PHOTOS: MICHAEL JACKSON’S LAST CONCERT REHEARSAL

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Here are a couple of photos from Michael Jackson’s last concert rehearsal that was held last week Tuesday, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Photographer Kevin Mazur (who owns popular photo agency WIREIMAGE) has been shooting MJ for years and released this statement with the photos:

“I am devastated by the sudden loss of ‘The King of Pop,’ who I have photographed numerous times since the Victory Tour in the ’80s. When he hit the stage at rehearsal, I was thrilled that the magical Michael Jackson was BACK!!! I felt the same adrenaline rush as when I photographed him the first time moonwalking. I was so looking forward to shooting the O2 Arena performances with the amazing production that Kenny Ortega and AEG put together with Michael for his fans.”

–Kevin Mazur, Celebrity Photographer and Founder of WireImage.com

In related news, it was announced yesterday that all ticket holders who bought tickets for Michael’s “This Is It” tour, can get a full refund if they want it.

white media is just mad and jealous as usual b/c their own hasn’t reached the level of MJ iconic and global status, anyhoo, the truth is the truth, Africa is where it all began, so it any wonder that African-decendants excel the way they do when given the same opportunity even after slavery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@80 is shut up all you have you imbecile…we are all a product of our enviornment and his MJ lived comes from the era where whitey was praised as if they were superior and as a result the world was hood winked and bambozzled into believing their BS and MJ unfortunately fell for the okey doke too, thus why he converted himself into whitey image, but thank GOD it didn’t stop MJ from being and INDEPTH GLOBAL artist…

@ #73 DEY DEY - no problem :)

To some of the posts below DEY DEY,

I have believed and will continue to believe Michael Jackson changed his skin because of vitiligo. At first I thought that when a person had vitiligo it was just a few light patches so I didn’t FULLY understand why Michael Jackson would change his whole skin colour when it could have possibly just been covered up with make up or something, but then I did some research and saw someone with vitiligo and I don’t blame Michael. I watched a video on YouTube and the person I saw who had it was a black man of course and his hands were FULLY white as well as his arms and all around his mouth and most of his chin and around his eyes was white. He’s been covering up his face and neck with make up but he said if his black skin starts “disappearing” more then he’ll have to use white make up - I guess Michael Jacksons was getting real bad why he changed?

And to the people who say how most of us who are somewhat saddened by Michael’s death were talking bad about him before he died. I for one can say I have never said anything bad about Michael Jackson. At times I didn’t think his actions were “normal” such as dangling his baby off of a balcony but I never said anything negative or anything like that.

I dont think CL really went after him like some other blogs did, all they did was put up pictures of MJ appearances which were and still are news. A lot of the comments were in fact much worse than what CL said, so people who are always quick to call out celebs for the smallest thing should also take a good hard look at themselves, some of the most unkind statements made are from the comments section. It’s like cyber bullying only it’s alright because they are celebrities right?

BEYONCE COULD NEVER BE YOU MICHAEL!!!!!!!
STOP COMPARING HER TO THE KING! SHE IS NOT ON HIS LEVEL!!!!!

