There’s very, very little difference between the simplicity and coonery in the black Christian church and the average rap concert. Rappers really make perfect preachers because it’s all entertainment and witchcraft anyway. Rappers already have a following; usually 90% black women, which is about the same percentage in the church, and they’re used to keeping people entertained, which is about all most of these porkchop eatin’ preachers do. In addition to that, a rapper wants to make people believe that he was a pimp or a hustler and the average pastor knows nothing about the scriptures, biblical history, or the prophecies, but he can make his congregation think he does. I honestly believe that is why Mase attempted his comeback. He went into the so-called Christian church to find “God”, realized the negroes in there are faker than a $3 bill and just as wicked as cats on the street, probably stopped believing in the Most High altogether, and he just decided to try his luck back in the industry. Just the fact that this dude, “Hammer”, would allow his son to get a tattoo at any age, much less 13, shows that the Bible is a tool he uses to keep himself relevant and to keep his hustle goin’ (Leviticus 19:28).
