Jermaine Jackson speaks about his brother Michael Jackson’s death during a press conference at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Thursday, June 25th in Los Angeles, California. The iconic pop star, 50, was rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest, according to reports.
My brother, the legendary king of pop Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:26 p.m. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are done.
His personal physician, who was with him at the time, attempted to resuscitate my brother. As did the paramedics who transmitted him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14 p.m., a team of doctors including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of more than one hour and they were unsuccessful.

Michael did not see himself living pass 40, as one report stated, this man was just tired and the Creator called him home.
Michael used his talent to the fullest, he was not selfish with his talent, he gave many gifts to others as well, look at all the artist that he has inspired!
Well Mike your work is done, I know that it felt good to shed that body and set your soul free, I know for myself I look forward to hearing my Heavenly Father say well done my good and faithful servant now you can come home.

@candikane – yeh i know, i’m watching the news and they are showing michael singing bad and its breaking my heart. Because i’m a HUGE mj fan and have tons of dvds and videos of him aswell as cds and so i love them all and always dance when i hear his songs and i know every single one of his little adlibs but can’t even look at him. I’ve used the word “shocked” many times in my life but i’d never REALLY felt it before except when some other people i know have died but to be honest its not even the same. this is really shock. theres lots of pics around my house of mum back in the 90′s and i can’t even look at them because back then everybody used to tell her she looked like the female version of michael jackson during his “beat it” look. She even had the gheri curl but it was longer! lol i’m finding it really hard to even laugh.

I have been in tears every since I got word. I’m sure that the Dr. od’d him by mistake and just can’t take it back. Trust and believe that if this doctor was doing unethical work that he will go down in flames for killing the greatest entertainer ever

As I sit here reading all the comments, my heart breaks and I can’t help but shed a few tears…I am really sad. I cried while wacthing his videos on youtube last night. I even felt guilty cause I don’t even know the dude personally and I know many people die every day. But I can’t deny what I feel. His music was the soundtrack of my childhood. I am honored and blessed to be alive to during the time that Michael Jackson career has had a profound impact on the lives of many.
I remember when Bob Marley died and my mother cried while they played “No woman no cry”, I was so young. She said I looked at her and said “mommy why are you crying? and she said “you are way too young to know”.
But yesterday when I got home and was told of his death. I completely understood how she felt.

All i can say is we lost a music icon and its so sad that his life was mirrored by abuse and tragedy since a young age. Secondly no matter the bad things or sexual abuse but no of us really know if he touched them boys but it seemed like mike had a good heart and some people took advantage. I pray for his family and i pray mike accepted JESUS as his savior and if so ill see him when i make it to paradise

I was in tears when Jermaine had to step up and do that statement to the media last night. How awful. It is such a trying time for any family at the time of any relatives death, but it is so much worse for celebrities. They have to grieve publicly and are xpected to speak to the media before they even have a real chance to let everything truly sink in.I just can not imagine. That second pic of Jermaine breaks my heart. Jermaine broke down after he uttered the words out loud that his little brother was gone to a bunch lights and flashing cameras. I loved that the media in that room respected him enough not to hit him with a bunch a dumb ass questions like the always do.
It still doesn’t feel real. I don’t know, for some reason i felt he would live forever or something.. i had never thought about him dying. My heart HURTS. I was just crushed when word came that he died. Where i live, the whole day has been strangely quiet. I think M.J. meant something to almost everyone. He will live through his music forever.
