Michael Jackson fan David Vilo pays his respects outside the Lyric Theatre which is showing “Thriller Live” a musical featuring the songs of Michael Jackson on Friday in London, England.
Fans from across the world gathered to show respect to the legendary star. Peep some pics below.

My prayers go out to his family and true FANS like my mother she really is taking it hard!!! She watch this man grow from a boy to man and studied his moves and said I want to be just like Mike!! This man was the greatest entertainer since he was an child I’m 22 years old and I knew the great he has down to the music industry at an young age R&B, pop, Rock & Roll, and esc…. Watching my mother dance around to his music then me joining in loving the sound and the amps of it!!! This Man was an Legend and his spirit will live on in all his fans hearts!! He is who the upcoming artist trying betray themselves to be!! MJ paid the way!! I love you Mike!! May you rest in Peace!!
You will be missed! Rip Michael Jackson
@43, and the whole time he was dying.. terrible
LOVE YOU MICHAEL, I WANT TA KNOW WHO DA FUCK RUNS RIHANNA DAILY DAT SHIT NEEDS TO BE CLOSE ARE CALLED DEVIL DAILY FOR THE SATAN WORSHIPPERS. SHIT
r.i.p. Micheal you’ll be missed very much
MICHAEL JACKSON THE UNDISPUTED KING OF POP. HE IS THE REASON WHY YOU SEE BLACK PEOPLE ON MTV. THERE WAS A TIME WHEN MTV DID NOT PLAY BLACK ARTISTS’ VIDEOS. IT WAS MICHAEL JACKSON THAT FORCED THEM TO BREAK DOWN THOSE BARRIERS. HE OPENED THE DOOR FOR ALL THE OTHER BLACK MUSICIANS TO BE PLAYED ON THAT NETWORK.
The whole World love Michael Jackson he was like on the level of the Pope
Rest In Peace King Of Pop!!!
I am still saddened and shocked by his death.
May Michael rest in peace. His music and legacy will live on forever!!!
goodnight… may you rest in peace mj
I hope his kids are not given to that redneck Debbie Rowe. She sold her kids off so what makes them think she actually would be a good mother. I think they would be best with Mrs Katherine Jackson. I really hope they were his biological kids. I don’t care how drastic Michaels appearance was, those kids should have had some kind of african american trait. But he loved those kids. I hate that he’s gone and I want to see him in his kids,
Now he’s at peace and also he get to see his own music idols again- Jackie Wilson- made MJ know the wicked leg moves, James Brown, dancing backwards and making his own moves- Moonwalk!! I remember on an interview and he was talking about Jackie Wilson and his music and he said he loved him so much as a child and wanted to be like Jackie Wilson, I know alot of younger groups who don’t know who is Jackie Wilson, he made a big impact on MJ life, then he got introduced to Diana Ross, I’m 29 years old, listened all Jackson 5 and MJ and this music icon of all time- IS TIMELESS TO THE FULLEST. R.I.P MJ- WE LOVE YOU AND YOU WILL BE GREATLY GREATLY MISSED!!!
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER!
R.I.P TO THE ONE OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
Big props to Angel and the staff @ CL the bg is amazing. I’m so loving it!
Where will his funeral be held? I am pretty sure millions or maybe billions of his fans around the world want to pay their last respects. They’re going to have to take Michael on a world tour. To have him eulogized in one country is almost sacrilegious.
Wow, I never knew there was so much love for Michael! I mean the way people treated and talked about him was ridiculous. Michael gets madd respect in his darkest hour. I feel like a lost a family member yesterday.
It’s something about the 25th day…
Aaliyah 8/25
Left Eye 4/25
James Brown 12/25
and MJ 6/25
i can’t stop the tears from coming..these pix make it worse. my heart is broken.
NOTHING BUT RESPECT FOR THE MAN THAT SINGLE HANDEDLY CHANGED THE FACE OF MTV. JUST LIKE SOMEONE ELSE SAID, HE WAS THE FIRST BLACK MUSICIAN TO DEBUT ON THAT NETWORK. HE CHANGED THE WAY PEOPLE CREATED MUSIC VIDEOS. NO ONE HAD EVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THRILLER. PEOPLE WOULD GATHER THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN FRONT OF THE TV TO WATCH A MICHAEL JACKSON VIDEO. CNN SHOWED HIS FANS MOURNING ALL OVER THE WORLD. I’M TALKING MALAYSIA, BEIJING, LONDON, TOKYO, AUSTRALIA, EVERYWHERE PEOPLE WERE HOLDING VIGILS FOR MIKE. JUST REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A BLACK MAN WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. YOU CAN’T NAME ANOTHER THAT HAS MADE AN IMPACT ON PEOPLE ALL AROUND THE GLOBE LIKE MIKE. HE IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF AN ICON AND A LEGEND.
