I as a guy don’t really like them. They are very uncomfortable and itchy like tight spandex. I prefer the baggy ones, excuse me for being stuck in the 90s, but they just feel better. They don’t really have to be baggy, but loose or even “fitted” is ok. Just as long as they are not “Lee” jeans, those jeans NEVER fit right.

To me, it also sports a “rocker” image. Which I feel a lot of rappers and R&B male singers are slowly starting to ween-into. Only to appeal more crossover, since baggy jeans have always been symbolic to “Thug” or as white people call them “Gangbanger.” They LOVE to use that word. So I think it is a stereotypical image change.

It’s a trend, but won’t become the norm…let’s face it, the majority of guys don’t wear them, only a few and those few are really the ones just following the trend that has now seeped into Urban/Black culture from what they see celebs doing ’cause let’s face it, this is nothing new to our White counterparts, they’ve been around forever. Skinny jeans work on a guy that is slim IMO, I think I hate it the most when I see a Black male in them that has much ass and thighs and package, it looks disgusting to me. If you’re above a 32-33 waist and a guy you should really leave them alone, they are not for everyone (and those aren’t skinnies Wayne is rocking BTW).

In terms of a cleaner look, skinny jeans is not the answer. I think men are starting to realize that they look a fool when they have no presentation, and then wonder why it’s next to impossible to get any play from a female for the ones who don’t have their look on point clothes wise. It’s about wearing clothes that fit. Maybe even fitted if that works for you, but not looking a mess.

Jeans for guys FYI that have a clean/slim but not skinny fit that will work for you and your figure: Rock & Republic (Henlee or Floyd fit bootcuts, Neil straight leg), Diesel (Zaf, Zathan, or Zatiny cut).

I was watching a Health video the other day (don’t ask, nothing was on) and it said that tight jeans squeeze the balls too close to the man’s body causing them to heat up. um these aren’t really skinny jeans, but me as a female I’m just not attracted to men with baggy jeans, neither ones wear I can see underwear, and from the looks of it I all three of those guys (wayne, chris,cude) are showin draws in the back, that’s not hot either.

Nope, this style doesnt work. And it’s not new, in London dudes have been rocking this look since 2005. It may be the end off baggy but they are still saggy which just looks sad, like they borrowed their sisters jeans or something. I prefer what John Legend has on in the next post, fitting not tight, grown and sexy.

I have been in Korea for a year and ALL the men wear skinny jeans and carry handbag like bags. Still not used to it. Hope this trend doesn’t last long in the States.

Cudi looks so hawt!! I love his take on fashion, he is experimental like kanYe. Here in London most of my male friends rock skinnies and look damn good too! Black people need to stop being so narrow minded in regards to fashion. That whole notion of skinny jeans= gay is ignorant and sooooo stupid. I dont think every man can get away with skinny jeans. Those with a waist above 32 inches for example should steer clear because it’s not flattering. But equally really skinny guys shouldn’t wear excessively baggy jeans because that looks just as bad. Topman has cute clothes for guys. But it isn’t for black guys who have ass and legs. Those sizes are hella small. The underwear are cute and the hoodies are too. Those crackhead jeans Chris has on are not cute.

They are wearing skinny jeans. I have a pain of straight legs and they don’t look like that. The problem is that they are wearing skinny jeans loose…but they are still skinny jeans. you can tell by the cut. I’ve seen big chicks look hot in skinny jeans though so i don’t even know what to say. They still arent’ for everyone. I think it’s a good look. I’m from London and have been sporting Skinny/fitted jeans for a couple years now, it’s all i wear. I don’t think it’s for everyone, but if u can rock it and still look masculine, i say go for it.

Those are NOT skinny jeans they are STRAIGHT LEG JEANS. They use to wear them in the 80s during the beginning of hip hop. Nothing wrong with them as long as they are loose at the top. All of artists you shown look fine. Nothing is too tight around their crotch so I’m cool with it. If they were wearing tight-ass nutt hugging jeans I definitely have to say hell nah!

Guys wearing skinny jeans started with emo and rocker kids trying to get a diffderent look from the bagging pants back in the 90’s and now that almost everyone is wearing them the trend will die. Another trend will emerge starting with them and it will follow the skinny jeans its a cycle once a small group does something different from the larger group and if the larger group follows them then the smaller one will make a new trend trying to stay different from the larger group.
plus iv already fashion desighners from Europe say that the era of skinny jeans are over and once they go so will we.
