For this edition of ‘Who GQ’d It’ we have singer/actor Tyrese Gibson and rapper Jibbs rocking the same ‘COLUMBIA TRENCH COAT’ by Monarchy Collection ($297).
Tyrese rock’d his earlier this month while he was on promo in Japan for the new Transformers movie. Jibbs (best known for his ’07 song “Chain Hang Low”) wore his over the weekend at the ’09 BET AWARDS. Take your pick…

I THINK BOTH OF THEM WORE IT WELL, HOWEVER, I THINK JIBBS KINDA MISSED IT WITH THE SHOES. MAYBE HE SHOULDA WORN LIKE BLACK KICKS, OR GREY, OR JUST A SOLID COLOR, CUZ THOSE LIL GRAPHICS ON THE SIDE AINT CUTTIN IT FOR THE TRENCH.

I think I like the jacket more so dressed down….. Im not feelin’ Tyrese shoes or pants with the jacket.. Especially the pants.. 2 different kinds of material…Clashin’ if u ask me..

TO ME YOU CAN’T “GQ” ANYTHING IN SNEAKERS.
I prefer the jacket open as opposed to belted. When belted it just makes Tyrese look way bigger on top and boxy. Its just not flattering closed on him in my opinion and even though i prefer it open how Jibbs is wearing it, I don’t like anything else he has on. I love the idea of sneakers with a nice sophisticated trench coat.. but it has to be the right kind of sneakers. Those arent them. So in this case I’m gonna have 2 go with neither ;( Tyrese got that winning smile though