Interesting how there’s hasnt been any words from Rod Temperton….
Invisble man aas always…
I am so hurt, I can’t stop crying, Words can’t explain how I feel. I feel like I lost a brother. God Bless his soul
R.I.P Michael Jackson….My Idol, inspiration & hero!…I will always love you!!..You are an angel!
James Brown Dec 25th, Aaliyah Aug 25th, Left Eye April 25th, and Michael Jackson June 25th. How ironic is that?????
@ 45 that was just stupid to say.
This is so unreal…….. Ah man…….He was definitely by far the GREATEST!! ! There will be no one like Michael Jackson…….
RIP MJ……
Off The Wall is sh$t ! ! ! ! !
i agree with some of you on the whole deal with some pics of him posted not so long ago, and you people smashed him into the ground so dont come on here acting all sad and shit when just a few days ago you didnt give a shit about him. rest in peace michael!!!!!!! by the way that shirt the dudes wearing is the shit.
Its so sad. I’m still in shock, he will be missed. He was the best that ever did it and no one will be able to take his spot. He paved the way for Usher, Chris Brown, Omarion, Ne-Yo etc. Does any one know where I can get that shirt David Vilo has on??
I remember that MTV NEVER showed a Black video. MTV was known back in the day for showing white Rock videos and BET shown Black videos. It was a known fact.
But when Mike came on the scene with Billy Jeasn the world was watching MTV. MTV could not stop watching it. Mike Jackson had such an impact on a childhood friend of mine that her mom had to place her in a children psych ward as she ran up their phone bill of 1, 500 + dollars back then calling Inglewood California in the 1980′s that was alot of money and long distance calls were very expensive. This was pre pre pre cell phone or computers. She use to tell me that she spoke to Michael. Yeah right! I mean he had that kind of swagger about him. Good memories…
Michael Jackson was more than a star. His music more than song. His talent was a testament to what music is really about. Michael Jackson transformed melody, harmony, and rhythm into expressive compositions that touched every human soul. This unique ability is what made him an Icon. I pray that in death he has found the peace he could never attain in life.
I LOVE YOU MIKE !!
I do not think he was broke. He had a tremendous amount of stress because everyone wnated a piece of him in some sort of wat. He must of known to be very careless with his money, thus people seen that he was vulnerable and brought forth frivious lawsuits. This took a toll on him. On after the other. Also, I maybe wrong but he has 40% holdings in the Beatle catalog. This was one of his best investments. Paul McCartney did not even own this. It was Michael Jackson. I believe they were jealous that a Black man took ownership of something that a White man made. Well Mike just played the old game only in reverse. It is countless times that White artist and business men owned great hits of Nat king Cole catalog (I am giving an example). Mike was ahead of his time. A visionary. I was not trying to make this a Black and White thing becasuse Mike did not believe in separation. He wanted to bring cultures together thru music. I was just giving some hindsight of the rifts he has been thru. I am so proud of Ebony magazine when they put him on the cover and honored him in Thriller 25th Anniversary. This is what Mike needed a boost in encouragement!
Im watching the insider now and they are diving into his medical history and saying he was hooked on demerol and pain killers…and to me, its like do these people not have any respect whatsoever for the passing of a human being?
Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Paul Mccartney – GO TO HELL!!!!

And all you other hollywood phonies and “so-called” friends of Michael. I don’t want to see any of you hyprocrites on tv proclaiming your love for Michael. You were NEVER a true friend to him, because when he needed you most; you turned away and didn’t want to be associated with him. The only people who stuck up for Mike were his Mother, his sister Janet, Elizabeth Taylor, his “true” Fans and fat ass Al Sharpton.
I’m not watching any TV tributes for Michael because I know a bunch of you hyprocrites will be there. Quincy Jones, I hope your constipated ass burns in hell. One thing you need to remember is that without Michael; the younger generation wouldn’t know who you are. Yeah, you were successful at the time of “Off The Wall’s release, but you were no way as famous as you are now.
And Diana Ross, your drugged up ass should be ashamed. Michael considered you his true friend. You led that boy on to believe that you really cared about him. And then left him in the dust when he needed you most. Elizabeth Taylor was the only friend who stood by his side. Elizabeth didn’t care what folks said about her relationship with Michael. But, you…you are a phony. And you didn’t even really discover the Jackson Five, Gladys Knight did.
Paul McCartney you are a bitter cry baby. PLEASE don’t let me see you on TV talking about how much you admired Michael blah, blah, blah. You held a grudge for years because he had one up on YOU. You were bitter. Don’t hate on Michael just because he was smarter than you. If you were such a good businessman you would have protected your s hit. But, Oh, well. I guess you should be happy now since Mike is leaving his catalog to you. Are you happy now?
