How do all of these BET execs have all this money, yet they still dress like they shop at David’s Bridal Warehouse?!?

    No class, SMH.
Jamie was just ridiculous. Inappropriate jokes; and they weren’t even funny.

Beyonce sang well, but the costuming just ruined it. Soulja boy wasn’t too bad, but his personae was just wrong. (You couldn’t wear something decent for Michael??)

And all of these low-class jackasses in t-shirts and dumb ass jewelery.
Fadder Lawd, Michael shoulda died today.

I am disapointed at BET, honestly I expected more, however, that was not the case. I’ve seen more horaries on other channels such as vh1, cnn, msnb than I have on BET. And the award in his nor sucked. Should and could have been alot better. I think BET should do something else to honor him aside from the rediculous awards, which had no content. I am upset and will turn off BET in my house for good, unless the station does MJ justice.

I was very please that BET honored the Legend, Michael Jackson at the BET Awards 2009..I was vey upset that Christ Brown did not get the opportunity to perform..I do not know how true it is that Jay-Z threaten to boycott the award show had Mr. Brown performed..It was not about Jay-Z..PERIOD..It was about what Michael meant to US as a RACE as a CULTURE..Christ is nineteen what he did was wrong but who made JAY-Z GOD..I wanted to see Christ dance and just see what Michael’s legacy had left on the next generation..I am a mother of three sons and I would not want someone to block my sons from their dreams..My heart goes out to Rihanna..What BET did was WRONG and I was deprived of a performance due to J-Z EGO..What explaination does he have for pushing the South African Woman in the face with no shame..Google it up to view the video..May Michael Rest in Peace WE will all ways LOVE and HONOR your legacy..

BET should have been ashamed of themselves to call the fiasco the other night a tribute to Michael Jackson. I thought that I was going to see performances by Chris Brown, Usher and Chris Tucker. These are the people who should have been included in a tribute as they have worked so hard to follow in Michael’s footsteps with song and dance. The tribute to the O Jays and Maxwell were the only presentable acts they had. And I was totally disgusted with that piece of filth that was presented by LiL Wayne and those underaged little girls. I felt sorry that Janet Jackson had to grace the stage behind that disaster. To thank BET for what they had done must have been one of the most difficult things she’s ever had to do. What a dis-service to a mega star like Michael Jackson. I now remember why I stopped watching BET.

Look at the pic on the Time mag cover and the wallpaper photo on this site of him as kid with the hat on, the smile is still the same, simply beautiful. For all the changes he made to his face on purpose in an attempt not to look anything like his father, his gorgeous smile never changed. That’s what I’ll always remember about Michael. Yes, I do think his father is just creepy with all his grinning all over the place as if he just won an award and is loving people paying attention to him as if with Michael gone he can now get some spotlight at his son’s expense. He never looks like he’s in pain over his son’s death.
His family esp. Janet looks distraught, but he doesn’t. Michael still has the last laugh since he cut Joseph (never even allowed to call him dad) out of his will and I’m glad he did. This is what happens when parents push too hard then the world takes over and you never get a moment of peace to yourself. In all, I’m glad Michael was an icon, a Black man who accomplished more than any other entertainer in history starting from nothing. He will never be forgotten. Now his ex-wife (yeah right), she was never his wife, she was a surrogate only, wants the kids to get his money now that Michael purposely cut her out of his will too.
Diana and Katherine (his mom) should share custody of the kids so they will have their grandmother in their lives as Michael wanted and so Diana can raise them normally since his mom is advanced in age and the kids still have their nanny since birth. Diana is uber rich (more money than Michael) since her late husband was a Billionnaire (a shipping tycoon) and doesn’t need the money so she won’t have an ulterior motive. His ex should get nothing and def. not the kids since she said (just days ago) she and Michael never had sex, she was impregnated artifically kind of like she does her horses when she breeds them, and that she never wanted the children and never visited the children and was paid…….$9 million dollars over 9 years for custody. They don’t even know her. The money goes where the kids go, you do the math as to why she wants them now! The oldest two are possibly hers (some think the eggs were donated and she’s not the biological mother either), but the youngest isn’t hers and she would be splitting up brothers and sisters (they’re siblings even if they aren’t blood). She said she’d be willing to take the youngest one too (money with that one too).
Janet once said that she didn’t want kids because she was afraid she’d treat them like her dad treated them. Finally someone who is honest enough to know they shouldn’t have kids. More people should do that.
Finally, Michael had a 50% interest in Sony I think (the Beatles, Jonas Bros. Bob Dylan) and many others, much, much money there and it will go on forever as long as their music is put out his kids will get more and more, every time anybody samples any of those songs, the kids will get paid. I hope they get a chance at a normal life. Michael, RIP

Janet should have knocked the hell out of Beyonce at the BET awards since she was distraught over Michael, no one would have blamed her! Just a few months ago (for no reason) she said her family didn’t grow up poor like the Jackson’s, her dad had a Jag when she was growing up and had money and DIDN’T HAVE TO PIMP THEIR KIDS TO MAKE MONEY LIKE THE JACKSONS! Beyonce is a B****! She should have felt like a fool and ashamed of herself doing a tribute to Michael with Janet there. Her time will be over soon because she will never be like Janet and will never achieve Michael status and if she thinks her family is different, how does she think her dad got rich and her mom got her clothing line (Miss Tina) and Solange got her record deal, all due to Beyonce’s popularity and money and Destiny’s child was no more than a way to showcase Beyonce, it wasn’t a real group, that’s why Kelly Rowland fired Beyonce’s dad as her manager. She said her dad will never look out for her like he does Beyonce since that’s his daughter and she’s right. Now that she left him, she’s got a number one overseas and is making bank. B and Jay think they are all that, they need to disappear. You can tell when people start to believe the hype about themselves!

No. 31 CJ: That’s why I’m saying! Read my comment (Lynn 7/2/09) w/details about Beyonce’s diss to the Jackson family. I agree B is a B and should be ashamed of herself and it would have been the perfect moment for Janet to whip her tail and NOBODY would have said a word or blamed her and we could have called it due to stress over her brother’s death.

I was not defending Chris Brown, he has his attorneys for that role. I was simply saying let’s not use this sad occassion to condemn the boy. You didn’t agree with my opinion, that’s alright but we can still agree the Michael Jackson favored CB as an artist that’s all I was trying to say. I though your comment about a West Indian woman defending a man who mollywopped a Bajan Gyal was so funny! Doh dig nuttin’ eh :D
