After much anticipation for new material from Andre 3000, one half of the dynamic duo, OutKast. He announced later last year that he was working on a new solo project, but this new track, “Lookin’ 4 Ya” is from the new DJ Envy and Tapemasters Inc.’s mixtape, Purple Codeine 25.
Although it’s not the psychedelic, experimental rollercoaster ride I had expected from Andre 3-Stacks, I’m pleased to at least get a little taste. I want to hear him do some more singing, too. Hopefully this new album will be a balance.

I was just listenin to The Love Below album yesterday. Looove his ear for music. I agree with Brian I was expecting something way out of the ordinary but this is cool.

This is just what I needed. It bothers me that this review asks for more singing from him. He is a rapper first…the singing was a move to switch his style up & after The Love Below, I needed more rapping from him. Nice comeback Andre. I’m a little bothered by the fact that this is on Envy’s mixtape. Envy is really wack.

Honestly, Andre could say the damn ABC’s and I would be in love with it. His voice just does something to me, whether he’s talking, singing, humming, sneezing, ahaha! I just love me some him. So needless to say, I like the song and I too, cannot wait until he drops more music. Regardless if it’s as Outkast or solo stuff, I’ll support it.
