Attorney Donald Etra and singer Rihanna appear at a preliminary hearing at Superior Court of Los Angeles County on Monday, June 22nd in Los Angeles, California. When Brown left the courtroom … Rihanna walked in the courtroom. The judge explained the deal to her. The judge was telling Rihanna about the protective order.
Chris will serve no jail time, as we stated in an earlier post and was ordered to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna. More info in our other post..

Now you talk with some sense. I understand you like Chris but he has a problem and he needs to work on it. You are a female and if a man BEAT you like Chris did I would say the same thing. And if I saw a man beating you like that I would knock him out and help you. It’s crazy to BLAME Rihanna. What Chris did was DEAD wrong and he could have gone to jail for a very LONG time. He’s luck he has his freedom and a second chance. Let’s both hope he makes the best of it. You seem like a smart girl just keep this in mind. I thought he would go to jail…but Rihanna still got some justice, hard labor is a good form of justice as well. Women who face violence are lucky if their attacker gets such a punishment, in other words, domestic violence towards women often goes unpunished.
I basically read that…the beater will do 180 days of hard labor (Caltrans or graffiti cleanup, etc.), he’ll attend council sessions and he also has 5 years probation, if he violates his probation orders within the 5 years he will face up to 4 years in prison. Oh and he should report to court every 4 months.
Mmhmmm, although he won’t do jail time, the plea deal still sounds like justice to me.
