  4. Dang!!! I was so close to being first.

Anyways, is anyone other than me tired of hearing about him being dead…or how great he was when he was alive? I know some or most of y’all might think that’s wrong, but I was so tired after about the first 10 minutes!!!

  5. Joja86

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and then they need a real Tribute show just for him! Can’t wait…ugh make me proud! I need these celebs to rip off Michael Jackson like they never did before!

I’m looking forward to Chris Brown’s set…he first came to mind then Usher. Those 2 do the best to me Ginuwine better be there, (not sure about Omarion), etc. There should be a medley of all the folks who sampled his songs

BET’s highest ratings yet..MTV better air this ish too!

  6. shantese

  7. 808 HeartBreak

This well SUPER INTERESTING! Especially it being completely last minute! I wonder if Chris Brown is goin to pop out of no where and do a performance! As much as I cannot stand him….there is no other performing that are capable to move like Mike! Gosh, I know that fuels to his ego (not the GOOD one).*smh*

  8. yarn

That is great! They owe this man ALOT!

  9. I’ll definitely tune in to see that.

CHRIS BROWN NEED TO DO THE TRIBUTE

  13. @ #12…I totally agree!! No one will do it better.

  14. nameme

Finally they have an actual comedian host and we all know Jaime is crazy!!!!

  15. Tasha F

    @Kaylonie:

We sistas nah HA….!!! Amen I heard that!l. No disrepect but I’m tired of hearing it too. And personally, I too feel if they should only let Chris Brown do the tribute…OR just Motown artist….because they don’t, it’s going to be a utter MESS!

  16. KSH

They need not just pay homeage to him they need to do a tribute with Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Neyo, Mariah – they could really do it real big.

  17. Beyonce Fan

    Beyonce-ill Be Their
    Ne-Yo- Beat It
    Chris Brown- of course thriller

    Hopefully
Ciara-Human Nature-her soft vocal would make it believable
    Maxwell-Never can say goodbye

  18. pz

bey is gonna rip the stage!!!

  19. NikNak

    @4 Kaylonie,

I have a suggestion. Ignore the sites that aren’t tired of talking about him and how much he meant to them.

I mean, I never met the man, and never got into his music like that, but I can respect the influence he had over our culture, and if people are so saddened by his death and consider it a personal loss, I can respect that too.

  20. KSH

CHRIS BROWN is hands down the best to do the tribute. He is the youngest and he is closer to Mike’s move than anyone else. That Thriller tribute he did in Europe for Mike – was the bomb. He has plead guilty and he has his sentence. BET needs don’t need to be judge and jury. He should be performing – point, blank, period

  21. ♥♥PEACHEZZZ♥♥

    @ KAYLONIE

YOU KNOW WHAT..STFU! THE MAN JUST DIED A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. HELL NAW WE’RE NOT TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT IT AND IF YOU ARE THAT’S TOO BAD! THAT’S MICHAEL F*CKING JACKSON YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT. YOU MUST BE YOUNG AS HELL TO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MAN MEANS TO SOME PEOPLE. YOU SHOULD PRAY NOBODY GETS “TIRED” OF HEARING ABOUT YOU AFTER 10 MINUTES WHEN YOUR TIME COMES TO LEAVE THIS WORLD. SMH.

  22. wtf

@ksh, i was with you until you lost me with JT..he needs to sit this one out.. i am sure it will be good and really hope chris is there and does a stella performance..BET awards are really going to be bitter sweet..RIP MJ.. hope you are finally resting now..

  23. Fine-N-Mellow

Love MJ damn I still cant believe he’s gone. Loved his music since I was a Kid. Been rocking to his music before his death and always will.

  24. KSH

Mariah – I’ll Be There (of course)

Bey – Never Can Say Goodbye

Alicia Keys – I Wanna Rock WIthchu

Neyo – Billie Jean & Beat It

Justin – The Way You Make Me Feel

Usher – Man in the Mirror

Chris Brown bringing up the end with “Thriller”

Whole host of celebs with Lionel Richie “We Are the World”

  25. Joja86

    #7. Chris Brown is performing..

  26. Nothing But Love

I just hope BET come correct, it should be a good show anyway.

And apparently that boy Evan Chandler the one who accused MJ the first time of molestion said that he was lying.

  27. KSH

    @21 WTF

Mike really respected JT and know he and Janet had their issues but Mike had only good things to say about Justin. And JT has the talent for sure. But I know he and Janet got some sour grapes so I can why he should maybe sit this one out.

  28. Nothing But Love

By the way i hope JT doesn’t preform i haven’t forgotten the way he threw Janet to the wolves after the whole superbowl incident. He needs to sit this one out..

