Amerie has everything she needs to be really big, she just doesn’t choose singles that are super catchy. One Thing was amazing because it was simple and people could sing along easily, just by hearing it once. This is what Singers like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga do. They give you simple, but catchy hooks and infectious beats that stick in your head and whether you like them or not eventually they’ll just grow on you.

She needs to get herself a catchy record like Umbrella or Put a Ring on it. This song is good, but no single material. Still love her though!

I like the song and her look. It has a nice laidback feel to it. Def Jam is saying this is a buzz single. I sure she will come out with another more aggressive song similar to one thing later as the album date get closer. Good look Amerie.

I absolutely adore Amerie, but I am so mad that she recorded this song and then, had the nerve to release it! It’s horrible. Her voice sounds too pitchy and the 90’s hip-hop beat and R&B instruments do not mix well! Her voice is absolutely beautiful and unique but I think that ever since one thing, she’s been singing way to high! She needs to tone it down a bit like how she did when she first came out. The video is absolutely beautiful, the graphics and hot, and she is gorgeous and the camera loves her, it’s just that she doesn’t have THE SINGLES! She needs to find a sound and a delivery for her voice that suits her the best while still fitting in with today’s “crappy music.” I feel bad for her because she is different and talented but nobody is willing to give her a chance.

I’m so glad she is sticking to her sound that made us love her music than going to that house/club/dance music that all the other artist are doing to try to stay in the Game. Its down right Annoying now! Hearing another Amerie song take it back to the feel of why don’t we fall in Love makes me so hyped to hear a song thats not the same House/dance music crap MOST of those other artist are doing. People try to say how much of a flop she is but like her 1st album sold 770,000+ in its initial few months, it wasn’t platinum immediately but it was close with low promotion, only 2 videos, and had 1 producer and 1 brand new singer the whole album, so columbia made they’re money cause wasn’t many people to pay out. And the album shocked the critics. Touch went gold though expected to do better, but 1thing by itself got amerie so much work and the album and single both got grammy nominations which alot of artist that get more attention dont even get by their 2nd album. keep them updated on the facts #6!

ok….her songs don’t fit her!! allow me to explain. she can’t sing, really has no rhythm, yet all of the beats to her songs feel as if mjb should cover the track with her vocals!! her image isn’t really who she is. she’s a college girl, not the type to run with “da crew”. and that’s fine, i’m happy that she an educated sister, however you can’t copy street swag, you either have it or you don’t!!

What I find sad is this real talk. This is Amerie’s 4th album ok this sista wrights her own music composes it and arrang it as well. Amerie even c/o directs all her videos and owns her own buisness. The sista is mad educated and could of done a lot of things but is following her dream as a singer/song writer and is being true to her style and sound.