Jackson had nine platinum singles in the United States, trailing only Elvis Presley (27) and Mariah Carey (10). Rihanna also has 9 platinum singles, which are only calculated by the RIAA for a fee, upon request.
Jackson had 16 gold singles in the United States, behind only Elvis Presley (54), Madonna (26), The Beatles (24), Mariah Carey (23), Janet Jackson (21), Whitney Houston (18), Elton John (17) and The Temptations (17).
Jackson’s Thriller remained at number one for thirty-seven weeks, the longest-ever stay by a non-soundtrack album and second only to West Side Story.[1]
Thriller spent a record 80 consecutive weeks, more than a year and a half, in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. It was the first of only three albums to remain on the Top 10 for more than a year (along with Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill and Celine Dion’s Falling into You).
“Thriller” is the best-selling album in U.S. history, at 50 million.
Thriller is the only album in the United States to have sold more copies than any other in two separate years, topping the sales charts in 1983 and 1984.
Four of Jackson’s albums, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, and Invincible, debuted at number one in the United States.
Jackson was the first artist to have four Top 10 singles from one album (Off the Wall).
Jackson was the first artist to have seven Top 10 singles from one album (Thriller), a feat matched only by his sister Janet and Bruce Springsteen.
Jackson was the first artist to simultaneously have the number one album and number one single on Billboard’s Pop Charts and Black Charts.
Jackson was the first artist in the 1980s to have two simultaneous Top 5 hits (”Beat It” and “Billie Jean” on April 16, 1983).
Jackson is the only artist to have five number one hits from one LP, Bad (”Bad”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, “Man in the Mirror”, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”, and “Dirty Diana”).
Jackson had nine number one singles in the 1980s, more than any other artist during the decade.
Jackson was the first artist to have a song debut as high as #5 on the Hot 100 (”Scream” in 1995).
Jackson was the first artist to ever have a song debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 (”You Are Not Alone”).[1]
Jackson’s album Bad remained in the top five of the Billboard 200 for 38 weeks, longer than any other album to date.
Jackson has had 13 number-one singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles charts, trailing only The Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18) and Elvis Presley (17).
Jackson had 28 top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, trailing only The Beatles (29), Elvis Presley (36), and Madonna (37).
Jackson had 37 top 40 hits on the Hot 100.

Okay can someone wake me up from this never ending dream?! I seriously thought MJ would NEVER leave us….never never never! We Miss you Michael, I hope you are finally getting the rest you’ve always deserved. Rest Well.

Now..I for one have NEVER thought anything bad about Michael Jackson, im 21 so when I was growing up I knew the “white” Mike and I always asked my parents if they were sure Michael was really black..it baffled me. Poeple need to understand that Michael wasn’t weird or anything…he was a sheltered boy who grew up to be a sheltered man, based on the random youtube videos I was watching today..he was extrenely shy, soft spoken and just wanted to re-live his whote life. WITHOUT Joe Jackson. He never got to play..im sure he had times where he played with his siblings but you need space from that, you need to make your own friends, Michael never had that…..so he made up for it..What’s wrong with that? Everyone always wondered why he hung around kids and liked Peter Pan and whatnot…it’s all new to him! Those molestation charges were bullshit and lies..never believed any of it. SMH. Poor Michael..I hope you had some happiness in your 50’s and with your kids because your life story is so sad. You will always be the King of MUSIC.

As far as the kids go..they aren’t his biological children…or Debbie Rowe’s…this is about to get all kinds of crazy!!! I hope they grow up to be normal, all this nonsense surrounding them. Sheeshh!!!

First, I wish all the nay sayers would just leave Michael alone, he can’t even get peace and respect in death. Second, although his father introduced them into the business, I don’t think it was worth what Michael went through til this day, if someone is constantly begging for medication and shunning people who are trying to help, then that means he was suffering and NO ONE knows what he was struggling with every day. The only love he felt was from his fans, and when he thought the world turned on him, he had nothing left and that’s when he started to self destruct, The only piece of happiness he had was HIS children, but he was tired and I just hope he can finally get the peace he sooooo longed for. Lastly, being the most sincere and giving person he was, if Michael left his father out of the will, he had good reasons for doing so, it doesn’t mean he didn’t love his father because he did, he probably still resented what his father put him through he never stopped in trying to get his father’s love and approval, by the way, I don’t like his father! anyway I am happy to have been able to grow up listening to and watching Michael, I loved him a lot along with millions of other people. Rest in Peace our KING.

@16… My exact thought: I was hoping he would perform so wicked at the shows in London that the peeps out there would see that THE KING OF POP still reigns! I’m so saddened by it all… R.I.P. M.J. (fav. song “Do you remember the time”)

From the pics M.J. still had it but you can tell he was not at his regular weight and condition. He looked a good 40lbs too small in the pic (especially when you look at his hands compared to this body).

R.I.P. Michael. May your music live on forever….
