I am a Christian and I know a few Gay people and I love them. However, the question is DO I SUPPORT THEIR WAY OF LIFE? Of course I don’t. But if they want to live in sin and they wont listen to my encouragements they will be the ones spending the rest of their lives in HELL not me.

Of course Christians love beyond all those things you previously mentioned but we have to love everyone, we may not support what they do but we love them. So I think what CJ was trying to say is that Michelle claims herself a Christian yet she is performing (supporting) gay rights and a real Christian does not and will not do that. Now you may think there is nothing wrong with being gay but from how I was raised and based on the Bible, there is.

God looks beyond our faults if we realized the sins that we have comitted and REPENT. That is one of the first few steps to becoming a Christian. You have to admit that you have sinned and asked God for forgiveness. So if I lied today, I would pray and ask God to forgive me.

HOWEVER, if you are GAY and you KNOW the Bible SPECIFICALLY dismisses that way of life and you are still considering yourself a Christian, forget it. Because you are knowingly sinning, and you are not asking God to deliver you from that evil. So if you died right then and there, based on the Bible, you would go to hell. A sin is a sin..correct. But every sin is taken differently.

Being gay and considering yourself is just like me claiming myself a theif, knowing it is against God, but considering myself a Christian and going to Church every sunday.

The fact that some HOMOSEXUALS KNOW THAT GOD DISAPPROVES OF THEIR WAY OF LIFE and continue to be HOMO..is a MAJOR sin. Usually when people lie they repent. But you can’t consider yourself GAY and go home every night and say “Dear God forgive me for being gay”. You can’t do that because you’re going to wake up and be gay all over again….it is your way of life not some one moment thing like I lie.

And if you continue to sin because you know that you just repent in the end, The Bible says God will not accept your “repentence” if you are not progressing on getting better. So if I steal on the DAILY and just say “I can just repent tonight” the Bible says God will not accept that. If you are not getting better or at least trying, it is obvious that you are just using REPENTENCE as a backup to clear your sins but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way.

Because, the LAST TIME I CHECKED (yesterday in Church), The Bible SPECIFICALLY states HOMOSEXUALITY as a sin.

Have you ever heard the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? To make a long story short, it was town in which practically everyone was Homosexual and basically, God burnt it to the ground. I don’t feel like explaining everything but look it up on the internet. Or in the Bible I BELIEVE it is Genesis 19?

It is a sin boo boo. Sorry, I know you want to believe that it isn;t but quite frankly it is.

The main point of genders being attracted to the opposite sex is so that we can “mate” and produce offspring; which is really the basic point of sex. How can you produce offspring with the same gender? You can’t. If we all went GAY the human population would die off, wouldn’t it. EXHIBIT A , meaning that it is not meant to be.

Notice how humans are the only species to be this way? Why you ask. Because animals don’t sin, they don’t go to heaven nor hell. So the devil will not taunt them with evil spirits to do the wrong things. Homosexuality comes from the devils evil thoughts he gives you but trust me, if you ask God for help everything will be better.

I’m a gay white man and I had to comment on this post. Trust me, it would be so much easier to be straight and I’ve tried. The truth is, I can’t change the fact that I’m gay any more than an african american can’t change the fact that they’re black. It’s not a spiritual sickness and it sure as Hell isn’t a choice. It’s not an affliction that can be cured by prayer because God made me this way. It saddens me to see the amount of ignorance and intolerance in these comments. HENCE, to use the Bible, word for word, as a yardstick for our present day societal norms, regulations, etc is ineffective and dangerous. Love, Respect, Caring, Empathy— THESE should be our yardsticks! Because these are the only true, pure manifestations of God.

May I also remind you that the bible was (actually still is by some) use to justify the subjugation of the black race? Blacks were considered the tainted race and countless horrible atrocities performed by “devout Christians” were justified through the bible.

Anywho. In conclusion I’m proud of Michelle for branching out and I wish her all the luck int he world with her new gig. Chicago is one of my favorite musicals!
