Jermaine Jackson speaks about his brother Michael Jackson’s death during a press conference at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Thursday, June 25th in Los Angeles, California. The iconic pop star, 50, was rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest, according to reports.
My brother, the legendary king of pop Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:26 p.m. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are done.
His personal physician, who was with him at the time, attempted to resuscitate my brother. As did the paramedics who transmitted him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14 p.m., a team of doctors including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of more than one hour and they were unsuccessful.

Whatever you think of MJ as a person good or bad, there’s no denying this man’ s talent and influence on people and music throughout the world as an artist. And yes he’s bigger than Elvis because he smashed racial barriers in addition to bringing people together of all social classes, faiths, and nationalities. He was truly one of a kind, and his legend will only grow even bigger now that’s he’s gone. His music will endure forever!

I am so devastated. My friends are not as sad as I am. Maybe it’s because I grew up listening to him. Not only has his music affected me, his character and his whole being influenced me as well. I don’t know how I am going to get over this.

Yeah I said the same thing yesterday. But I realize we can’t fault those people. I myself laughed at a few Michael Jackson jokes. We all did and some of us even made some of our own. Deep down inside we all loved him but we took him for granted. He was one of those people we all thought was just going to live forever. In a sense he became immortal to us I am still in SHOCK. I don’t know how he died but we all know he had been suffering mentally and physically. Rather the doctor caused it or not GOD felt it was his time to go.
I am so devastated and I can’t stop crying. I was in denial, but when I saw his body covered being taken out of the helicoper, it hit me oh no it’s true!!!! I love MJ so much. And I just don’t understand why, why did he have to go so soon. Well I Know He is at peace. My thoughts and PRAYERS goes out to the family. MJ will never be forgotten that’s for sure. RIP LOVE. I can remember watching “Thriller” I was about four years old and that’s when I fell in love with music period..Michael is the best entertainer that ever lived he loved his fans and he loved his work and he gave so much of himself to the world and he still wanted to do more work but in God’s eyes he was complete RIP MJ!
