Though I don’t cover men’s fashion like I should here, I received lots of questions about this outfit Kanye West rocked while on the set of the Clipse’s ‘Kinda Like a Big Deal’ video in New York recently. I decided to spotlight this look this week with the items he rocked:
A. – Starting with Mr. West’s favorite pair of shades – Kanye wore the ‘Flat top’ sunglasses by RETROSUPERFUTURE ($132)
B. & C. – Then moving along to the two most asked questions on this outfit, Kanye wore a Rick Owens DRKSHDW black poplin jean jacket ($629) along with his black custom-made wooden Jesus pendant. A more price friendly alternative I found to his jacket was G Raw Denim’s “Mash Jacket” ($260)
D. – Kanye wore his very own Louis Vuitton ‘Jasper’ sneakers (retailed for $990) to complete the black’d out look which he showed off separately…
E. – On his wrist was his black Rolex Submariner, which he even features as 1 of his 10 fashion essentials on mens.style.com.
always fresh….gotta give him props for that.

good thing this is a post about his clothing attire then, right number 2? & not his personality.
I must really miss 90′s music, because I swear those shades reminds of the 90′s,
( the “Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number” album cover) and so on and so forth. Seriously, I must’ve been sleeping under a rock or something, because I haven’t been seeing any of today’s artists rocking flat shades in years…….Years!
When I saw those shades, I kinda got a little emotional. I almost criededed.

Personally I’d like to see less about how much these celebs spend on their clothes and more about what they are doing in our community. I’d like to see one talk about investing in your financial and spiritual future. Instead what we get is how much so and so paid for their jacket.

I like the look that Kanye is sporting….def. stylish! He is a ego manic tho, so not sure how he would go about accepting the compliments on his style.
