@HYABUSA RIDER & SHEENA
Those were the best comments on this whole post. Made me teary eyed!
@Hyabusa Rider, Thank u so much 4 that. Especially the last paragraph, I was thinking the exact same thing, but I was afraid 2 say it, because I didn’t want to be accused of pointing the finger in the wrong direction. So instead, I tried 2 talk around it, but you’ve giving me the strength 2 go straight at it. So here I go………..
Hell yeah Mike is the sh*t! I seen women just pass out when he walked onto the stage. Ambulances at every show! lmao!
Man that “Dirty Diana” go hard in my truck! That bass have my windows vibrating like a mugg!
Get into his music if you haven’t already. That’s some good sh*t. Songs you can play for years and years and years!
R.I.P Mike my man
So many greats have left us – James Brown, Bernie Mac, Isaac Hayes, and others, but no one ever affected me like the death of MJ. I’m heartbroken. We’ve lost a true legend. There will never be one like him now or in the future. He revolutionized and changed the face of music. We miss you, Mike. RIP, brother!
Oh, I will definitely be purchasing this!
i’m getting 5 copies!!!!!
OMG, i have two unopened 45′s of Off The Wall!!!!!! I wanna open one so bad an listen to the nostalga of a record player…..
i’m still in disbelief. this is soooo crucial.
The song was called “Keep It In the Closet” because that is what he was trying to do his entire career concerning his true nature and sexuality. For the people in the know who understand how “TIME” magazine, an Illuministic publication, operates, notice that they have his head framed under the “M” in “TIME” to symbolize him being a devil-worshiper. This trick was caught onto when Bill Clinton was on the cover years ago, and a big deal was made about it. In reality, it is done with all big “stars” because they all are in the same cult.
I will be purchasing a copy of TIME Commerative Michael Jackson Issue. You know Michael Jackson was someone special when the local radio station played his music from 8 am to 5 pm and did not repeat not one song! Michael Jackson, may you rest in Peace.
@ westndbeauty
I live in GA and even the country music stations were playing MJ. (I only know this because I work with all white people and they usually choose the radio station @ work lol) I was like huh? But like you said…He was special.
I love the cover that’s one of my favorite video shots of MJ. He looked so good and fresh faced, I will miss him so much im still deeply sad. His fans loved him so much just looking at videos of his u can tell, all the people crying at his concerts, girls practically ripping their hair out. His music and talent are one of a kind. I grew up with his music I feel like a part of me is gone as well. Love u MJ.
R.I.P. Michael from Orleans, France
Will be getting my copy!
Thx CL! I will purchase as soon as it is available! Elvis couldn’t hold a light to MJ’s legacy! R.I.P. MJ!!!
Nice cover, Michael looks good in that pic. That pic is from my favorite video “In the closet”. Mike’s tragic death has effected me greatly and I am so sorry to see a true talent leave this earth too soon. Despite his bizarre actions and looks, it seems Mike was a truly good person and a REAL talent that is surely gonna be missed!!! It’s too bad it took his death for him to go back to the top of the charts.
Yes, this was the song with Naomi Campbell ,”Keep It in the Closet” which was made into a love song between man and female despite the connotation of “In the Closet” But at the end of the day I do not give a darn of what Michael Jackson private life was. His music helped me in my life. I met my first love around the time “The Way You Make Me Feel” became my first love saronade that song to me.
I am soo crushed. Michael Jackson was part of my personal life. We had a relationship even though I have never met him. He impacted me in so any ways. A sensless death. He wanted to escape the pain of being falsly accused. I hate all those vultures that took advantage of him, stoled money, laughed at him, be littled him.
Yes he hid. He did not like himself. He had a dysmorphic body image problem obssessive compulsive disorders, (spending, plastic surgeries), and other issues. He was hurting so inside, which showed exteriorly. He numbed the pain and became reclusive. He felt safe with children because They were like him innocent.
The media practically destroyed this man. They tried to destroy Janet, but she took those negative energies and went another direction and was so graceful with it.
I hope people will finally understand that this man was ahead of his time. Such a gentle soul. A vulnerable soul. Rest now Michael so no can hurt you anymore. I enjoyed my life with your music and dance….
damn.. i still can’t belive it.. he will be live forver.. love and miss… damn;(
@ 55. HYABUSA RIDER & 63. BOBBY
I agree 100%
That’s a great cover choice for the magazine. Hope I get mine before it sells out in my local stores.
I probably heard my first story about a very celebrated ‘person’ and his backstabbers when I was a small kid. One of the backstabber’s ended up becoming too focused on bringing down the celebrated one. He sold him out with and to the people who not only compared the celebrated one to the devil but also spread unsubstantiated ugly rumours about him. That backstabber/betrayer was JUDAH, or Yehudah, but better known as Judas. The celebrated one’s name is Jesus.