  29. KSH

Janet knew that tittie was coming out, she should have just apologized and kept it moving. No big deal. We all are responsible for our on actions. She could have said “oh no I don’t want to do that” – but i LOVE Janet cause she likes to push the evenlope at times. I ain’t mad at her or JT – I rocks with both of them.

  30. Joja86

    Yes #24!

Mimi definitely should do “I’ll Be There”

Justin – The Way You Make Me Feel fits him

Usher – Man in the Mirror

Chris Brown bringing up the end with “Thriller”….Ciara “Remember the time” Egypt theme

I agree with whole host of celebs with Lionel Richie “We Are the World” and maybe everyone who sampled his music to come out. A video tribute with Boys II Men “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye”

Iono if I want Diddy & them to perform this tribute song they have out. Wonder who/what will open up

  31. CJ

Ummm wasn’t Beyonce JUST talkin slick about the Jackson family not too long ago? Making those Rude and ridiculous comments about the Jackson’s? And how her father didn’t use her to get famous

And now she wants to “pay tribute”? What a hypocrite & Fraud. I’m sure she’ll be up there crying her crocodile tears like she wasn’t just talkin greezy about his fam. She needs to sit her disrespectful, ignorant a$$ down somewhere

  32. TLD

Seems like the ones who stuck their nose to the Jacksons are the ones who might perform..such “hypocritical i need publicity every time bitches” Justin and Bey should sit down if them two, since I’m hearing they performing.

And yeah MJ said nothing but good things until all that happened.Be time effective ok?

People gonna see it as being hypocritical anyways if them two perform.I know I am..they only using it to get pub.

  33. KSH

    @29

Ciara would be good for Remember the Times. That would be the shit. BET better come correct with this.

  34. Beyonce Fan

@ 29 Mimi definitely should do “I’ll Be There”

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Beyonce should do I’ll Be their, i think her runs would be beautiful.

MIMI should do a soft songs, i dont think her voice as fragile as it is can handle it.

  35. wtf?

i think Bey should do her song “Sweet Dreams” then go into “Beat It” if you’ve ever heard them, they sound SOO similar and the transition would be CRAZY! have the crowd on their feets and everything.

  36. *~*lady_love

    @ peachezzz

Co-sign 100%. I don’t even see how someone could have the nerve to say something like that. All these celebs people are naming cb, bey, neyo, jt, etc wouldn’t even be where they are if it wasn’t for MJ. He changed the face of music, opened doors for other black artists, made people step their game up when it came to music videos. And yes you can thank MJ for all the black faces you now see on MTV. That’s because of him. He was the first. So Kaylonie you need to respect a legend and icon when you see one. If you’re tired just go do something else but next time keep comments like that to yourself at a time like this. It’s too soon hun.

  37. JstBReal

#23 Ksh I completely agree with that lineup. Mariah mos def needs to do Ill be there. Each time I think of that song I tear up and nobody can do that song like her. She already redid it so its fitting.
Ahh man Ima dude and I can already tell Ima be crying watching this tomorrow lol. Im already setting my dvr for this one. RIP MJ we all love you man!

Agreed. Maybe back in the DAY Mariah could pull it off but now..not so much.

Anyway, I can’t wait to see it. I know it would be wonderful. Much love to Michael.

  41. TeTe

@20 just like you have your opinion of how much he meant to people, others have their opinions…

i loved michael jackson’s music and understand the influence that he had on not just the music industry or the black community but just the world as a whole….but my thing is,i hate how people treat others after they’ve passed…

when this man was alive,he was treated HORRIBLY by the same people who are claiming to be so heartbroken over it..he was called every negative name in the book…and it just saddens me how now everybody loves him because he’s gone…

as for the BET Awards, because its dedicated to michael, thats why i will be watching,im expecting Chris Brown and Usher to give a good show…

  42. KSH

AKeys could do “I Want You Back” easily.

I thinnk Bey would kill “Never Can Say Goodbye”

Mariah is the ONLY one I want to hear, besides Michael, sing “I’ll Be There” – that’s just my opinion. I think she could tune those pipes up for this one tribute.

  43. KSH

If Chris Brown ain’t in it then it ain’t gonna live up to the full potential of a REAL MJ TRIBUTE. I’m sorry but BET would have failed big time on this one if they don’t get Chris.

  44. do-it

CHRIS BROWN IS GONNA PERFORM SO IT SHOULD BE GOOD!

  45. DGIRL

how is BET GONNA HAVE BEYONCE DO THAT SHIT AFTER SHE TALK SHIT BOUT HIS FAMILY IN THE MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOULD BE A FUCKIN SHAME!!!!!!!! FUCK BEYONCE….

