Guess who performed during the Sumfest music festival in Jamaica this past weekend? Hint: Her new album is scheduled for a November release.
It’s singer Toni Braxton (pictured above with Beenie Man). Word is she has just completed her new album which is tentatively titled ‘Pulse’ and it is scheduled for a November release. In a recent interview, the 40 year-old revealed that the first single will be out in some time next month.

I’m sure Toni had technical difficulties because it was an outside performance, and that’s her first live show in over a year since she was diagnosed with microvascular angina. Judging from the videos on youtube she was not lip-synching, the band was just too loud for her mic. The people who were behind the technical aspect of the performance, should have not got paid and should work better for a SUPER-MEGASTAR DIVA like TONI BRAXTON!!!

SMH@ the title of this post. This blog stays on Beyonce’s bra strap. This is the 2nd time they’ve blatantly accused someone of being “Beyonce-esque”. The other time was LeToya a few weeks ago. It’s good to see from the comments most people have enough sense to see she is not copying Beyonce. As said already plenty of times before, Toni has had this showgirl look ever since 2000 when “He wasn’t Man Enough for Me” came out. She has also worn golden brown hair since 1996. Tina Turner is the one who put the showgirl look on the map and besides Etta James she also was one of the first black singers to rock blond hair. People give a lot of these artists in this era too much credit they don’t deserve. Only a handful of singers this decade have been original with their look and Beyonce sure as hell ain’t one of them.

Well in CL’s defense it does look like Bee. However Toni has been rockin similar looks for years since “The Heat” dropped if not before.
