACKO JACKO, NO MORE STUPID JOKES, ETC.
I really feel like it wasn’t his time to go, he still had more to do, more lives to touch. this hurts so much, I’ve been a michael fan since a little girl. im praying for his family. Rest in peace Michael Jackson.
Awwwww!!! He looks so excited about the tour!! I know he really wanted to give it his all and I feel deep in my heart that’s what killed him!! MJ always wanted to please his fans and he knew he couldn’t this time, because of his health!!! That’s what killed him!! R.I.P MJ
i read an article with michael children nanny and from what shes saying michael and his family is twisted i dont care that his music was good there was alot of stuff going on that just not right
OMG….I feel soooo privileged to have been able to grow up watching and enjoying the music and perfect performances of this incredible being, my heart and prayers go out to the family and to all who are hurting right now, my heart is so torn, I haven’t had a decent night’s rest since Thursday. It’s like I lost a family member. He will never be duplicated for sure! Maybe now he can have the peace that he longed for. RIP MJ LOVE U FOREVER
Well,
All I can say is Michael will always be the best Pop star that ever lived. There will never be anyone better. It’s funny how he left this world a year or so after his icon James Brown did. All the Greats are slowly passing on. I pray Michael’s soul is at peace. I really believe Michael had it rough all of his life. I also believe that he was a very fragile person inside and out, that’s where the self mutilation with the surgeries and thing like that came into play. He was on display all of his life and I think after awhile that will distrub anyone’s psyche. He was just another human being, just touched by God with his gifts. I hope that he didn’t molest those kids and things like that, because we will never really know what went on…His father Joe Jackson made Michael the Great Entertainer he is, but with too much discipline, and I think that affected his psyche over the years as well. But, you know black parents back in the day felt that this was the only way to ensure that their child becomes something great, through strict disicpline and I think Joe had good intentions, but it definately affected Micahel in some kind of way.
I just hope that people will remeber Michael Jackson for his talent and humanitarianism. I hope they don’t make his death into a more publicity extravaganza. I think they should do all of his memorials and celebrate his life. Then let him rest. I believe that’s why God is taking these celebrities b/c they need rest from the publci eyes, and for the public to focus more on the Master which is God, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. It’s time we look up to Jesus instead of man. Michael was only a man, used by God to inspire!
Rest in Peace Michael, and thanks for all the years of great music that continues to touch us all!!!
@62 White famous ppl should be aware of the 25th too… did you forget about Farrah Fawcett?
That’s looks like Darryl Phinnessee standing next to him. I would like for somebody to shed some light on who this man really was. I believe he was caring and naturally a good person. Good people are often taken advantage of by opportunists. I miss Michael and love his music. He is the biggest entertainer in the world and no one can change. Not even the white folks. Yes, he’s bigger than Elvis and the Beetles. This funeral will be the largest memorial and his death will be talked about for years to come. It’s sad but I feel that he’s in a better place now without the worry and stress. RIP My baby Michael.
RIP MJ you were way to good for this world.
He looked so excited about his upcoming tour and being on stage again. I’ve been hearing about how much of a perfectionist he was, so I know this would have been just as amazing as his other work.
I grew up listening to and watching MJ and loving everything he did. Now my nephew, whose approx 25 yrs younger, has that same love for him. MJ’s a true legend.
MICHAEL YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED AND MISSED FOR GENERATIONS TO COME!!!!!!!!!!