And to the family of Michael: mostly the brothers…..PLEASE don’t trash your brother’s legacy by trying to make a profit out of Michael’s death. We all know Michael was the bread winner of the family and you all relied on him to feed you. Have some dignity and wait a few years before you perform in a tribute concert. Use this sorrowful time to reflect on SELF. Become stars on your own. Make Michael proud by doing for SELF. Don’t rely on his name to get you through life. Live your own life and leave your OWN legacy.
Oh, before I forget —- *beep* you MEDIA!!!! You are also a bunch of hyprocrites. When Michael was alive you laughed at him. You never gave him the benefit of the doubt. You were always biased and NOW —- you want to go down memory lane and pay tribute to Michael and talk about his GREATNESS and how he will be missed. *beep* YOU MEDIA —
Yes Liz Taylor was Mike good friend. There was never a doubt. She was there for his trials and spoke of good character for him. They were good friends until his death. He loved her. He stated that she was one of the most beautiful women in the world. He loved her and Diannah Ross. I dont know what happened to that. Quincy is a fake. He profited big time off this young man. He became mega millionare thru Michael. I love Michael. I just wished he wasnt so vulnerable and everyone knew it. So sad….
Oh my God they are into his medical records. What happened to the HIPPA Law?
Please I do not want to know anything private about this man. I am in the medical field and I just have so much respect for this man. I want him to leave this earth dignified. I uphold him just like Martin Luther King seriously…I do not idolize because I believe in God and uphold Him. But just the level of respect with Mr. Jackson how he changed lives. That what I go look for in respecting an indivisual…
As much as I adored and loved MJJ, watching him sing perform, his unmatched videos and dance. His unparallel talent, his genius creativity. His eccentric(in a positive and loving term), MJJ was a shrewd businessman and an actor. We must realize that MJJ created a persona that people fell in love with and admired, loved and obsessed over. It was his energy and light. But, besides that MJJ was a businessman. And that should be recognized and admired. Not yet into his late 30′s MJJ was savvy, to buy the Beattles Catalogue, and other catalogues of black artists, he owned his copyrights to his music. He knew by creating a non-threatening persona, the world embraced him, and the man mad billions for himself and the music industry. The man was a true businessman. And for that , he should be admired and studied. It’s wonderful that these black artists admired his craft, but they should look deeper into him as a man. Instead of claiming he was the best, he became that. He studied his craft, and perfected it, he had an unparallel drive, and he was calculating. Instead of bragging about his riches and flaunting his worth, he just embraced art and the business of it. But, then again how many celebrities want to became the BEST and not put in the blood sweat and tears. MJJ pushed himself beyond what was natural for any human being. He was a vegetarian, and was remarkably too skinny for his height and natural frame, because he believed in dance and the body movement. He stayed in the studio practicing and dancing for hours perfecting his art. He pushed his body , it shut down, he performed anyway with pain and all. MJJ defined entertainment. He believed in P.T.Barnum creator of the Circus, that you always put on a show.
I’m not sad that he is gone, because I didn’t know him personally. I’m sad that his art brought so much joy to my life and others and it’s a memory now. I’m sad that his life was so painful. He lived his life in fear and slandered plagued him, and he was only comfortable on stage. For the life that he was forced to live, actually a recluse and hermit he surprisingly lived a long time.
Music died yesterday.
@ #6 you’re about to make me cry again with those beautiful lyrics of his. Im still shocked and in disbelief Michael will not be forgotten
Quincy Jones never stop being MJJ’s friend. I’m pretty sure he supported MJJ when he needed him most. After all, MJJ was his little brother. I truly believe that Quincy was a true friend and supported MJJ behind the scenes, where it counts. Just because he didn’t publicly defend MJJ does not mean that behind closed doors, he spoke to MJJ, giving him love, support and contacts. That is a true friend, too never brag or showboat a friendship. And we all know that once MJJ was in the zone of his art, that was his life. And Quincy knew that . Quincy knew that MJJ , the one that was a person. So, we can’t be upset with Quincy.
Just had to point that out, Quincy and MJJ were partners , please don’t disrespect their bond.
As far as Elizabeth Taylor, she was his best friend and he hers. Taylor is just a outspoken diva, whose down like that.
Dianna Ross, well she’s probably too heartbroken to say anything.
We must remember that MJJ was the King of Pop to us, but to his inner circle he was Michael. There’s a big difference.