Obviously Michael was not even CLOSE to what the biblical Jesus is. But my point is that though Michael was not convicted and no one but him and the 2 kids know what the truth really is, the haters still insist on continuing to destroy him just days after his passing as if the alleged convictions are the absolute truth. Must be nice being such extraordinary psychics. Also, I didn’t think all Michael’s plastic surgeries and eccentricities were necessary but it would be stupid of me to destroy his image because of that, especially just days after his passing. Anyway, I’ll be getting my copy of that Time mag that has Michael’s head framed on the 1st letter of his name.
@Judah
I’ve read some of your posts before, I don’t understand how Michael could be a part of all that stuff and not get ‘protected’ why was he so vilified by the media, a lot of he’s celebrity friends turned their back on him, left to promote himself. I don’t doubt there is a lot of truth in some of what you say but I don’t get it.
Back to topic, I agree with a lot of the previous, if he did those things, why was he allowed to keep his kids. I’m mad about the list of celebrity friends, people that never had time for him before, the record companies that have never given black artists a fair deal even though they’re still making money from people like Marvin Gay, Billy Holiday, muddy waters and now Michael too years on from now I directly accuse them too. The whole music industry is messed up and I’m not supporting it no more.
I’m glad that his fans got to show him how much they cared for him by supporting his concert, they camped outside in the cold weeks before tickets went on sale.
Michael paid a big price for music, I hope that people remember that.
What in the world kinda pants do he got on??
That’s a great cover choice for the magazine.
And I agree too with you all who don’t feel Micheal should be accused of being guilty of something we’re not 100% sure of.
Like a lot people, one of the very first stories I heard was about a celebrated ‘person’ and his backstabber. The backstabber ended up becoming so focused on bringing down the celebrated one that he sold him out with and to the people who not only spread unsubstantiated ugly accusations about him but also compared him to the devil. The backstabber’s name was JUDAH, but better known as the Greek anglicized name Judas. The celebrated one’s name is Jesus.
Obviously Michael was not even close to what the biblical Jesus is. But seeing posts like Judah’s had me thinking of the biblical story. Michael was not even convicted of child abuse and no one but him and the 2 kids really know the truth. Yet just days after his passing the haters still insist on spreading accusations that he is 100% guilty. I wish I had the extraordinary psychic abilities the haters have.
I don’t think all Michael’s plastic surgeries and eccentricities were necessary but I wouldn’t destroy his image over that either, especially just days after his passing. Anyway, I’ll be getting my commemorative mag too before it sells out. Nice coincidence that Michael’s head is on the first letter of his name on Time.
OOPS! Sorry for the double post. It’s similar to my previous post in this thread that still didn’t show up, on my end anyway, though at least 20 minutes had passed.
KAYLONIE SAYS> What in the world kinda pants do he got on??
THE KIND YOUR BROKE AZZ CAN’T AFFORD! SILLY B!TCH!
@ 83, LOL. That was funny. Love you.
I gotta get that!
Where is Diana Ross?
LOL@83
Michael always tried to break up with dichotomies, dismantle supposedly opposite concepts and take them to pieces. Such issues were black – white ; woman – man ; old – young ; animal – human ; western culture – world cultures. That´s His legacy, a world without artificial barriers or limits, a more sensitive perception of the life itself. His originality is a clear message of unnormative personality Who had to put up with all sorts of attacks of ignorance. His innocence and spontaneity was enough to swipe off those doubts in no time.
His charisma and stage magnetism together with his personal life formed some a sort of an integral piece of art, a soulful and vivid creation or a show of an human being expressing himself. This work of art is immortal.
MJ changed the music industry forever. He created new combinations of genres and traditions or was greatly influential to their further development. He opened the road to afros in the society, most of all in the MTV. This example of a powered black representation policy is still felt all around the globe, as if even Barrack Obama would be a child of this generation. Michael showed us that there´s no impossible with his amazing dance moves. He also created the requisite of artists’ performing policies.
Michael is one of the most influential architects of an era, of the post-modernity. It´s Him who broke with so many traditions and forms, Who created new synthesis and meanings, all together showed a road to the art of a new millennium with his bold actions.
Thank you Michael, You’re a legend. My life wouldn´t have been the same without You.
I will miss Michael Jackson. He is a geart man. When do the special commemorative edition.
I still have Jet and Ebony magazines from 1992 with MJ on the cover. Gotta add this to the collection
HIS SMILE, OH BOY, HIS SMILE IS LIKE NON-OTHER!
RIP MIKE!
It’s still unbelievable that he’s gone. I just can’t believe it.. Michael Jackson RIP
He was a pretty man….