  48. Bahamian Beauty

My heart hurts so badly because of MJ’s passing. I wish the media would respect his family’s privacy and leave them alone. The media is to blame for how bad his reputation was ruined. I know the constant negativity that came from them contributed to the downward spiral of Michael. Imagine if everyday people were saying things about you? That you were the rebuttal of people’s jokes. I don’t think anyone commenting could handle that. The media was so caught up in Michael’s personal life that they completely forgot what he stood for as a person and entertainer. He wasn’t a child molester or the “guy that lost his black card.” He was the greatest entertainer EVER, and every knuckle head out there today owes him for paving the way for him. You look at all of these kids like Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher.. all wanting to be someone they could NEVER amount to.

The world lost such a great talent. I don’t think people will ever heal from this. People grew up with Michael! They are his childhood! RIP Michael.

  49. Beyonce Fan

I would love for chris brown to do it, really a positive aspect on his comback from his past few months of DRAMA

  50. Tiff.Will. [CL's "BeyStan"]

    @*~*lady_love

I do agree but at the same time you need to realize that not EVERYONE likes mourning over the dead. It may take some people weeks, months, or even years to get over this while it may take others hours or 1 day. However, some people don’t like to mourn and think about something so tragic for too long. I do believe that Kaylonie could’ve been more respecful but I also understand where he/she is coming from. It does seem like Michael has been taking over the Earth over the past few days – which I totally understand – but some people may not. Everyone is different. You may feel like multiple posts of him, shows, videos, music, and talking of him is the right way to show respect for this legend’s passing while others are moreso to the point with it. Like “okay, he died and we are all very sad for losing one of the greatest entertainers of all time but can we move it right along”. You may not be one of those people.

It’s like, as soon as someone passes away, THEN people want to respect that person and say good things about that person. Weren’t half of the people on here talking trash about his outfit and face the other day? I mean really, it is so SAD that it takes someone to die for people to realize how great they were and respect them. SMH

  51. MARIAH CAREY

GET MARIAH CAREY TO DO HER REMAKE OF MICHAEL’S “ILL BE THERE”…………………………………………….

  52. *~*lady_love

    @ Tete
You should direct that comment to the one talking about being tired of hearing about Michael already. Not Peachezzz. If he was treated poorly in life, can’t he at least be shown some respect in death? I can’t speak for people who treated him that way but some of us have been MJ fans since childhood. He represents an entire era of our lives. Some on here can’t understand that. They are already here making this about Chris Brown and others. Who won’t even accomplish a fraction of what MJ did in his lifetime. The gravity of MJ’s influence has been lost on this younger generation.

  53. Tiff.Will. [CL's "BeyStan"]

    @37

    THANK YOU!

The same people claiming to be so teary-eyed and heart broken are the same ones who talked so much CRAP about him on a DAILY basis.

It is so pathetic to know that it takes a person to die for others to show respect and realize their greatness. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind to hearing ALL these nice things being said about him..NOW!

  54. Beyonce Fan

@46 do u honestly think MIMI can sang the that song now. Be serious, she would be struggling worser than she normally does

  55. lavender

JUST shut the FUCK UP #4!. If u have nothing postive to say why r u commenting? This is the LEAST anyone can do for the most influential man this entertainment industry has EVER known. point. blank. period!

  56. Ms Ke

    looking forward to it!

  57. *~*lady_love

    @ Tiff Will

I hear you but you are talking to someone who respects and admires MJ as an artist, a man, a humanitarian..not just after his death but very much so when he was alive. I own every song he ever made. Even when he was with the Jackson 5. So no I won’t just move it right along. If someone feels we should then perhaps that person shouldn’t be on a freaking post about MJ don’t you think? I mean some things are better left unsaid.

  58. Tiff.Will. [CL's "BeyStan"]

    @46

“They are already here making this about Chris Brown and others. Who won’t even accomplish a fraction of what MJ did in his lifetime”

    _____________________________________________________________________

Sweatheart, unless your name is Jesus Christ I suggest you stop claiming what other artist’s musical career will get to. Now I’m not saying Chris Brown is the next Michael Jackson but to say the he, along with others, will not accomplish a fraction of what MJ has is just rediculous. None of us knows the future. I mean for example, ALL OF US thought ‘Rihanna’ was a one hit wonder with “Pon de Replay” but look how far she’s gotten. So, never say never. Many people have the potential to be an amazing artist – maybe not like MJ – but close to it. It is all in how they set themselves up and apart from the rest of the crowd.

  59. *~*lady_love

    & also Tiff Will
It would be interesting to see how you would feel about people being tired of hearing about the person dying if that person was Beyonce. Hmmm..food for thought.

  60. Tiff.Will. [CL's "BeyStan"]

    @50..

    Yeah, I agree.

    It shouldn’t have been said.