@94, you said it all and more. I can’t stop listening to his music all over again but everytime i do i cry so hard. This is incredibly sad and so soon for it to happen. People around took advatage of him and his money, otherwise he’d be a billionaire without a doubt. So many muti-platinum albums, so many sold-out concerts, it’s all a mystery as to why he’s in debt today… well atleast so they say. He’s the only reason i’ll be tuning in to see the BET Award show and they better get it right. For the tribute, I’d like to see:
Thriller- Chris Brown
Billie Jean- Neyo
Smooth Criminal- Usher
The Way You Make Feel- JT and Ciara(like how MJ and Britney did at the 30th anniversary show)
Black Or White- one big medley (Usher, JT, Bey, Neyo, Ciara, Chris, Dream and even some of the hip hop artists like Kanye, Wayne, Jay, Drake etc)
RIP MJ, you’ll be forever missed. Im listening to “man in the mirror” and I’m in tears.
Still can’t believe this.
now his children can show their face and live somewhat normal lives.
@ backing barack
That is so not true. Their father protected them from the media and the outside world. Now that he is gone..who will protect them now? They have even more reason to hide now. People will be battling over these kids and Michael’s assets.
I need to know where he got this t-shirt…its dope..RIP MIHEAL , A STAR GONE…
It’s amazing when trillions of us can very easily feel the exact same thing about someone we were a stranger to, but who didn’t feel like such a stranger to us. He feels more like a part of our own family that we just lost. And It’s still so difficult to digest that Michael actually did leave us. He once again topped himself by doing something that was unexpected, except we never wanted it to be this exceptional. I never ever expected this future of Michael to get here THIS soon. To see and hear ‘dead’, ‘death’, ‘died’, etc, beside Michael Jackson’s name can still feel so unreal.
Michael was incredibly amazing! He seemed like such a perfectionist that he probably pushed himself more than ever to top himself so he could give fans and everyone (including the critics prepared with their microscopic magnifying glasses) something magical for his final tour had we had the chance to see him on his big playground … the stage.
I bet most of us would love to see lots of captured rehearsal footage of his final good-bye tour. I’d definitely buy a disk if his management were to put it on sale, and maybe the sales from it could go to charities close to Michael’s heart. I don’t think there will ever be another like Michael. I expect him to be remembered for centuries just like other century(ies) ago people like Mozart and Van Gogh who gave great gifts to the world.
RIP Michael Joe Jackson. So not easy having those words right beside Michael’s name – but it’s what me and tons of us want for him.
I am in still in mourning. I can’t get over the fact that you are not here and i will never see you again. It breaks my heart somuch MIKE. Man I am suferring immensely knowing that you are gone. Just to hold you would be an honor for me MIKE.
Do you understand the mark you had left on this world. You will never know how you have impacted so many lives. There was a song dedicated to you and BET is dedicating their show to you on Sunday June 28th and I will be glued to my tv set watching it becasue I miss you so much you will never know.
Man I can’t believe this shit. MIKE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
This is still unbelievable that MJ died, its very emotional for me and my family. MJ had left and imprint/impact in everyone’s life.
May yr soul rest in perfect peace.
One other thing I would like to say, hail him, kill him ???????!!!!!!! because of all this controversy MJ died of a broken heart. He had prosperrity, all sorts of up and down. What killed him so early? Is it FAME, FAMILY, MEDIA, LIMELIGHT, INTERVIEWS BY TV ICONS, COURT CASES ETC………………….
Now he is gone, who is next???? we love you…
I HAVE PICTURES!
I spent yesterday afternoon in TIME SQUARE where MICHAEL’S WAX FIGURE was in the display window of Madame Toussainte’s Wax Museum. Along with the crowd that gathered there, I took a lot of pictures. I’d be happy to share them.
@ Asunkee,my email adress is sweet.chic@hotmail.co.uk. that is nice of you. If you chose to. can you send them please. thank you.
where did that guy get that top from? I havent seen them in the UK. maybe he got it personally made. Angel do you have any idea?
Im from the UK, i know there is alot going on for MJ in the UK. I.e Birmingham,London etc. aww that little boy is a cutie….
All around the world actually. He was loved for his music – but as a person whom helped people. To soon.
It’s still hard to believe. I pray for his family, but I do know he doesn’t have the cares of this world anymore. He is truly free. R.I.P
I like that dudes shirt in front of the musical poster…I’ve been tryna find it online
RIP Michael Jackson, you were truly a BEAUTIFUL SOUL of a person, caring, kind, & so often MISUNDERSTOOD. The LIGHT in this TRAGIC situation is that your SOUL is finally FREE from this CRUEL, CRUEL, SOCIETY & COLD, COLD WORLD.
May your SOUL REST in ETERNAL PEACE.
My heartfelt SYMPATHY & prayers go out to the ENTIRE JACKSON FAMILY, close friends, & associates, & of course to all of us FANS around the WORLD. This man has left a HUUUUUGE LAGACY behind for us to enjoy for the years & decades to come. Michaels has used his TALENTS above & BEYOND during his stay on this earth. He has honestly earned his GOLDEN WINGS for his efforts & hard, dedicated work on this earth.
